  • Dr. Richards-Rowley did an amazing job calming down my son when he was afraid he'd need a shot. She has a great way with of dealing with children and putting their minds at ease. She also is willing to spend plenty of time with her patients and their parents answering questions and giving us a lot of information. I highly recommend her.

  • We have been going there since 2011. The Doctors are really nice, very responsive. Good, clean practice. You feel good when you are in there. I have experienced all the doctors they are all good at what they do. The staff are very good, they don't have paranoid mom questions. they try and fix you in the schedule a soon as they can. the office is very clean. They have the videos playing for the kids, they have their infant room, sick room, valve room, its very well laid out. A couple of times getting in was longer than usual. The staff are very friendly.

  • We called when they opened and got an appointment right away. My child was sick and needed to be seen. This is one thing I love about the office is when your child is sick they get you in right away so you can get your child well sooner and get back to your already hectic life. Very friendly staff. Everyone is very nice. The doctors spend time with you and go through the notes and have a lot of patience with parents that ask lots of questions like myself. With children in school they catch stuff often so having a doctor you can be seen at quickly and doesn't make you dread seeing them because they treat you right and get you children we'll is very necessary for a busy young family.

  • Dr. Richards has been our pediatrician for about 4 years. Although she is in a one Dr practice, we can almost always be seen when we need to get in. She has a relaxed straightforward bedside manner and speaks to you as one parent to another. She is very knowledgeable and has a very nice staff.

  • I would definetly NOT recommend USF Pediatrics.  I had several negative experiences with the Pediatrics Department.  I would see a different doctor each visit.  Most of them were residents, and I had original thought that maybe younger doctors would be open to staggered vaccinations.  I am not a mother who does not believe in vaccinating her child, but I did not want him to get them all at once.  Every time I took my son in for a visit, they would forcefully ask about the vaccinations, and one time a resident had to "ask" his supervising doctor if it was OK that I did not want to have all of the vaccinations at one time.  Another time, one of the doctors ridiculed me for bringing my four month old in for a 102 degree fever.  She asked me how old I was because I guess she thought I was a teen mother (even though I was in my 30s).  And finally, they gave my son a double dose of Polio and did not even seem to understand why I was upset.  After all of that, I decided to switch doctors and have not had any problems since.

  • My 15 month old daughter was taken to the ER and was diagnosed with croup. The next day she had some of the conditions noted on the discharge paperwork for immediate follow up with physician. Needless to day I was concerned, so I called the Drs office for guidance. Since it was after hours (day before Thanksgiving in the afternoon), I had to leave a message with the answering service and awaited a call from the Dr. She called me and immediately seemed agitated that I bothered her with such a nonsense concern (in her eyes). I explained to her that my daughter was displaying one of the conditions listed for immediate follow up and she didn't seem to care one bit of my daughters well being. Rather, she insulted my intelligence by saying and quot;she's 15 months old and this is something they doand quot; (in a voice that seems as though she was rolling her eyes). I told her I know my daughter and this is the her normal behavior. She went on to say and quot;well, if you're THAT concerned, take her to the ERand quot; out of frustration. I'm glad I didn't invest anymore time with this Dr as my twin daughters had only been to her once. I will never go back there because it seems like she doesn't genuinely care about the well being of her patients nor the concerns of the parents. u

  • She has a wonderful besides manner. She is great with the kids. She is professional but casual, she has a very comfortable atmosphere. The staff is excellent and friendly. The women behind the desk have been wonderful. I have never had to wait much longer than our appointment schedule is. We have seen her for a variety of things like migraines, neurological issues, and acne. She has referred us out to specialists when needed.

  • I usually am an easy-going person and have a great deal of patience, but this Physician is not a fit for me or my family. Had two different well-care visits for my two children. Both visits lasted WAY over 2 hours, which included a good one hour in the waiting area and 45 minutes in the exam room. Each time we spent about 15 minutes with the Doctor. She appears to be pressed for patience--my schooI-age daughter is very afraid of shots. She was crying and resisting and Doctor mumbled "I dont have time for this" (this is a paraphrase, but what was said was within those lines) . Im sorry, but if crying children get on your nerves easily, you maybe should have considered another specialty. Her style is very direct, which I can handle and appreciate. However, the lack of patience is not something I choose to subject my children to. I will say that her office staff is very courteous and the Doctor does appear to be very knowledgeable. However, bedside manner is extremely important to my family when choosing a healthcare provider. Also, convenience as a working professional with two children is key for me as well. A well-care visit should not last 2 hours. I have cancelled remaining appointments and moved my children to another practice. I am extremely satisfied with my new Physician and office staff. I wish the Doctor and her team the best, but again, they are not a fit for my family.

  • The antibiotic worked as prescribed. I've been taking my son to Dr. Ruiz for years and I have come to trust her opinions. She can be cantankerous at times if you don't follow her advice exactly. However, I find that her advice is worth following; so, we don't really have any issues.
