    It also gave a "Case #"  to make it look like it came from law enforcement.

     There was NO company name on the card. No nothing. I found them by reverse look up of their phone number.

    Who does business like this??? Why are there no other reviews since 2010?

    Pretty dang fishy. AVOID THESE GUYS.

  • They were originally scheduled to come out on Friday. They called Wednesday evening to say that they had an opening on Thursday. We agreed on 9:45am. The technician (Kevin) was here promptly at9:45am. He was here for two hours. During that time he checked contacts of all of our windows and doors (about 25 total). He setup and tested their monitoring service, and then walked my wife and I though the operation of the security panel.

    He was very professional and courteous. I could not have been more pleased with the service I received.

  • Unfortunately I am a Vivint customer.  I am stuck in their long term contract and I cannot wait for the day I can get rid of them.  From day one I have had problems with their equipment.  
    1)  The day after the system was installed they had to return and fix the alarm connection on the patio sliding door because the connection pieces they used fell off.  Poor installation.
    2) Six months after the system was installed I opened a back door to let the dogs out.  I did not realize that the system was turned on.  The alarm did not activate.  I let the dogs in, the alarm did not activate.  Why?  Because they did not have the back door connected to the panel.  I obviously wanted it fixed.  No problem they said we will come out and fix it.  But, I had to pay a service fee for them to come out and fix their mistake.  After complaining they  "graciously" cut the service fee in half.  But I still had to pay them for their mistake because I did not find there poor installation problem soon enough.
    3)  There is a pin pad lock on the door between the garage and the house.  It began to lock on its own.  Several times we were locked out.  I had to scramble to find a way into the house.  I had to keep a key to their lock in the garage so I could get back in the house.  I complained and they came out to replace the pin pad lock.  It worked for a while but it does not work any longer, which is good because it can't lock me out.
    4)  Eighteen months into the contract their camera stopped working.  It sat in the same place the whole time and all of a sudden it just stopped working.  I called and a tech walked me through trying to reconnect the camera to the system.  It did not work.  So they will send a tech out to replace the camera.  You can probably see where this is going.....service charge !!  I have to pay to get their poor equipment replaced.  
    5)  I pay $73 a month for monitoring.  This is way above the rates other services charge.  So in reality the equipment that they claim is free is really not free.  You pay for it over the coarse of a long expensive contract for monthly service.

  • They've been great and we've used them for a couple of years. They were prompt and came when they were supposed to. They had to come several days before the job was complete. They had to hide the wiring because our attics don't connect so they had to run conduits up through the roof. The cameras are awesome, they have night vision.

  • For the most part I have been very pleased with FrontPoint.  I have received top-notch customer service from every person I have ever spoken with over the phone.  Unfortunately there was one situation that left a bad taste in my mouth and it had to do with what I would consider the most important piece of an alarm system, and that is the monitoring of the security of our home.  We were having some work done on our home and the contractor was supposed to contact me to have me turn of the alarm before entering the residence- he did not.  Well, I had no idea there was a problem until I received a call from the local police (nearly an HOUR LATER) asking me if the people that were in my house working on the floor were legit.  When I called FrontPoint to ask them why neither me nor my husband received a call to notify us that our alarm was going off, the representative told me that they did call.  I knew for a fact they did NOT call because I checked both of the call logs on our phones.  Of course we were not charged for the false alarm, but most concerning was the fact that 45+ minutes went by before the cops even arrived and heaven forbid the alarm was actually going off due to a true criminal act.  I eventually received a call from someone at FrontPoint who was looking further into the situation and was told that it was a "technical error" in the transmission of our information between their company and the monitoring company's systems.  Though I appreciated their honesty, I still felt conflicted on keeping them as our security provider.  We decided to give them a chance since they have provided exceptional customer service in almost every situation (other than when the rep informed me we were contacted when we weren't).Hopefully we will not regret this decision in the future.

