It didn't go. I don't think this company knows what customer service is all about. I contacted them after seeing a person installing a screened in patio in the neighborhood. . After several days the office called and said a salesman would be in touch, again several days later a salesman called and said he would be out within a day or two. One week later the doorbell rings and the sales person shows up unannounced, no phone contact at all. I told him that I hired someone else since I had no contact at all from him or his company saying there would be a delay. That if there was a problem a phone call takes only one minute. He was rude muttering under his breath. Do not hire!

The work was excellent and Andrew was very courteous. He did a great clean up after the job and is very responsive through the whole process. Arrived on time and the work was done promptly and professionally. I would hire him again in the future and recommend him to others.

We received the Proposal / Quote in a very timely manner and we returned the signed document via email on February 24, 2016. I was then contacted by Chris at Kruger around March 25, 2016 and he said we had not yet made the deposit and that he had the engineering plans all ready and we needed to pay the 1st installment.

I drove to their offices on April 1, 2016 and paid the $2,700. in cash and they provided me with a copy of the Quote and wrote Deposit Paid and returned it. They said it would be about 2 months but they would try to get the pavers and foundation work done as soon as possible.

I contacted them around the 1st of May as I had heard nothing from them and I needed to know what was going down. They apologized and said they would try to get the job going and we were 11 on the list. Roughly 10 days later a crew showed up, dug a trench, did some rebar work and said they would be back as soon as it was inspected. It was inspected the next morning and we waited another week before calling and they finally did the pour and laid the additional pavers.

I was told that we were still on the list and that the job would be done as soon as possible.

Today my wife asked me to call them and see what was happening as we knew it was about time and I was told that they were behind schedule and it would be several more weeks before the job would be done but that they would try to squeeze us in some time as our job is fairly small for them. The woman was very polite but firm that they were doing the best they can. I told her that I was really unhappy and my wife was going to be even worse and that I would be contacting the BBB and get help where I could. She said that was fine.

Shortly after my telephone call a person showed up at our house from Kruger and I was gone. He talked to my wife and said everything looked good for the enclosure but that the grass is higher than the Pavers (which they installed) so the door out onto the yard would be a problem. I arrived at the house and his truck was parked in front of the house. Before I could get our of the car he had sped off. We have heard nothing further.

    So the net is;

    2/24/16 - Deal signed
    4/1/16 - Down Payment made
5/1/16 - Foundation and Pavers installed (approximate date, may have been one week later)
6/20/16 - Nothing else has been accomplished and I was told it will be "Several More Weeks" and that the pavers they placed are too low for the door!

Four days short of 4 months is really unprofessional. They are terrible at communicating. The only time they contacted me was when they realized their payment was missing. Other than that I have initiated EVERY SINGLE CONVERSATION.

At this point I could NEVER recommend this company to anyone and they haven't even done the job!

    • It went well but as I was writing out the check I noticed a hunk of cement in the driveway that had fallen out of the corner tile. I pointed it out and asked what it was and they said "oh, that fell off the roof. We were gonna glue it back up.....  So I held on to the check until they fixed it.  After they left I saw that another piece had fallen off the other end and of course, they were gone and didn't glue it back! Sad ending to what would have been a great job.

Terrible.  Signed the contract on April of 2014. Started putting up the screen encloser in July.  Very shoddy work. The first

inspection by Indian River County failed miserably. Called over 16 times to Florida Screen Builders and received double talk and lots pf promises but to no avail.  Every time I call they came up with some excuse.

In September, because I paid them with my Visa Card I notified Visa and my bank. Showing the two failed inspection. Visa nnd my bank debited Florida Screen Builders account in the amount of $5500.00. I notified Florida Screen Builders with a copy of the letter to the bank and Visa. It took FSB until October to realize the money was debited by Visa.

At that time they sent two crews to fix the problems. After Inspection by Indian River County it failed again. FSB wanted  partial payment  up front until the problem was solved. I told them 'not a chance'  They intern had another crew come out again to fix all the problems.  Five crews altogether to put up one screen encloser.

This time Indian River County passed the encloser and I notified the bank to release the money to FSB.

Anyone who uses this company for any project will rule the day.  They are the worst company I have ever dealt with.

It was a nightmare. He does not show up when scheduled. He does not answer the phone. He is dishonest lies and takes advantage of widows, at least in the case of me and my neighbor. If anyone would like to join the lawsuit contact me.

    On April10, 2014 I entered into a contract

with Florida Screen Builders 3269 SW Ave

    Palm City, Florida.

To bind the contract I gave them my credit card in the amount of $1350.00. This contract was for a swimming pool encloser, all screened in with two doors.

They started work on the pool encloser on 06/26/2014. Per the contract, I sent them another payment by credit card of $1350.00

The total price of the pool encloser was $5400.00. The next payment was to be paid when their employees started to put up the pool encloser, which was paid on 7/17/2014. By the way, their starting and ending hours was 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

They finally finished putting up the pool encloser on 7/21/2014 and I made the final payment that day.  As I looked

around my pool deck I noticed the following:

    Bolts in the pool

Metal shavings all over the deck

    Metal plates not correctly installed

Holes where the beams meet the side of the house, leaving gaping holes.

One of the doors was put on backwards

A one inch tear, in one of the bottom screens

    Beams not connected properly

I notified Rich who schedules the employees from Florida Screen Builders about the problem and he sent another crew who took pictures of all the problems and admitted it was a very bad job. He wanted the original crew to come back and fix the problem. After all the mistakes and sloppy work they did, I refused to have them back and he agreed to send another crew.

I have called Rich every week and all he gives me is the run a around about fixing my pool encloser.  It has been 7 weeks since Florida Screen Builders finished the project all wrong and they will not commit to giving me a date when they will be out to fix their egregious errors.

At this point, I believe I spent $5400.00

using my VISA Card on a project that is in shabby condition and the Indian River County Building Florida  will denied approval

of the construction of the Screen Pool Encloser.

I'm asking USSA bank and VISA to take whatever action that they deem proper to settle this matter.

They were fast, knew exactly what they were doing. Chad answered all our questions without hesitation. It took a couple calls to get them here because they were busy, but once here they were great.

We received four estimates for the job.  Kruger was the lowest, two others were close, and one proposed a rather different job costing over twice as much.  Chris did the estimate and carefully explained what would and would not be done.  He obtained the county permit as well as HOA approval.  The installer (Erick) worked alone to my surprise but completed most of the job in a day; a return visit was necessary for the screen door threshold.  The work was quickly and neatly done and we are very satisfied with the quality.
