    I do not like AT&T. They lock you into a contract and we can't get decent service inside our house so we have to go outside. They promised to install a cell tower in Wellington two years ago and they still have not done it. They don't care. We keep calling and asking for a boosted cell phone signal and they just don't care.

    I have been having so many problems with my cell phone, and I would like to a different company. When I went to this store, I have good memories and bad memories. They don't keep the same people for a long time, so I would go there and have someone who is knowledgeable, and then I go again, and there is someone there who makes you get embarrassed because you have no knowledge about these things. I hate these long term service agreements, but I am locked into this 2 year contract. I have used them for a year and half. I will probably be up with my service agreement in the next half year and move to another company. It is expensive.Sometimes the wait at the store can be long.

    What I love about AT and T is their responsiveness. I have never had a problem with the signal. I like having a landline. They've been trying to upgrade me to the U-Verse and I just don't want it. For AT and T to make this type of blunder is incredible because AT and T doesn't usually make bad decisions in this way. I don't like my phone line to go down because the internet server is down. It's just amazing, I was just about to take an incredible offer; they will give you a TV and a DVR if you sign on for internet and phone and everything. They never take it back. But, right about the time I was about to do it the servers were down for days. I checked the price, it was incredible. When I saw that the phones were down for three days and they couldn't call 911 or anything. What if the cell phone battery is dead? My Mom is 87, we both agreed to have landlines, we both agreed to not go in this direction. I can't take advantage of this deal because I can't not have a landline phone because I can't not be able to call 911. When I talked to AT and T about it they offered to give me a battery backup for the phone. The battery backup doesn't help with the server being down. The minute you call them they're here. The service is incredible. I love AT and T because of their customer service. I have had trouble with connectivity because of towers going down. Sometimes I can't get on the internet on my cell phone. I have never had any problems with the home phone, just the cell phone.

    We bought the home unit at WallMart and set it up. We had our phone number "ported" from AT&T and started using the phone. The voice quality was marginal to poor. Within a week or so, the unit quit working. Borrowed a cell phone to call support. After lengthy phone calls the finally decided it was not our fault, the told us to return the unit for repair, they would email a FedEx label for the return and repair. I asked if they would sent a working unit and we would return the bad one so we would not be without phone service. They refused to do so, intimating we might not send the bad one to them.
    Several days later we finally had phone service again. The voice quality was still as bad as ever. Dropped calls were commonplace. We were unsatisfied with the service and decided to get of the service and use a wired service. They advertised there were no contracts and we could drop at any time. When we tried to change to another service provider, They refused to provide an invoice for the service we had so the new provider could port our original number to that new server. We were informed "they didn't send invoices."  Now we are in a situation where our old phone number has been hijacked.
    This is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. The people on the phone were intractable and unwilling to go to the smallest effort to help. Avoid Straight Talk.Grandparents

    I usually call them when I needed to. They are good professionally. However, I plan to change the service provider when my contract ends.
