General Contracting reviews in Wellington

John always keeps his word, which is probably the one of the most important things that you can ask for in a contractor. He is punctual, and his crews are self directed and professional. Let me break that down further for you; they are craftsman who do only the very best work. Tile work where miter edges are so precisely cut, you can barely see a seem. Precision placement and cuts, perfection in drywall and perfect joints on every single piece of trim. Mason work on counter tops that is exceptional. Flawless attention to details, and I am exceptionally picky about details. but the crew... the heroes. You can trust them. They don't take your stuff, borrow your tools or disrespect your home. Every day they come on time, and every day they clean up after themselves. They take all the debris away daily and sweep up as they are leaving. They are careful, considerate and polite. John said "you'll see, you going to leave the house and feel comfortable leaving them there alone in no time", and he was right. Reviews are often faked, but this isn't one of those and I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is. I am an attorney in the State of Florida, and I have an ethical obligation to be truthful in what I say. It's something very important to me, so if you want to know if I'm being honest, look me up. Bar number 119926, call me and I will tell you how it is. I can't say your experience will be what mine was (and will be in the future) with John, but if history is a predictor of how your project will turn out, I suggest you call him today, right now, don't wait and don't bother calling around unless you're interested in wasting time.

Very well! He came in assessed the job. Provided a time frame of how long it would take. Worked efficiently the entire time keeping conscious of the time. I would highly recommend them. Very honest, nice guy and taught me a few things as well!

I've used Barry for all of my renovation projects. I'll continue to do so. The toughest part of any rehab project, without a doubt, is finding not only a skilled contractor, but one that is professional, on time, and on schedule. Very seldom can you find all of these qualities in one contractor....if at all. So, that's why Barry's my first call when I have a project. Barry shows when he says he is going to show, his work is top-notch, and best of all, I know my budget wont get killed with overages. -glad I have him.

It went very well. I contacted them on 11/10 and asked that someone come out to give me an estimate to fix the problem causing my fascia boards to rot. Kristian came out that day, and he gave me an estimate of $1300 for the roof repair. He followed up with a contract the following day. I signed the contract and emailed it to Sherry the following Monday. Sherry scheduled the work for Thursday of that week between 9-9:30. Brian and Adolpho, the techs, were on time, and Brian greeted me with a handshake. They were working above my office so I heard a lot of stuff going on. What I didnt hear was a bunch of idle chitter chatter. Their noses were to the grindstone!!! They worked very hard. Brian showed me where the problem was, and he took pictures as he progressed with the repair. They painted the fascia board section that was repaired. They cleaned the area up very well, also. If you need a roof repair, ask for Brian and Adolpho. They were superb.

Anthony helped us install the audio wiring over the ceiling, add a new line of HDMI wiring, changed lights in the garage, replaced sombre breakers from the panel, fixed our dishwasher's door, installed the brackets for our awning in the pool deck, also installed a 5 piece art on the wall, fixed our vent in the master bathroom and also the jets in the bathtub.

Roy is an excellent salesman with fantastic communication and follow-up skills. He?s a large part of why we chose CAPPS Roofing.  We also chose them because the use foam and screws. We received 4 quotes for this job, CAPPS came in the second highest. We liked that the bid included everything and there would be no surprises with extra plywood or what not.
I can?t really say if they did a good job or not. I don?t know anything about roofing so it?s hard to really say. It's in the review but there was rarely anyone there who spoke English so I never really knew what they were doing on any given day. The roof does look good.
I had a number of frustrations with this job:
I was concerned about damage that could be accidentally caused during the job specifically to our AC and pool heater but also other things such as our trampoline, travertine tile on pool deck, etc. Roy assured me that they would put plywood everywhere before they started. This was not the case. The crew came and started ripping out tile. My husband asked about the plywood and the guy said (I kid you not) ?We?ll be careful.? About 10 minutes later, a large piece of concrete tile fell on our AC. They finally covered most things but we had to make it happen and we laid down our own tarp to cover a large part of the pool deck.
On most days, there was nobody on the job who spoke English which was frustrating as I could not ask any questions about what was going on. I never met Blake Capps, the owner. He only called when he wanted to collect money. He never once showed up at the job site and never asked us how the job was going. In fact, I wasn?t even entirely sure if they were done when they were done. Nobody rang the door bell and said "We're all done!".
CAPPS is somehow able to do their own inspections via affidavit and pictures. According to CAPPS, all the roofers do this. I?m not sure how this is legal as it makes no sense and seems like a gross conflict of interest to me.
At the onset of this job, I received a mailing from the Palm Beach County Building Division regarding Florida?s Construction Lien Law. The notification detailed how homeowners can be liable for unpaid subcontractor and suppliers and gave specific things you can request in order to protect yourself. I contacted Blake and told him I?d like to receive the documents outlined in the notification which were a list of suppliers and subcontractors, release of liens from those suppliers and subcontractors, and an affidavit of unpaid contractors. The letter specifically said ?before you make any payment?.?.  A week or so later, he sent Steve to collect a partial payment but I still had not received any of the documentation. Another week or so later, the job was finished and I received an invoice from their secretary but again, no documentation. Finally, I received a large part of the documents minus the list of all suppliers and contractors. Without the list, I cannot verify if I?ve received Release of Liens from all as I have no way of knowing who all the suppliers and subcontractors on the job are. I called Blake who kept me on the phone for 20 minutes and essentially made me feel guilty stating that nobody ever asks for these things, it?s just a formality that they send the letter out, and that I was getting nitty gritty, etc. He complained that it would take another 2-3 days to send it via registered or certified mail. I guess I was to blame because other people don?t do their due diligence when spending $22,000+. I deeply resented this entire conversation, as I had been very forthright all along in requesting these things for weeks. I felt like I was being brushed off every time I requested them. Later that day, my husband spoke to Roy who mentioned another subcontractor that laid the tile down which we were not aware of, that Blake had not mentioned and that we had no Release of Lien from. The whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth and as a result, I would not do business with this company again nor would I recommend them.

Initially different roofing folks visited and gave me price quotes which was too expensive. Realized it was mere wood work and called Carl. Sent the picture details and he was immediate to respond. I was convinced and did not think further and gave a date and time to take up the job. The work was done today. He was very courteous and answered all my questions. The job was done in 4 hours. Plus he painted and caulked on all the newly worked area. I would highly recommend him.

Excellent. Mike was A-1 from beginning. Spoke with us, showed samples, gave helpful suggestions. Stuck with quote; gave credits. Very flexible (at first we wanted to paint flashing ourselves. He dropped materials off for us to paint, then we realized it was too big a job for us so we went with them. He brought painter to site though it would have been done at their site beforehand. Even gave us a credit on the painting since the paint we bought included the primer.)
Everything went like clockwork--his workers were so exceptional we gave personal tips to the half a dozen men who did the work.
Mike was great in every way; easy to contact, wonderful person.
A neighbor, who used to be in roofing, was amazed at the attention to detail taken by the workers and said he would use them himself when the time comes.

I called Capp's on a Monday and the rep came out on Wednesday then on Saturday I received a call asking if they could come out and repair my roof. The team that came out were very courteous.
They used a tarp on my driveway in order to park their truck and not damage my pavers.

I was so grateful that they were able to come out so quickly because I was leaving on a trip and felt like a ton of bricks were lifted from my shoulders and could go on my trip relaxed that my roof was fixed.

I highly recommend Capps Roofing for any roof needs.

    Thank you Capps Roofing.
