    My home has a dual zoned air conditioning system and I recently had to replace both units. ECM installed both replacement units. The installers came on time, were extremely professional, very neat cleaning everything before they left, showed total respect for my home at all times and had their own inspector come to be sure that all electrical connections were done properly and according to code. I would highly recommend ECM for air conditioning service and replacement and any other repair /replacement work in your home. They are excellent.

    Contacted them for a/c problem. The guy they sent blew air into the pipe and damaged them. The pipes separated which started to leak. I call Choice and they said they weren't responsible and to call the a/c company. The a/c company never answered my calls.

    The installation was a mess. 10 hours, Plus they installed the UV Light wrong and charged me a lot of $$$ Plus the monthly maintenence plan, the workers insulted us, told us do go get a vacuum at home depot and clean out the pipe ourselve, I have cancel when contract expired. Plus Read the Contract, they exclude ALOT and wI'll charge you extra, even if you have their monthly plan.

    I have been using their warranty services since 2009 when I purchased the home. It covers mostly everything from the major appliances to the HVAC unit.  They have replaced the water heater, microwave, and done some other claims for me. When they did not have a contractor in the area for the water heater, I had to pay for the cost and submit the claim for reimbursement. When I faxed the request in, they were very quick and had reimbursed me in about ten days. I was impressed and pleased that they processed the reimbursement that quickly. They have been good overall.

    I had an expensive contract...I called about my A/C going out and agreed to pay for Emergency repair on Sat.
    They came Sat. evening and diagnosed problem but didn't have the part. Said I would be fixed on Monday
    Late! Monday afternoon person came and 'played' with me about a 'second' part he couldn't fix - until I gave him
    $75 dollars extra. He finally fixed the part. This cost me $186 out of pocket! I was paying over $450 / year.
    1. He wasnt supposed to charge me extra - company repaided me after I complained - he still works for them
    2. He lied that he fixed me early in the afternoon when he really came in the evening...
    I have dropped my contract with this company -

    I have mixed emotions.  For that routine maintenance, I had called them when it was in-season in Florida and they could not give me any kind of reasonable time to get that service done.  I couldn't get an appointment for months and I had to make special arrangements to have someone at the house.  I have tried to call the owners on other contract issues before and they are very unapproachable, standoffish and rigid.  I'm hedging having to use this provider again because of these contract issues.

    Service America is VERY VERY BAD!!! They have made and confirmed appointments on several occasions and never showN up to make repairs. They give lame excuses such as parts did not come in and other lies I have caught them in. Customer service is slow about returning calls as well. SAVE YOUR MONEY.... SERVICE IS AMERICA IS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!

    Avoid this company; they have a real and genuine problem with integrity.  

    • When my air conditioning system failed in July 2009, they lied and told me the system wasn���t repairable. 
    • Then they lied and told me my old system was too small for my house (2.5 ton unit in a 1526 sq ft home) and I needed a three ton system.  (The size I had is in the service range for 1526 sq feet plus my ducts were designed for 2.5 ton.) 
    • I chose their most expensive offering, the Trane XL20i because they lied that this system would save a ���considerable amount of energy��� and lower my power bill. 
    • They lied when I ask if the 3 ton system would work with my ducts designed for 2.5 ton. (I later learned that Trane XL20i does not come in 2.5 ton size.  They had to convince me I had to have three tons so they could steer me to their high margin machine.) 

    Avoid Trane as well as they have no customer support network. 

    This energy efficient system that was to pay for itself in three to four years has caused a 15% increase in my power bill.  Over the 12 year life of this appliance, I will pay for it three times over.

    The city building mechanical inspector tells me that what ECM wants to do to make the oversize system ���work better��� (still not work to Trane specifications), is best described as jerry-rigged and a huge code violation.

    ECM falsified my contract saying they removed a three ton system when they in fact removed a 2.5 ton system.  Theythen falsified the building permit by saying it was an ���exact change out��� when it was not.  They also falsified the building permit by showing a lower valuation than what I was charged, cheating the City out if proper fees.
