  • Amazing! This dentist AND staff are so friendly and knowledgable. They take their time with you. Answer any questions and make you feel very welcome and comfortable. This dentist treats his staff like family! My kids love all of them!

  • His care is fantastic. We are in the military and we don't have continuity of providers. He did not try to anything major or any unnecessary procedures. He is nice, personable, and easy to talk to. My daughters also like him. His staff is great. They are all prompt and never have problems with billing. Overall, we are pleased with the care.

  • I was smiling through the appointment because of how amazed I was at this dentist's interaction with my 18 month old son. They did not sedate him, they did not tie him down, or do any of those other things I have heard horror stories about at other pediatric dentist offices. Rather, they had him sit in my lap, while the dentist sang to him. He played a game of counting his ears, nose, and then teeth..... At some point when the procedure became a bit more aversive I gently held my son's hands down while the cartoons played in the background and the dentist continue to sing to him about what he was doing. At the end of the visit he got to go to the toy basket and pick a toy.
I was shocked at how great this dentist was. Yes, it takes a long time to get in for a first visit - but that is normal with great providers. Now that my son is an established patient it is easy to get back in.
Fluoride was applied to the tooth - which was declared hypoplastic enamel... Returned after one week for repeat fluoride application with no charge. Will go back in three months. If problems continue with sensitivity, might have to cap the tooth. I also liked how much information the dentist gave to me after the evaluation; he was very thorough, and had a great bedside manner, both with the child and the parent!
So glad I picked this dentist. Very happy.

  • All the people who work here, from the administrative staff to the dental assistants to Dr. Chiaramonte, have to be some of the friendliest people in the dentistry field! They all had a smile for us when we walked in, and we did not end up waiting very long in the waiting room. The facility is clean and the equipment up-to-date (from my layman's perspective, anyway!), and the service was efficient. Great experience and great place!

  • My experience with McIlwain Dentistry has always been the best. My children have been seen in both office locations. I have never had any issues. The staff is very friendly and they have all been there for years. Its nice to see the same faces year after year. I believe that helps my children feel more comfortable as well. They offer adult dentistry and sedation dentistry as well. Very nice place! Love them!!!

  • For sedation my son received a sedative prior to going to the office and receiving the i.v. This allowed him to be calm while the i.v. was applied and then he was completely sedated during the procedure to remove the necessary baby teeth and clean the teeth while there. All went well and as it should have. The office continued to communicate with us after the procedure when we had questions about the healing process. This is a drastic step (sedation) but for my son with his autism spectrum issues a necessary step to take for this particular process.

  • I have been taking my child to them for about three years. They have great services. The dentist is very personable and accommodating. I rarely have to wait in the waiting room, they take him right in.
    - Chris F.
  • He is very good and it is very friendly for kids. They were very patient with my daughter who was two and a half years old. They got her to cooperate. They sent me some sort of form letter by mistake that said my daughter had cavities and that I had failed to schedule a return appointment. So I had to call them back because that was a mistake. She had no problems in her mouth. They obviously didn't have good communication somehow in their office.
    - Lauren C.
  • I have been using him for probably about two years or so.  I like the fact that it's a dentist's office that is geared toward children.  They have stuff to keep the kids entertained and all of that.  My wife uses him when she takes them.  They do a good job.  Any dentist that the kids don't mind going to is probably a good dentist.  He has a good way of interacting with the kids and making them okay with getting their teeth cleaned.  There is nothing that super stands out about them, but they're good.  I'm happy with them.
    - Christian H.
  • I hate the dentist, but I had the best experience with them. Every appointment I have been to, I had to wait. They are prompt with the kids' appointments. It is the adults' appointments that you have to wait.
    - Brendan F.
