    So I was referred to this place to get my hair done and was told that they would do a great job, because the manager didn't hire just anyone in her salon. I went there with high expectation and came out extremely disappointed and even cried over my hair not once but twice. When I got there I asked her if she could do my hair how it was in the picture, she took a quick glimpse and said yes. When she returned I asked her how much she would charge me and she said $180. After that she started separating my hair to bleach it and my hair was in those chemicals for about 4hrs. I arrived at the salon at 1240pm left around 6pm. My hair went from being long and healthy to being completely damaged to the point where it is now fried. I've spent more money than I ever expected. $204 for having my hair done... I paid to just have it colored no haircut included, about $100+ in hair products to prevent my hair from breaking being that it was bleached for so long. Hannah said she would fix it and had me come in two days later, but then after she finished doing my hair asked how I wanted to pay her for fixing it. I respectfully told her I wouldn't pay her for fixing my hair being that I didn't even get what I wanted in the first place. I shouldn't have even paid for the first visit. I had to cut my hair and it took me so long to grow it. Oh and add another $60 to that cost because I had to go to someone else to cut it. I am beyond disappointed that all the money I've spent on my hair to keep it long and healthy has gone down the drain. I only wash my hair with Lanza Keratin Healing Oil and that's $80 a bottle for shampoo and conditioner. My hair looked like it had been dipped in bleach in two different sections, because I had two different tones. When she "fixed it" I had black thick strands going around. The ladies here are professional and really nice, but the outcome of my hair left me beyond disappointed and I paid more than I ever have hoping I would get what I wanted. Attached are the pictures of what I asked for and what I got in return. I will never recommend anyone to this place for any service. Also, be aware that if you do write a complain through BBB, Hannah will lie in response and deny any accusations made. Make sure any anything with her is documented, that way you can provide proof if the services provided by her are not what you asked for, or like in my case... if she completely damaged your hair.

    It went wonderful. She is the type of person you don't have to worry about. She has been doing my hair for 11 years. She is very professional and knows what she is doing. She is a great color specialist. I always have people giving me positive comments on my hair.

    I am really fussy about who touches my hair but, I would give Sharon an A. I will go back to her, she is the only one I will go to. I guess that is a normal price for going to the salon as opposed to other salons. If you are fussy about who cuts your hair, this is the place to go. Some people, they go in and they get, 'Okay, it will grow out, I will cut it back.' But I have always been paranoid about who cuts my hair. If you are going to pay an extra amount for a hair cut, it should be done right. This was the first time she had seen me and my hair was long. When your hair is long, it is straighter because of the weight of the hair holding it down longer. When she cut it which was a specific look that I was going for, she did an outstanding job considering that she didn't know what she had to work with to start/ how it would react. I won't go to anybody else. The last time I had my hair cut was like 10 years or earlier. Other than that, I gave my father the scissors basically to just cut it straight across the back. I don't let anybody just cut my hair. When I give someone an A, it is not just a shallow recommendation.

    I have been coming to Salon Essence since they opened. Love the friendly atmosphere. Kim, my hair dresser is a doll and Theresa, who does my nails is the only one I will go to. I am completely satisfied every time I leave the salon.

    Good old fashion neighborhood barber shop, not a hair styling joint. Walked in saw six chairs four occupied. Was greeted at the door and sat down. I asked if they did straight razor shaves and it was no issue. No appointment. No Issues
    Scott cut my hair and did the shave with warm towels, shaved twice, and then cold towels all...
    The hair cut was 12 and the shave was 10.
    would recommend over a chain store place and cheaper in price.

    My hairstylist cuts and colors my hair perfectly. I've been to like three stylists and they can't get it right; she's the only one that does exactly what I want. They always want to do it their way, and I usually have to fight with them, but she's been doing it my way after I got in there for almost three or four times. I get tons of compliments on my hair. The other girl that I switched from, I didn't get that so much.

    They do take your information so that they can have a record of you. They talk to you first to find out exactly what you want and what you are expecting to find. I thought that was very nice. They worked with you. I can be a little picky. The first time I went there I got a perm and we kind of talked about doing one way and then the other. And the gentleman that I had said we are going to do it this way, but if you don't like it, all you have to do is call me. I called him within a week and said I'm not happy and he said I can come in. There was no charge and he did what he had to do and I was thrilled. So I was happy with that. The environment is nice. I wouldn't say it's upscale, but it's clean and they do have a receptionist that greets you, and a waiting area. It is a nice salon, but it's not one of those fancy places. I think their prices are reasonable.

    They also do nails, hair glazes, extensions, and basically anything that has to do with the hair. They do have someone who is a nail tech who does the nails. The price for the haircut is only about $5 more than the average haircut with another hairstylist that's maybe an independent hairstylist and not a chain store. The quality is certainly significantly better. She has other people who rent space from her and some that work for her. There are at least 10 stylist there, but it's not a hole in the wall tiny place. Pamela is the owner and she's fantastic. She's extremely responsive. If you don't like something she could help you find a different style or do a fine tuning with the style that you have to get it more like what you want.

    I read the excellent reviews and decided to make this my salon. I realized that in taking care of everyone else and working a full time job, I hadn't had a haircut in over a year. I came in for a free consultation a few days before my appointment. The ladies are this salon are just wonderful people - very fun and friendly.
    Unfortunately, it just doesn't seem like they know much about color or fine hair. My stylist, Tiffany, did a gel version of a highlight with two different colors. I have very dark, straight, and fine hair. The highlights were very pretty (we picked the colors together), but they only held for the first three inches of my hair, beginning at my scalp. She mentioned that she'd worked to color my grays hairs (sadly starting to get those :), but when I got home, I noticed that the color just didn't take to the gray hair. I could see where it was on it, but it just didn't soak it in. Odd. So, I had to pluck them all out myself. The highlight alone was very expensive about $80. Tiffany is coming from a career change, and it seems like she's a terrific salon manager, but maybe she just needs time to learn more about color and hair again?
    I do very highly recommend the anesthetist (Bach) who did my lip and brow wax. She has years of experience and makes the experience very soothing and pleasant.
    Unfortunately, it was just too expensive overall, I wasn't happy with the highlight, and I don't think I'll return.

    My first appointment went poorly. The stylist did not listen to what I wanted done and it took twice as long as they said it would. I went to another stylist that was better but my hair kept getting more dry and brittle. Decided to go elsewhere. I gave it a chance for a year.
