    This company had good ratings so I selected them. I quickly found out that timeliness and commitment to making appointments was not part of their "DNA". They showed up late 2x (1-3 hours late and one time after confirming an appointment via email, they no showed. The business' ability to respond to voicemail or email normally took between 4-7 business days. Texting was equally poor response time. When I expressed my disappointment repeatedly via voicemail and email, they elected to terminate the contract early. They did return my funds (pro-rated) which is good, however if you are looking for a reliable and responsive local business you can trust related to your home security, I'd look at other alternatives. I got the distinct impression that I was an inconvenience in their day and expressing my disappointment was more than they could tolerate.

    TERRIBLE I was in the market for a new alarm company. I was getting quotes from 3 different companies. I own 4 homes in the neighborhood and I have used Vivant at one of them for the past 4 years without issue, so I gave Vivant the opportunity to bid on my personal residence as well. I spoke with a sales person at Vivant on Sunday, June 4, 2016 at about 11:30 AM named Kelton Holbrook, NIS Account Management, P: 877.649.9077 ��� Ext 0378 his email is: kelton.holbrook@vivint.com Kelton sold me a Vivant Smart Home System with 6 Cameras and PROMISED to get it installed on Thursday, June 8, 2016 between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM. As said, I was getting quotes from 3 companies and my deciding factor was having been a current Vivant Customer at one of my investment properties and the SPEED that Kelton Holbrook (knowing that a fast installation was my motivating factor) assured me that the new system would be installed at my home that Thursday by a Vivant Installer named Paul. Having used Vivant the past 4 years at the other property, I had no problem giving Kelvin a credit card number to guarantee the services and my credit card was charged the 1st months fee in advance. The total amount financed was $3,093.83 and my total monthly payment was to have been $105.06 for 5 years. Kelton emailed the order and my address was wrong. It took 6 attempts to get Vivant to change the address to the correct one at 11446 54th St N, West Palm Beach, FL 33411. I had to call Vivant 6 DIFFERENT TIMES and spent over 4 HOURS on the phone on Sunday trying to get the address and order items CORRECTED. One call I was kept on hold over 15 minutes before anyone answered. After completing the Vivant Customer Survey in an unfavorable manner I was contacted by Camille Bidstrup, Customer Satisfaction Specialist, vivint.SmartHome, Customer Solutions, 4931 N. 300 W. Provo, UT 84604 P: 855.898.8909 Ext: 31111, camille.bistrup@vivint.com. NO FOLLOW UP��� ANOTHER VIVANT DISAPPOINTMENT!!! I received a text message on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 6:30 PM asking me to text YESINSTALL to confirm the install on 6/8 which I did and received a thank you text. I still have this on my IPhone. I had emailed Kelton with questions on the system asking him to call. He didn���t call. On Wednesday, I called Vivant at 8:30 PM to ask my questions. I told the rep that my system was to be installed in the morning and was informed that the Installer had cancelled my installation. I was DUMBFOUNDED AND SHOCKED! I called back and spoke to an Account Manager named Grace with Badge # 144236 at 855-686-4587. Grace said she escalated my order and would try to find an installer and PROMISED to call me back before midnight EST when she went home. SHE NEVER CALLED BACK! Yet another Vivant disappointment. Vivant now tells me they cannot install my system for ANOTHER WEEK until June 16, 2017. BASED ON PROMISSES MADE BY VIVANT IN EMAIL AND TEXTS TO INSTALL THIS SYSTEM ON Thursday, June 08, 2017 I HAVE CANCELLED MY CURRENT ALARM COMPANY SERVICES LEAVING MY PROPERTY UNPROTECTED. I am 63 years old. I am not technical. I trusted Vivant from past dealings. I believe I was promised the Thursday installation to obtain my business and that they have committed: A Crime Against A Senior Citizen, Consumer Fraud, Bait & Switch.

    I must mention that SimpliSafe tech support is very professional, easy to talk to, and helpful.  Overall the system works, but having had the experience of many different systems here are my observations.  Mainly the hardware is disappointing.  The entry sensors are huge and unsightly, about 2-3 times the size of that most systems I have experienced.  In contrast the keypad has an extremely small digital display with very small touch keys which makes it easy to make mistakes when punching in codes.  In general the hardware has the appearance of CHEAP construction. I was disappointed and felt as if I had been the recipient of the old "bait and switch" tactic regarding the monthly monitoring fee.  Angie's list advertises $15 per month without contract, which in part is true, but covers only basic, bare bones monitoring.  While going through the set-up process you are constantly being bombarded by screens to the plan options for monitoring.  In order to move forward I felt I had to choose a plan, so I selected the basic, just to realize I couldn't access my system remotely, etc. like most other systems in today's market.  Finally, they don't tell you the system doesn't work in conjunction with Apple products. I have a Mac, when I called I was informed they are aware of the issue and their technicians are working on the problem and hope to have a solution soon.  (So why don't they tell you this in advance, even if in the small print.)  I'll keep the system but if I knew then what I know now I would have made another choice.  There are many other Alarm companies that provide you with free hardware and installation with a contract, usually 2-3 years.  Weighing the quality of hardware, full monitoring services options, and no up-front charges I think it might be better to do a contract, even if the monthly rate is higher.

