Generator Repair reviews in Wellington

I give this company a 5 star rating. Jen Weigel was my sales person who is very knowledgeable. She carries with her a binder containing county and city codes. She knows what she is talking about. I had 3 quotes done. The first was through Home Depot, that person told me that I didnt have enough room for the generator and a 500 gal. propane tank. The 2nd quote, the sales person thought I had room, but price was outrageous. $2500.00 more than 1StopGeneratorShop, with a smaller sized Kw. Jen knew that I had room and was the best price as well. I felt totally confident with her evaluation and I committed with 1StopGeneratorShop. This shop does everything for you. Permits, HOA request for approval forms, sub-contracting the excavation for the propane tank and propane hook-up. Once the generator was set, Hi-Tech Gas Contractor, Corp. bored under my 2 pad driveway to be able to get to the generator. DC Contractors did the excavation for the propane tank and dug trenches to the generator. My yard was a mess, but when there were done, my yard was perfectly clean, just waiting for sod to be replaced. That happened within the next 2 days! The entire staff at these 3 companies are professional and friendly. Thank-you Jennifer, Julianne, Veronica, Lacy, Nikki, Charmin, and Grace. 8/22 Wed. Generator was set by 1StopGereratorShop 9/8 Saturday -Tech Gas dug a trench approx. 8 ft long by 2 ft wide and 2 ft deep to be able to put in the hydraulic hole borer, which bored a hole under the driveway to insert the gas line pipes. 9/9 Sunday, hole was bored. 9/14 Friday DC Contractors dug hole for the 500 gal propane tank. 1st County Inspection happened, then DC Contractors backfilled everything and made my yard look like nothing happened, except needing sod. 9/15 Sat. Hi-Tech Gas came to do the final gas hook-up 9/16- Sunday- 1StopGenerator came to re-sod. 9/17 Monday- Final gas inspection 10/05 Friday Electrical was done by 1StopGenerator and by 10/17 the final electrical inspection was completed.

DO NOT HIRE POWER NOW SOLUTIONS to install your whole house generator. That is for anyone who just reads the first sentence. There are 3 theories I have considered which I feel exemplify how Jason and is company Power Now operate. Hes a crook: this option is hard to substantiate. Had Home Advisor (thank you Home Advisor!) not stepped in for arbitration, Im convinced this project would still not have been completed and Jason would be sitting on a substantial initial payment He doesnt care: this option is entirely possible and appears to be true based on his timetables and poor communication and overall apathetic dismissive way of doing business. That said, it doesnt matter if he cares as long as the job got done. Hes incompetent: This theory I feel holds the most weight and explains the litany of issues my father and I experienced in dealing with Jason. Below I will explain why I believe this is the case. It has been 9 months since an estimate was originally signed for Jason to install a whole house generator for my father and I, and its still not done! Entire houses are built in less time than it has taken Jason to not install this generator. Jason will blame everyone but himself for the delays but unfortunately, the common denominator is always him. First, the proper paperwork wasnt submitted for the permits to be acquired. It was a clerical issue that Jason blamed on his office. This went unnoticed by Jason and had to be brought to his attention. Next, his electrician left him for a bigger job. Next, it was all FPLs fault because they are so backed up. Then there was a death in his family. If you let a job take 9 months theres bound to be a death in the family at some point. After that, the contractor who was supposed to install the propane tank needed to be replaced as well. The frustrating part is that Jason never takes responsibility for any of these things. He has not implemented the necessary systems and fall backs to compensate for these very predictable issues. Everytime something came up it was like starting from scratch with Jason. No competent project manager would let any of these things delay their project to extent that this project has been delayed. Individually, each step in this project should take 3-5 full days, excluding permitting. The fact that it has taken over 270 days is inexcusable. And to add insult to injury, as others have commented, Jasons communication is terrible. He talks over you, tells you hell call you and then doesnt. In general he over promises and underdelivers. At the start of this process he made no indication that the whole house generator would even come close to taking this much time to complete. In conclusion, the reason for all of this is that Jason is incompetent when it comes to this kind of project. He may be able to fix a minor problem on a small generator but anything beyond that, which requires outside contractors and permitting, he is incapable of doing in a satisfactory manner. Please save yourself the time and frustration and choose a company other than Power Now for your whole house generator installation.