  • This guy is very good at what he does and charges a fair price. he setup monitoring for me through a local company for $20 a month, 1 year contract. If I had signed up with Brinks, they wanted $35 a month for 3 years. This is better because if I decide not to renew my monitoring next year, its my system so all the doors and windows and keypad will still work (unlike brinks). He went over the system after installing it and even made a change to a zone at my wifes request after packing up his equipment. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

  • This is the Second time we cancelled ADT service with pretty much the same problems. Previous experience: about 5-6 years ago we decided to cancel our ADT monitoring services for poor service delivery and calling on alarms. We had to battle for about 3 months to get the billing stopped. We swore we would never use ADT again. This go around we ended up as ADT customers not by choice but because of several acquisitions of our service providers that were eventually gobbled up by ADT. Things were OK until we needed to cancel our service because we had sold our home. Upon notifying ADT with about 30 days advance notice they told us they couldn't just accept cancellation by phone or online and that we had to fill out a form requesting cancellation and mail it in to the specified address. I accepted their reasoning and complied with a mailing the next day. Here we are almost 3 months after the move and discontinuance of the phone line and their charges continue to hit my credit card. When I called to complain they tell me they have no record on my written request. After raising h*** they agreed to cancel the service and billing effective that date but no action possible on the billing to original cancellation date. My next complaint will be to the BBB.

  • AAA, specifically Carla, went above and beyond what I consider normal customer service to make sure that we were completely informed. They not only informed us of their products, they also discussed the pro's and con's of the competition. I was so amazed that Carla was willing to give up the "sale" to make sure that we had what we needed for security that we ended up using their product. I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER, BOTH WITH THE EXPERIENCE BUT ALSO THE TRUE COMPASSION THAT WAS SHOWN FOR OUR NEEDS (cap's for emphasis there...). I highly recommend their staff, their services and we are very pleased with our decision.

  • I first contacted David as Angie's list had him as a top rated alarm guy in the state. When I saw his area code when he returned my call, I apologized thinking it was a computer glitch. He was located all the way across the state. He told me there was no mistake, and that he was expanding his well thought of business into the Tampa Bay area where I live. The more I spoke with him, the more confident I was that I had indeed stumbled into a very good thing, and I was indeed fortunate he picked this exact time to expand his business. I had multiple special concerns, and a special needs family member who would require certain extra protections. David assured me on the phone that his system could handle whatever requests I could throw at him. He arrived punctually, and started working on the house with his polite and pleasant son. Work finished early, so I was able to spend most of the morning, and early afternoon shadowing him. At no time did I feel rushed, or that I was in his way as he worked. He is the very definition of what my father would call a "good businessman.". Pleasant, courteous , professional, truly expert. I felt as if I could trust him with my family's security. His 30 years of expertise shone through. I had requested that he move a part of the alarm system that was in our way for a construction project we were about to undertake. Not only did he do what I requested ( with no questions asked and NO ADDED CHARGE for an hour), but then incorporated our upcoming plans for the house into the design of the alarm system. He put in upgrade after upgrade after upgrade. No additional charge. I was amazed. The current alarm system had been neglected, and was 14 years old. After replacing its brain with a supercomputer, he tested every door and window, and put in extra safety and security equipment that I hadn't even conceived of. He repaired every broken or damaged component. He restored the system to much better than new condition. It is truly a wonderful system. It has everything a technophile like me could want, but all that power and customizability hides behind an interface that my six year old could easily master. The best part was when he took his time and went over every single aspect you can image of the system, patiently answering every question I had, and pointing out a myriad of things I hadn't even thought of ( but David certainly did). What a breath of fresh air. After all was said and done, he called to make sure everything was going well, then invited me to call anytime, and offered to come by and check again in the future. You get what you pay for. I opted for a top of the line system. However, there are other options that fit every budget. I cannot say enough good things about his professionalism and know how. Some of my quotes came in lower, but I got a brand new deluxe system that really will meet my needs with David. Working with this company is an absolute pleasure. I give them my highest possible recommendation. I feel very fortunate indeed that they are now working in Tampa Bay!
