I would give them 5 stars. Brandon Dermatology on Bloomingdale Avenue is triple A. We ended up going there, and they fitted us within 3 days, the waiting room was busy, they are popular. The PA of the doctor that treated me called me 3 days later to make sure I was doing everything, and I got the medication I needed. Before we even got the appointment, the girl got all the paper work filled out. Everybody went above and beyond in that place. Brandon Dermatology should be recommended to everybody. We saw a PA that was super hot but I don't remember his name.

Dr. Hedrick has removed several troubled spots on my skin to prevent a melanoma. The last time I had to have a spot removed from my upper arm. He numbed the skin and used what looked like a thin blade to remove some of the skin. He sent it to pathology for testing. The test came back positive for pre-cancer so I had to go back for further treatment. He removed a deeper section of my tissue and to this day nothing has returned to that spot. It is worth having your skin checked on a regular basis while living in the sun.

The doctors are very thorough when doing skin checks. If you report a skin abnormality to them, they take it seriously and really concentrate the exam on the spot. The office runs very smoothly and efficiently.

I had an appointment for 9am. Like most people, I had to take off time from work for this appointment. I waited for an hour in a very crowded waiting room and approached the receptionist at 10am. I inquired as to why I was having to wait so long when I purposely scheduled an early morning time in hopes of minimizing my wait . The receptionist apologized but gave no specific reason why there was such a significant delay. At 10:20am, the same receptionist called me and several other patients up to the window who had been waiting a significant time period and advised that it would be at least another hour before we would be seen. In my opinion, a 2+ hour wait when I had an appointment is completely unacceptable. Again, the receptionist gave no specific reason for the delays in seeing patients. She gave me the option of waiting ( I am already missing work for this appointment) or rescheduling for another day. Clearly, this doctor is more concerned with overbooking enough patients to meet whatever daily quota he has in mind than for the value of his patient's time. Obviously, I would not recommend this doctor unless you have at least half a day to waste while waiting to be seen.

I had a funky growth on my back. It was terrible and I was scared. I went to my Primary care manager and he thought it could possibly be melanoma. They send me there, I asked for them because I had experience with my daughter there and Dr. Karen Davis looked at my back and said it was a basil cell papilloma and took it off. It was not cancerous; it was benign and took the growth off. They were very quick and they looked at it, I guess, under the microscope and confirmed it that it was not cancerous. So it was a strange growth. I was really happy with them. They were very well versed on what looks like, it could be a problem, not be a problem. They addressed it the same day you go in and you have the consult and they are looking at it and they took it off immediately. They don't wait for me to go to them another day. Most of time, they did not keep me waiting for anything. At the same time they took their time and did what they needed to do, a full body exam that they felt they needed and they needed to give that time to the patient in front of me. It was fine that I did not have to wait for hours. I have not had any unfriendly staff. Dr. Davis was very matter of fact, good at her job also communicative of what is going on.

Great bedside manner. Explained everything they would do ahead of time to put my daughter at ease.
