THREE VETS AND A WONDERFUL STAFF WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR ! We transferred from another vet who we used for over 15 years essentially a one man show who charged and overcharged us for everything. Finally I had enough and dumped him. Change can and has proven to be a wonderful thing ! I do have my favorite vet among them, but our pets have been seen by all of them. They are a certified veterinary facility. The place is clean and all of the staff are attentive. You rarely have to wait more than a few minutes. I don't know how many techs and other staff they have. but we are constantly moving, being attended to and are in and out of there quickly. At times if there is a human medication or treatment that you can use on or give your pet for a condition, they will let you know and even let you know the right dosage for your pet. They have an excellent groomer and the price is reasonable. They also have boarding service. Unfortunately that is a service I probably will never use because I would be a nervous wreck leaving my babies, but I hear great things about it. They do offer a discount and they always remember to charge us the senior rabies renewal tag rate without me asking. I LOVE MY TEAM !

Doctor determined cause was a massive flea infestation (though our other dogs did not have flea problem). Was given a course of treatment. Then the hard upsale began! Was told it was essential to dog's health to have this special dog food, supplements, and hygienic products. Highly recommended professional products were only another $300 on top of the $75 exam and treatment fee. Felt the doctor and tech spent more time trying to sell the additional items than actually examining my dog and starting the treatment. Felt like I was dealing with a pair of used car salesman. Never going back.

Vet and tech were very gentle with my Doberman / German shepard mix. They gave her a shot (antihistamine) and did some basic blood tests. Tests came back negative, cost so far was under $100. But then the hard up sell on "required" medications and preventative products. Total bill soared to over $350. Reluctantly, I purchased the products. However, after doing some online research, I found multiple home remedies that were environmentally friendly and for under $30. That includes the cost of products to rid the house of fleas.

I switched to this practice from my former Veterinarian of 20 years whose practices and greed seemed to be more important than the care of my 4 pets. I LOVE THIS PRACTICE! I transferred the care of my four pets to the care of the Valrico Animal Clinic over a year ago. Although I think the charges are? higher than those I previously paid, there is no doubt that they are well trained and it is easier to get an appointment even for an emergency, as they have 3 Veterinarians on Staff. They also offer half-day Saturday hours, boarding and grooming. They always keep me informed and check-up on my pets.? They also, if appropriate, will suggest other options for pricey pet meds., natural and in some cases they will dose a human medication alternative for your pet, you can substitute. If I think I can get a pet med prescription filled at a lower price at a local pharmacy that fills pet meds or at an online CERTIFIED VET VIPP PHARMACY ( MAKE SURE IT IS A CERTIFIED VET VIPP ONLINE PHARMACY). They will write me a prescription at no charge.

I was beside myself with concern for her and as I would for myself or any other member of my family. I researched and sought out an expert to review the original and repeat X Rays, her medical records and perform a re-examination. There was no way, I was going to let any surgery be performed without understanding the cause and validating the necessity.  To be honest, I did not believe what I had been told by my Primary Veterinarian of twenty years. All I knew was that if there was an expert in the region, I was going to find one. I had never heard of a Veterinary Surgical Specialist before this process. They have additional training and surgical skills additionally important to me when dealing with a breed so small.
I do not travel outside my local area in part because my dog is such a poor car rider and I also get lost very easily despite the fact that I have lived outside of Tampa, Florida for over twenty years. Thank goodness for GPS because I was definitely out of my comfort zone that day but would have traveled to the ends of the Earth for his help. My husband thought I was crazy to even consider surgery that would cost several thousand dollars and money for rehabilitation on what he considers to be just a dog. I have always purchased pet insurance on my fur family members over the years and what he doesn't seem to realize is that after 43 years of marriage, I am far more likely to spend the money on her, than him.
I read about Dr. Day, his training, the facility and the aftercare and monitoring they would provide if surgery was needed. The staff was wonderful, he reviewed her Medical Records, films and examined her. He and the staff listened to me and observed her walking. I was confident and reassured when we left. It turns out that surgery is not indicated. She and I stopped and had Chick Fil A on our way home. Yes, she is very spoiled.

Surgical center clean, comfortable and attractive.  On initial consultation visit, reception and clinical staff were very friendly, kind and caring.  Our surgeon, Dr. Hay, reviewed and explained the x-rays which we had brought from our primary vet.  He too was very open, kind and professional in his demeanor. There are several different surgical procedures which can be used to repair this injury (what humans would call a "torn ACL") and Dr. Hay clearly explained his rationale for recommending  the specific procedure to be used.  The verbal, written, and web site pre-op and post-op instructions and information were excellent.  The wait times for the consultation, day of surgery and 2 subsequent post-op check-ups were all less than 10 minutes.  On the couple of occasions when I called with questions, I received an immediate response from a vet tech. or call-back within 5 minutes.  Everyone encountered in this practice was very knowledgeable, thorough, pleasant, kind, and professional.  My dog had an uneventful recovery and excellent results.  I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Hay, his colleagues and staff to anyone whose dog or cat may be in need of surgery.

I started using this veterinarian in 2000 and I believe it gets better every year. I've never used the boarding or grooming but I know when it comes to the veterinarian service prices it's about the only thing in my life that has gotten cheaper. I can buy my dogs medicine there for the same price I can buy online. I did read some of the other reviews and I will admit that I once missed a few months of my dogs heart worm prevention and I was required to retest. The told me it was only to ensure that the company would guarantee the product and since I couldn't deny that I had messed up I didn't blame them. At least they didn't make me retest it 2 months later. The staff is always so nice and dr Duvall is always willing to answer all my questions. Even when they get a bit long winded. We will never go anywhere else and I recommend this place to all my friends.

He knew that the dog's paw was hurting and he knew that there was something there so he kept looking. He must have been there for 15 to 20 minutes looking for it and he found it. I don't have a problem with the price because the quality of work is pretty good. Sometimes my wife goes there to pick up some medicine and they wait for her to get there even if they could be home and closed at 5:00 but they stayed there several times till 5:30 until my wife got there. He's good, he really seems to know what he's doing, talks to you like you're a neighbor and he's not rushing you through and he's gonna stay there until he's done.

I think they are excellent. Dr. Duval is very good at what she does. She listens and works with you to find the best solution and the dogs really like her. I went to a specialist that wanted to cut the dog open to do liver surgery and she came up with a way to not have to do that. The normal price for an exam, heartworm check, fecal check and complete shot package is $160.00. This includes the office visit so the price is really good. They have a teeth cleaning special from time to time for $149.00. They are very honest and they want to do what is best for your dog and they do not do unnecessary treatment. She gave the medicine a chance to work for a few months and it has. They have a really good groomer in the office as well named Shannon and she always does a great job. If you use her you do have to be at the office by 8 AM.

I could not be more impressed with this veterinary office. Their staff was kind, sweet, friendly, and welcoming. They treated our cats like royalty! They were held, petted, and loved by many staff members. The veterinary technicians and the veterinarian were very kind, welcoming, caring, and professional. They answered all of our questions and honestly addressed all our concerns about vaccinations, flea treatments, de-worming, and other health issues. I felt that they did exactly what they felt was right for our cats based on what we told them. They did not push extra services; they did not try to sell us anything--they even gave us a "kitten starter kit" for flea treatments! I absolutely trust this office to do what is right for our cats, to give us honest advice based on years of experience, and to listen to and address our concerns. We have found the best vet for our pets!
