Storage Unit reviews in Wellington

We used Brandon to move our belongings. It was no easy task as we had lived in the same house for 47 years. We had to put our goods in storage while renovations were being done to our new home. The Brandon crew was kind and courteous from the first phone call to the last piece of furniture being placed in the house. I don't think we will be moving again but if we did I certainly would use Brandon Transfer to do it.

Move On Demand has moved us twice and it went great both times.  They are fast, efficient, friendly and reliable.  I would use them again and would highly recommend them to others planning a move.

Well I will try to be as brief as I can for what was a complicated move. The story starts when I contracted to purchase a home with a closing date 5 months away. I thought that would give me plenty of time to sell my home. Surprisingly my home sold within 48 hours and the buyers needed a closing within one month. I found a furnished rental for the interim period but what about the contents of my home? That is where Move On Demand comes into the story. They helped locate a reliable safe climate-controlled storage facility. They packed and wrapped all the contents of my home and moved them into storage.

Some of the outdoor items they moved to another location obligingly. Three months later everything was delivered to my permanent home. Now, I am not going to pretend that there weren't a few nicks on furniture - there were and they were very minor. I have never employed a mover who was as good as Move On Demand. It is obvious to me that all their employees take pride in their work and want deliver the very best service. One final note every fragile item they wrapped and boxed arrived in perfect condition.

We called late on a Saturday needing to find a storage shed to keep our overflow of "stuff" after relocating from Maryland to Florida. They went above and beyond to help us get a storage unit and move things in that day. The units are clean, they supply a lock and it is climate controlled. The staff is fast, and the willingness to show us different units was amazing. The price is very comparative, even less then other places in the area.

Quote was for about $1000.   So here are my issues:
    1. they could not fit everything into the truck, I have a normal amount of stuff for a 3 bedroom house, I listed everything in the home for them to give me a quote. They offered to go and come back but that would have chewed up too much time and cost me too much money. Their response was if I let them pack all of my stuff it would have all fit.  Who says that to a customer?
    2. They asked "do you want us to wrap your furniture to avoid damage?"  - I thought ... umm yeah, you are movers, you are supposed to do that, that's why I hired professionals.  Then I am told it's $8.00 per furniture blanket to wrap my stuff.  Wait what?  So be aware this is an extra charge to do the job correctly.  Now I know I am moving into storage so the would not get the blankets back right?  well... I had a second move - from storage to my new house set for 3 weeks later.  You would think with a guaranteed second move from me they wouldn't charge me for the blankets.  So I inquired and the answer was they would buy them back on my second move for $4.00 a piece.   So they lost a second guaranteed job because they wanted to nickel and dime me over blankets.
    3. They damaged a bunch of stuff putting into storage, I mean they piled and balanced stuff in ways that just don't make sense resulting in damage.  My wife's antique rocking chair - was balanced on top of a dresser on its side with a metal shelving unit placed (carefully balanced) on top of it.  I mean... a shelving unit... maybe put that on the floor and put boxes on the shelves to conserve and properly utilize space?  ceiling fan was also performing the perfect balancing act until the unit was closed and it all came crashing down (and broke).... sure I can call them and get .60/pound for damage.. so what like 8 bucks for my $200 ceiling fan? and for an antique irreplaceable rocking chair? waste of time.  So you might ask why didn't I stop them?  I didn't stand over their shoulder, nor should I have to.  I let them do their job without hovering.
The good - at least the guys worked hard, didn't sit around like Ive seen some movers do.  They busted their butts.  The job went 2 hours over the quote - WHICH WAS FINE, no complaints there at all whatsoever...
So bottom line my 1000 quote cost me 1700... (+ more for tipping the guys).  If they didn't charge for blankets they were going to get back they would have had a second job.  the blankets alone cost me almost $300....  I had other quotes, they were not the cheapest but I thought you get what you pay for so I wont take the low bidder.  Next time, lowest bidder gets the job, couldn't be any worse.  Obviously I wont be using them to move next week out of storage so I wont get my $150 for the blankets... I could probably get more for them on craigslist anyway.

We stored enough items to fill a four bedroom house and we had a lot of problems with them. We had our stuff in storage for 5 years. They delivered the items with mold and some items from the shipment were missing. We had paid extra for climate controlled storage and it should not have been delivered moldy. We made arrangements with them to do the move and we chose them over two other companies as they quoted the best price. On the day of the move they made us pay more money for the service. The drivers and the guys that did the loading and unloading did do a good job. The storage and pricing was where the problem was.

It could not have gone better. I hate moving and they made the move go smoothly. They were speedy in packing all of our things. The moving people themselves were equally as good, they protected our walls, banister to ensure nothing got damaged. The price they quoted us was the price it actually ended up costing. They were responsive, puntual and professional. I would use them again in an instant.

Rare to have any kind of good moving experience in Florida but these guys were fantastic. I had to postpone three times due to the sellers bank issues and Jack never missed a beat. He accommodated me at every turn with a pleasant response and a can do attitude. I am pretty darn customer service oriented in my business and i just cant say that I would have been so gracious! The guys that came were yes sir and no sir all the way. Friendly and careful. Does not get much better than that.

They are awesome. It was a complex move. I recommend and trust them without reservations. I was able to trust the movers with my family while I was out of town. It could not have been better. They did a very good job.

Employees who did packing were great. Sales & operations manager mislead me & I felt anxious before the move.