Do not expect any communication from this company. They do not seem to know what the word "communication" means and are excellent at NOT following through on their statements or getting things done smoothly or professionally. The salesman was VERY attentive until he got my deposit. Then he completely dropped off the face of the earth and was never reachable. I had a whole home generator installed by them, gave them a copy of my survey which they told me was not an acceptable copy and they had to get their own only to waste a few weeks time and get the EXACT SAME thing I gave them weeks earlier. Not similar, but identical. When I tried to find out the status of my "project" as time went on, no one seemed to know anything and all they did was pass the buck to the next person who knew less than the last person I spoke to. That is, if you finally heard from them because they do not believe in returning calls or emails. On multiple occasions, this company's idea of scheduling was to call you on their way to your house, expecting you to be home, but at no prior time had that date or even that week been discussed for them to come out. It was as if they felt you should be sitting at home waiting for them for a 6-8 week period! We are not talking about a situation where we discussed them coming out on a specific day and then they call to confirm they are coming out in a 4 hour block, we are talking about multiple instances of no discussion at all of a date or even approximate date to come out and then all of a sudden a call comes in "we will be to your house within 30 minutes". Completely out of the blue. These issues of scheduling and communication were brought to the attention of the administrative and labor staff on many occasions to no avail. Attempts to speak with the company owner fell on "I'll give him the message and have him call you back" which as is typical for this company's lack of communication skills, resulted in me never speaking with the owner. To this date, I have not heard from him. Once installation started, a 2 day job took 5 days if you do not count the additional 6th day I had to stay home and miss work for an inspection they cancelled without notifying me or the two other time they had to come out to repair things that were admittedly their fault. Total 8 days! The inspection I am referring to was my final inspection and was reconfirmed 3 days before the inspection date with the manager at APS and then cancelled without anyone notifying me. The manger's reply when I questioned what happened and why I wasn't notified was "my apologies, someone should have called you." I came to find out it was cancelled by this same man BEFORE he confirmed with me that it was scheduled. He fully knew it was cancelled when he confirmed with me, just "forgot". The workmen were always very polite, although not very neat and did cut some obvious corners such as accidentally busting a water pipe and trying to repair it with DUCT TAPE. Yes I did say repair a broken water pipe with duct tape. I do have pictures of it for anyone who does not believe it. I also have the dates of all attempted correspondences and the names and dates of those I actually corresponded with if you want. The company can't even get their billing right. First they do not want my check, then they say, they will send an invoice which never gets sent, then when they finally do send it, they complain to me for it being delinquent. A dated bank check! I couldn't change the date if I wanted to. If you are home all the time and can be at this company's beck and call for weeks on end to be left in the dark as to where your "project" is in the process, and if you don't mind messes and cutting corners, then this company is the one for you. If not, look elsewhere. I can only hope the other dealers of Generac are better than Assurance Power Systems. Choose another company. If I wanted to, I couldn't make this stuff up. It was truly an unreal experience. Just say NO!

It did NOT go at all. After more than 10 years of initial purchase/installation and continuous service contracts, the Company has repeatedly promised to prepare a written proposal for the parts and service. The whole house 35KW generator has not worked at all since July of this past year. I have not had return phone calls ("I promise you will hear back from us by 4:00"). I have NEVER received a proposal ("I am working on the proposal right now and will e-mail it to you by 4:00") despite several assurances. Unconscionable conduct. Tens of thousands of dollars cumulatively and during the first prolonged power loss since installation I sat in the dark.

I called them more than 2 months ago for them to come and give a quote for installing a generator. They came about a week later and the electrician said he would go back to the office, do some research on how to do it, and give me a quote. Few weeks passed, a lady from FPL called saying they didn't have a quote yet. About 2 weeks later she called again, saying they still didn't have a quote yet. Said the electrician was very busy. She called again the third time and just apologizing for no quote yet. Now after 2 months later and I don't hear anything from them, I conclude they don't have a quote and they ARE NOT working on my quote. I expected professionalism from FPL, but I guess I am wrong.

The technician (John) arrived within 20 minutes of his scheduled arrival time. He had all of the parts and tools necessary to do the job because his dispatcher (Chad) had already gathered that information from his discussions with me when I called to schedule the appointment. The technician called me to explain what the price for the work would be before he began his work. He was thorough, fast, extremely polite, and at the end of his work he called me to explain what had been done and what my price would be for the exterior power supply to my generator which I will do on my next service call with Excel Electric. I have been a general contractor for over 30 years so I know excellence when I experience it. You simply can not get a more professional electrical service than Excel Electric. I will always call them first when ever I have work to be done. Their owner (George) has assembled a powerful team of excellent people that can not be beat by any other trade.

We had a big electrical storm a few nights ago and my generator came on but did not supply electricity y to the house. I thought this was something minor so I called a few generator service companies. Most of the companies wanted to charge me a service call of $200.00 plus wanted to sell me a maintenance contract that the total added up to close to $600.00. And on top of that , they could not come out for at least a week! Energized Electric was the only one that was willing to listen to my diagnosis and we agreed on a tune up for $169.00. They came the next day and their service man, Pedro Medina was absolutely wonderful, through and honest. He opened up the generator and right away saw that the fuse had tripped and he said that probably was the reason it did not come on but he would service the generator and make sure that was the actual reason. He preceded to do the tune up, washed and waxed my generator and then tested the fuse and saw that everything was ok .He then gave my generator a clean bill of health and even showed me how to restart the fuse in case it ever trips again. What a pleasure it was to do business with him and his company! No up sell l or gimmicks, just honesty and integrity. I am going to tell the world about this company!
