Landscaping reviews in Tierra Verde

    Floridigenous Landscape Inc
Did not go well. Plants and lawn were installed almost 6 months ago. Just found out yesterday that none of the drip hoses were ever opened for the larger palms in the entire back yard area . Prep work before lawn installed not done properly. Sprinkler install work does not adequately cover lawn area. They came back out and installed an additional line covering an existing area twice instead of correcting problem of lack of coverage in the area that needed it. I have to now rip our sod adjust sprinkler and re-sod. First time ever writing any sort of review. Felt ripped off.

    Aldo's HD Lawn & Landscaping
David did exactly what he said he would do. He came out and gave me an estimate and followed through with obtaining hard to get Bitterblue sod. As soon as the sod was available, he called me to set up installation. He showed up with his crew and did a great job.

    Premier Brick Pavers Inc
As a long time GC in Mass and NH, I did as much homework as possible researching this companies reputation, and I found very few complaints on AL or elsewhere. Very prompt and on time, in fact the only issue I had is that the pool crew showed up one day early due to a miscommunication with the office, and eager to start the large amount of cutting of old brick, and Artistic brand pavers we had selected for the surface and two set of stairs. I had them hold for two hours while my wife and I tarped and taped our back porch and outdoor shower to prevent the huge amount of dust hitting anything. HIGHLY recommended BTW. The pool interior refinishing subs, Southwest Pool Refinishers, also were great with a 9 man crew showing up to apply the interior finish. They also went the extra mile to rumage through the dumpster to find some additional matching tiles we needed for stair and seats markers, since we were very low in tiles at the end. And one of the guys actually saved my next door neighbors dog from drowning in their pool after hearing and investigating two distressed dogs over my fence! Both paver and pool crews were well led by two young foreman and crews who were among THE hardest working guys I've ever seen in construction. 10 to 11 hour days seemed to be the norm with them, and the bosses were always in the trenches doing some of what seemed like the toughest, dustiest work. The paver crew was preceded by a specialized crew to lift the existing poured concrete driveway and long walkway, which needed to be lifted by hand. Very professional and personable guys also. Right after those guys came another specialized crew, who installed the best looking concrete transition (to asphalt road and existing sod) I can find on Tierra Verde! Many of the jobs I see out here the pavers look great, but the concrete transitions look like they were poured and formed at workers wearing boxing gloves. The pool tile was also a welcome surprise, when we picked out a spectacular color changing (dicrhoic like?) glass tile at the office that easily rivals anything I've seen at the Chilluly (world famous glass museum in St Pete) for color and texture. The tiles were only about 1/4 of the cost of another glass tile we had selected elsewhere that we didn't like nearly as much. Anyway...long story longer, I'd use them again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

    Sherman's Landscaping
Hired Z to do landscaping work and sprinkler repairs. He kept asking for more money up front for work to be performed. As much as we have been told not to pay anyone up front we knew Z from an aquantinance, his ex father in-law, unfortunately that didn't make a difference. He took off with all of the money we gave him and hasn't responded since. We had to hire and pay someone else. We are out about 1,900.00 and the amount its going to cost to hire an attorney which we are in the process of doing. Terrible experience

Eric and his staff were always punctual and extremely easy to work with. I have never seen such hard workers, especially in the FL August sun. Overall, my husband and I are extremely pleased with the results and would hire Master Gardener Landscaping for all our landscaping needs.

Park Trim & Haul Tree Service
The job was completed without incident and within the allotted time frame (roughly five hours). I was so pleased with their work, Mr. Parker and I will be seeing each other for a yearly trim in about 8-12 months.

    Tropical Paver Sealing
Unethical and pitiful - don't hire them, this company is a disaster. Their salesperson came to the house and measured. She then emailed me a quote. It had the wrong name so I brought this to her attention and she provided a new quote. After a few detailed questions over several days, I hired them to come on a specific day of the following week as we were having a large graduation party at the house that weekend. I provided a deposit and secured the morning of that next Tuesday. The afternoon before the work, a person called and said they were having issues and asked if they could do it in the afternoon to which I agreed, but was assured there would be no other delays. That afternoon I called the company around 3 as nobody showed. I was home all day waiting for them as they stated they would come earlier if they got done sooner. I received a call from a person who said she ran the company. She stated that a person did come that morning, but the square footage was wrong so he left. No call, no contact, no nothing - I had to call them. She said they won't do the work because the salesperson misquoted it. I described my situation as having a quote, exchanging money, and 2 days from a major party. She said she would have to eat the difference and get it done and that she would make it right. A few minutes later I received a call from someone that stated they were an independent contractor originally hired to do it and that the owner won't do the work. I asked to speak with the owner. A few minutes later I had a voice mail from the owner who said they won't do the work. I called her 3 more times but never received a call back. Even though I have a legal claim, it's not worth it, they are just a very bad company. Also, during the conversation with the contractor, he stated that the owner just fired the office staff and she was working out of Sarasota. This is just a bad company --- don't use them under any conditions. FYI- they evidently don't use employees to work, they farm the work to contractors.

    Seabreeze Ground Maintenance
It took SeaBreeze a few weeks to do the install, but that was mostly due to a tropical storm moving through the area. Everybody was impacted by days of rain. When they did do the install, the old turf wasn't cut down enough, so my yard gate didn't swing closed on it's own. I was assured they'd be back to cut the new sod in lower so the gate works again.

    TREEology Tree Service
We needed work done right away for a fence install. TREEology couldn't do it in time, however they recommended another service. I was very happy with the communication and assistance offered. A true class establishment!

    John Williams Sprinklers Inc
I am very glad I called John Williams Sprinklers, Inc. Rick showed up and really took ownership of my problem. He is smart and hard working and did a great analysis of the situation. They will be my first call the next time a need arises and can recommend them with enthusiasm. I would like to thank Rick for such a positive experience.
