    Red Fine Hardwood Floors
AWESOME JOB! From the first day Ramon measured for the estimate, to the last day of the job, he and his crew (which are family) were very professional, polite, and courteous. A previous company damaged the floor, RED Fine Hardwood Floors took extra time in the repair making it totally disappear. The finished floor looks beautiful and feels so smooth. This company goes the extra mile to give the customer the best possible job. I will highly recommend RFHF.

    JZ Star Flooring Services
They were so nice. We explained that we were going a different way and they understood. They were excellent. It was a fair price. It was a good price. They came right away. He came out several times at beck because we had another question. He said to let him come out and he gave us some samples of different colors. He was very nice. They said they would be there and they were. They were very professional. Our overall experience was great.

    Red Fine Hardwood Floors

After reading all the rave reviews here on Angie's List, I called Red Fine Hardwood to get a quote.  Ray came out the day after, took measurements, and provided us with a  very fair quote a few days later (although he did warn us that the next available slot was the following month).  We agreed to it, and then had to wait a month.  Ray, Armando, and Carlos showed up on time and immediately got to work. We really like that they do NOT subcontract the work -- its a family owned & operated business.  They were professional and friendly, and honest.

We have 2 different hardwood floors: one is red oak, one is white oak.  We wanted to match them as much as possible.  They originally quoted us a water based stain, but after thoroughly checking the floors, they determined that an oil based stain would accomplish what we wanted BETTER than the water based.  As a result, the price went down substantially (to our delight).  The oil stain DID smell more, and our family had to adjust.  But Ray & his team always stayed on schedule, and in the end, it was completely worth every disruption in our day to day routine!!! In fact, when they finished the red oak floors, we were SO impressed, that at that point we decided to have them [lightly] sand & stain the white oak floors on the other side of the house.

All in all, from start to finish was about 1 1/2 weeks, including drying times & furniture moving. We LOVE our floors...they look brand new!!! Everyone that has seen them cannot believe the difference, and we've already recommended them to one of our family members.  THANK YOU Red Fine Hardwood Floors!!!

    Pride Flooring
The excellent reviews sent us to Pride flooring and we were not disappointed. Met with Joe who was courteous and knowledgeable in explaining the differences between the products. The installation crew showed up on time, worked hard to make sure the finished floor looked good and meet with our approval.

Cal & Son Carpet & Wood Floors
We hired Cal & Son to remove a section of termite damaged where it meets the tile floor.  Hugo arrived at the scheduled time with the right tools for the job.  He cut out the damaged wood flooring and prepared the subfloor  by removing the old nails and used a chisel to clean the grout edge of the tile.  He measured and cut the store-bought trim piece and made trial and error adjustments on the subfloor until the trim piece was flush with the adjacent tile floor and the original wood floor surface.  He then caulked the junction of the tile and decorative trim piece to complete the project.  He is a skilled craftsman with a professional demeanor.  He was pleasant and worked efficiently.
Hugo also brought several different colors of quarter round to install in the kitchen.  He helped us make the best choice and then did an excellent job cutting and installing the quarter round trim pieces.  He also advised us on the best method for rejuvenating our original wood kitchen floor.  His knowledge of flooring was very impressive.
We are happy with the end result and would like to hire Cal & Son to redo our kitchen floor .

    Pride Flooring
Joe came out and I explained my flooring needs.  He was extremely polite and very knowledgeable.  He recommended vinyl planking, as I have 3 small dogs who do not necessarily make it to the wee wee pad.   After researching the product and getting quotes from others, I decided to go with Pride Flooring.  The "crew" came on time and was very professional.  They all knew the trade well.  They were kind enough to put the felt pads I had bought on each and every piece of furniture, as to not scratch the new flooring and to make the furniture much easier to manipulate.  As the job was being completed, they often asked me "are you happy with the way it looks" and I responded yes.  It is beautiful.  A set of closet doors  was being difficult to close.  They would not leave my house without me being satisfied to remedy the problem with the doors. The crew cleaned up after themselves each day.  I would highly recommend Pride Flooring to all my friends.  The job they did is outstanding!  It was nice to find out that the company has been owned by the same family for years and many family members work for the company.  You don't find that too much theses days.

    Face of Wood Flooring
In preparation to rent a house we needed to replace worn carpet in two bedrooms.  I arranged everything online (we live in another city).  Arrangements were easy and they had us scheduled for the following week.  My husband went down to Miami for a couple days while they did the job.  They worked fast and neatly.  Floors look great, would hire again!

    Martinez Wood Floors Inc
Last November we hired Martinez-Wood Floors,Inc. for the job of removing , disposing and installing bamboo floors on 970 sq ft for $2,520.00. During the installation they requested $400 extra for having to move some furniture. We paid. Following that, they requested an additional $1,200 to replace parts of the sub-floor which we paid. Two weeks AFTER completion the floor buckled up throughout the house, and in the some areas it lifted away from the floor to the point that it was dangerous to walk on it. We made numerous attempt to contact them, by mail , phone calls and emails with no luck. I was informed that the reason the wood is warped it is because there is no moisture barrier, and the wood didn't have enough spacing from the wall. My parents spent $4,120 for 970 sq ft of labor to replace the wood floor. USING Martinez Wood Floors, Inc. was a big mistake. We lost the cost of the wood and the floors have to be done again. I am posting this to warn Angie's List subscribers, this company is not professional

    Red Fine Hardwood Floors
I'm a university professor and am very busy with research and teaching, so I was looking for trustworthy floor specialists who would carry out the work as planned and could be entrusted to work in my home while I was at the university.  When I met them for my initial assessment, I was immediately impressed and put at ease.  These men are extremely professional, prompt, honest, hard-working, communicative, and meticulous.  They spent several days in my house doing the work, and I got to chat with them quite a bit and watch them work.  They look at every detail of your floor and make sure that it is as perfect as it possibly can be.  I was repeatedly surprised at the level of detail, finding every tiny crevasse or tiny scratch and working on it until it disappeared.  They asked me my opinion when there were important decisions to make (for example, whether to install a gradual rise on a doorway, or what kind of baseboards to use), and treated the floor as if it were their own.  Ramon actually called me several times during the process to ask me how I was feeling about the work, and to accommodate any concerns or special requests.  They always arrived on time and worked very h****** this big job.  The final product is truly spectacular, and far exceeds my initial expectations.  If you are looking for a reasonably priced, highly professional, prompt, and accommodating hardwood floor refurnishing or floor installation team, look no further!!  These guys are amazing.  I give them my highest recommendation.  You will not be disappointed!

    Daniel Flooring, Inc
Communicating with the office was a bit difficult. (when were things going to happen?, how much do I actually pay?, when will you show up?) Hence e.g. they showed up one morning at a certain time and we did not know. But aside from the communication part, I have no problems recommending them, since once they started they actually were punctual and fast and professional. I have had some nice compliments in regards to their work. The price was good as well. I will use them again if needed.
