Philip White Painting & Restoration LLC
Our house was in need of a new paint job, but wasn't the most simple of prospects. Our house is older so it isn't smooth like modern houses, has all sorts of nooks and crannies, and had faux bricks in the front. Phil listened to what we wanted and once we picked our colors went to work doing a terrific job and made our house look much newer than it's thirty+ year age. He especially made the faux brick look great; you wouldn't know they started out a much paler color. On top of the paint job, they pressure washed our roof and did an amazing job. We've already had people ask if we had a new roof installed.

Phil did an excellent job at all aspects of the project. We interviewed three painters and it was immediately apparent that he had the most experience and has been painting houses in this area since his childhood. Phil immediately responded to our initial call with a quick house visit and useful advice about the color matching process. We sent him several questions via email which he answered quickly, and he made a second visit to doublecheck the complexity of the stucco repair. The entire project was completed within 5 days of start, with a 1 day delay for bad weather. We are really pleased with the paint type that he recommended (a satin finish Behr) and he made several useful general home repair suggestions which we plan to follow in the future. At the conclusion of the project, he left us paint and 2 copies of the can labels so we don't have to repeat the color matching process in the future. His entire team was pleasant and professional.

Steve Morgan Pressure Washing & Painting
This company did an excellent job. They showed up when they said they would and worked diligently cleaning the exterior of the home. Steve sent me before and after pictures of the roof, which really highlighted their efforts. He even texted to show us the difference and ask about the darkened areas. (Note: our tile is supposed to look aged, which is the darkened areas you are seeing.) He was easy to work with and clearly explained the process and cleaning solution the team would be using. We were so impressed with the outcome. Our house looks brand new again.

    MAC ATTACKS PRESSURE WASHING
I have used Mac before and he always does a good job on the washing. However the chemicals he uses are very harsh and dangerous to the lawn and greenery. A little bit of grass damage is allowed. However I think my hibiscus is a goner. Too bad. It survived hurricanes and frost. But not the fungicide he sprayed.

Roof Tops and Exteriors, Roof Cleaning
We purchased our home four years ago from an elderly woman and had not seen the actual color of our roof tiles ever.  I think it had been years since the previous owner had the roof cleaned.  They came out promptly, went to work right away and were done very quickly.  The result?  A HUGE difference! The previously dingy and dark roof tiles were sparkly clean and showed the true earth tone brown/clay color of the roof tiles rather than the dingy gray we had been looking at since we purchased.  Great job!!

Contacted Phil White by phone in the afternoon, he answered his phone and after I described the job he said he could meet with me that evening. I mention this because I deal with many subcontractors and these days it's often difficult to get anyone to even call back. After walking around my house Phil provided me with a base price for the exterior of the house and options for several items, of which we initially chose to have him pressure wash the screen enclosure and paint the pool deck. Pricing was comparable with other quotes I'd gotten - originally went with Phil because he had an immediate opening, though after having him work on the house I have to say he'd be worth waiting for if he were busy.
The crew started prep work the next day. Prep was extensive and thorough compared to other painting contractors I've seen, including removing bulbs from exterior flood lights and masking the socket itself to make sure that the whole fixture got painted. Work then proceeded over the next several days. A full crew came every day with the exception of one rain day, on which they still sent one person to work on the covered back porch area; work continued steadily throughout each day. The crew's appearance was professional - no uniforms or anything, but appropriate work clothes, no one was painting my house in shorts and sandals. The area around the house was kept clean at the end of each day. Again, I think they showed superior effort in that aspect.
Phil and his wife were both very helpful with suggestions on paint details; for instance, we weren?t sure how we wanted the various trim elements on our front door, so they made some suggestions and painted one coat for us to see and make a final decision. They also suggested a better color for our front walkway than the one we initially picked. The crew walked the house down when they were finished and there was minimal touch-up. They touched up the few areas we did find immediately so there was no extended wrap-up on the project. Overall, an excellent project. We would definitely use them again.

I really wasn't going to give an overall grade but Angie's List didn't give me that option.  I hate to grade someone when they haven't done the work, but I also don't like waiting for an estimate that he probably never intended to send.

    Richard Hamilton's Painting/Drywall
I'm getting the house ready for sale and wanted driveway, entryway, and pool deck to look nice.  I meet with Richard shortly after sending a message via Angie's List of what I wanted done.  My driveway was awful!  The pool deck had been painted about a year ago by someone who didn't know what he was doing.  Richard gave me a quote right then and was hired right then!  He was able to start within a week.
As I am partly color-blind, I asked Richard for some suggestions for the pool deck color.  He had a couple recommendations that he had used before which he said looked good.  He brought by samples of two colors and painted an area on the pool deck to help be in deciding.  I selected the one he and my friend recommended and am glad I did.
Richard pressure-washed the entry, side walk, driveway, and pool deck.  It almost looked like new!  I'm really happy as I was afraid I'd have to also have it painted because of all the stains.  The next day his extremely efficient and polite assistants returned early before the rains and painted the pool deck.  They repaired the many cracks in the deck before painting.  It looks absolutely fantastic!
After seeing the quality of his work, I decided to hire him for some indoor painting next week!

3LM Roof Cleaning and Exterior Pressure Washing
Came out and did a great job. The house looked like it needed a paint job before he cleaned it. Afterwards it looked great.
They cleaned the roof and soffits to take off some algae which will give the roof extended life with a chemical clean so it won't take off the asphalt with a powerful wash.
Good Job!  I will definitely use them again.

    Reef Tropical Cleaning & Services-Orlando
The painter was punctual, gave me feedback and complained that my paints were not good, despite being the BEHR brand.
I did not inspect the job as I had to leave home in a rush, but the following day, I discovered that there was paint all over my laminate bedroom floor. In addition, the painter had applied the paint to the ceiling area and it was visible where he tried to wipe it off. After two days, the walls had visible blotchy and irregular paint spots. This was odd as the room had one coat of paint prior to his painting it. He had stated that there was something 'wrong' with the paint that I bought and that he had to do two coats on the walls and so was not able to complete the areas specified for the day.  On 8/16 my neighbor offered to help and he painted the walls with a roller and it is perfect. So, I am very unhappy with this job, as I had to pay my neighbor to repaint the room, and will have to now paint the ceiling and find a way to clean the paint splatters all over the floors.
