He doesn't over react to anything. We both appreciate that. My daughter is two. She has become a little more comfortable. She actually gets better each time. He is always on time. He can run hot and cold. She has always been treated spot on.

Our daughter kept coughing and wheezing as soon as the weather changed. Our previous pediatrician did not like to "classify" children with Asthma even though she has taken asthmatic medicine via a nebulizer since very young, and she was prescribed Singular as a preventative. After a full evaluation of our daughter, Dr. Santiago diagnosed her with Asthma and prescribed for her an inhaler and gave us tips on managing her condition. We have had a couple of flare ups, but with this proper diagnosis, we were able to quickly turn around the coughing and wheezing. We were very impressed with Dr. Santiago.

I understand that doctors worry about over treating/ medicating our children, but they must listen to the parents, and look at the history of the children. I don't feel my instincts were respected, or considered when diagnosing my children, and who knows my kids better.... Me or the doctor??

I have been extremely please with the over all friendliness and bedside manner of the staff. Andrea (Nurse Practitioner) has been the one to see my son for all his wellness checkups and we were very pleased with how friendly she was, and her attention to detail.

I went to this practice based on reviews here on Angies List. I saw good things written about Drs. Chan and Santiago, who are in the Royal Palm Beach, Florida office so I made an appointment for my 18 month old son there even though the Wellington office is slightly closer to my house. The front desk was friendly and helpful. Dr. Chan was fine. Nothing spectacular. His exam was very basic; however, it was just a well baby exam. No great bedside manner and not very friendly. He did not ask me if I had any questions or concerns, but overall he was fine. When he was leaving he said the nurse would be coming in to give my son his immunization shots. We waited nearly an hour for the nurse to come in. The examining room was hot without much moving air, whihc made juggling a n 18 month old even worse. The staff looked very annoyed that I opened the door and let them enjoy the sounds of a half naked 18 month old confined to a paper covered examinaing table for almost an hour. I asked twice when he would be getting his shots and was told and quot;she will be there soon. When the nurse finally came in she mumbled her apologies and advised that they were short staffed that morning. I had a 7:50 am appointment. Even assuming they had a couple of patients before me, how far behind could they possibly be by 7:50am?

I have two small kids so I see them continuously. You can get an appointment very quickly and they have after-hours care which is very convenient. The wait time can be a little long but the fact that you can get an appointment quickly makes up for that. The punctuality depends on the time of day. We definitely will go back.

He's wonderful and we still see him. And he's very knowledgeable. He can be a little short sometimes when you're not taking control of your child's health, he really wants you to be proactive. But only because he's acting for the best interest of your child. He's really fantastic.

This doctor is very caring and wonderful.  She is an expert in the field of pediatrics.  Her wealth of knowledge is immeasurable.  She takes the time to listen to the concerns of her patients and families.  She is very thorough in her physical examinations. The only downside to using this pediatrician is that since she is a solo practitioner, she does often run "behind" schedule and doesn't keep her appt. times.  I have had to wait in the waiting room for up to 2 hrs.  The average wait is about 1 hr.   The best way to get around this is to schedule your appt. first thing in the morning when she opens, to lessen the waiting time.  This only works if your child is not ill and the appt. is scheduled in advance.  If you call the same day for a sick child, then she will see your child the same day, but the office staff "squeezes" you in, thus, making her run late.  It's not really in her control, most of the time, so therefore, I don't complain.  From my experiences, the wait has been well worth it!  She never misses a thing and is very comprehensive in her exams and answers all and any questions or concerns that you have!  This is why I love this doctor.

Advice: you have to call the office that you want an appointment at, so if you need afterhours care you have to call the after hours palm beach pediatrics office or noone will return your call and that was my mistake. When we got to office we had to wait quite some time because it was the weekend. The visit took about 1.5 hours, but we were only in the dr's office for about 20 minutes. The doctor's and nurses were VERY nice and courteous and treated my daughter and my family with upmost respect. Recommendation: do not go on weekend if you can avoid it, but if you do know that you will be charged a higher patient visit fee and that the wait times are longer. A few weeks later we went back for another check up and the wait time was still about 15-25 minutes which can seem like forever as a recovering C-section mom, but it wasn't as bad as the hour wait we experienced the first time.