    This was fantastic, it was really good. The way it works with them, they don’t actually come out. You order the parts and install it yourself. The customer service was excellent and they walk me through everything. They customize my package for me and it was really good. The instructions were really easy to read and installed. The alarm system is working well. One of the sensors was not working and they replace it right away. We were cooking and the smoke detectors went off and they called to see if we were ok. Overall they have been fantastic and I love the application for me to control the alarm system form my phone and laptop.

    I have been using them almost a year. I would recommend them because it is a digital service, and not only is it just my alarm, but I can electronically enter my house, control my temperature, turn on the lights and turn them off. It is pretty convenient for someone who like automation. I saw a commercial on TV, and called and they came out to the house, and showed me every thing, and how much it would cost. It is pretty reasonable compared to other companies.

    I set up a date and time to meet with David the owner and go over the different types of cameras, which there are many out there.  I did all my research about the cameras sold at the Big Box Stores, HD, Lowe's, Costco, etc.  David came out to my home and we sat together for approximately 5 hours going over everything, the type of Cameras, Wires, Camera Monitor, DVR, Etc. lots of different things.
    I settled on the type of Cameras, DVR and HDMI wires.  We then went outside and looked where all the cameras would be placed and on how all of the wires would be run and where the DVR would be installed.  Like I said all in all David was here for 5 hours the first day.  Everything went smooth.  We set up a time for the installers to start the job and was told it would take two (2) installers two (2) full days to complete my job.
    The installers showed up the first day, a few minutes late, not bad at all, first day, got a little lost, ok, no biggie.  They introduced themselves to me, David also showed up to ensure all the equipment was here and to go over where all the equipment would be installed.  I liked that the owner came out to check on things.  I also walked with the installers and told them what I expected, we keep our property very clean and I did not want trash, cigarette butts, etc all over our yard.  All the installers said was yes sir, we will make sure everything is cleaned up each day, and they did.
    It took them the entire 2 full days, as a matter of fact the second day, they did not leave until 700PM.  We are very particular when it comes to work being done at  our home.  I am very particular with how companies respond to our calls and questions.  You can see that in my other reviews.   Pogo is a TOP NOTCH company.  I would highly recommend using this company if you are looking for a Camera System or any other type of Security System.  I have referred Pogo to a friend for their home alarm and cameras and they are very pleased.
    David will always answer your phone calls and text messages if you need anything, which is a huge plus.

    They were great on the phone and in person. They sent out a person who I felt was over educated for the job and I felt very comfortable because of that. They were really nice and walked me through everything. They were very patient. They communicate really well, even at all hours of the night. They have spent hours and hours with me. They are courteous, polite, and professional. They also gave me a good deal. The equipment was free. The cost is about $50/month and I have a contract with them for 5 years.

    When I first met my husband 9 years ago he had ADT Security in the house.  They kept calling him at 2 a.m. to tell him the battery backup needed to be changed.  After months of these calls in the middle of the night we found another company and changed.
    We switched to Brinks, which was sold to Broadview, which to our horror was sold to ADT.  Which brings us to tonight.
    My husband and I were out at a meeting this evening and I got a call from ADT that my alarm was going off.  I asked if it was the door in the laundry room because my female dog thinks it's funny to open that door.  They insisted that it was the front door and did we want to call the police.
    My husband got on the phone with them and asked again if it was the laundry room door, they insisted that it was the front door.
    We were about 15 minutes from the house.  I was histerical partly because I have a neurological disorder that includes severe panic disorder.  We rushed to the house.  All I could see was my female dog, who is a trained serve dog, running around the neighborhood not letting us catch her because she thinks it funny.  And my male hound dog, who is 74 pounds of stupid and would not react well if someone approached him suddenly.  In my area the police would have shot him and then sad "lady is this your dog."
    We got to the house and all doors were locked and secure.  Upon entering the house we found the laundry room door open.  My husband called ADT and told them all the problems they had caused and they did not care.
    When we had Brinks my dog used to open the door all the time and they even had it in the file that the family has a dogopens doors.
    ADT could not care less that they were giving false information.  They could not care less that they were dealing with a person with a disability and making it worse.  The could not care less. 
    When my husband and I calm down we will look up alarm companies on Angiies List and getting the h*** away from ADT for good.

    Keith Wollman arrived on time.  He worked so quietly, I completely forgot he was replacing the out-dated security system with a new one.  Keith explained every piece with great patience - important as I am not tech-savvy.  Keith understands our preference for simple systems and accommodated this wish.  We will definitely use him again when we are ready to install our other electronic gadgets.
