    Corbin Construction LLC
My family and I bought a new property out in Dade City and we were referred to Corbin Construction LLC to help us with our new project. Our second property had a garage/workshop that was the perfect size to remodel into a barn. Andrew Corbin was amazing to work with, he saw our dream and made it happen. We completely gutted the workshop, put up new walls and we now have a 4 stall barn with a beautiful air conditioned feed room and tack room. He knew how to help us save money, what needed to be changed, and helped us create our dream barn. Our original ideas were flawed and Andrew helped us see the bigger picture and now we have a bigger tack room and feed room with better flow in and out of the building. Without his input we would have had a smaller hallway to the tack and feed room and smaller rooms connected. 10/10 Amazing service, easy to get a hold of and never gave us the contractor run-around.

    Yeager & Company Inc
From the ease of setting up the appointment and the professional salesmanship of Mike Shorba and Mike made sure he was at the first day of the job. Which removed any stress that we might have had. the install team was very clean and very careful with our furniture. I want to add that the install team was very informative with us. every day they asked if we were okay with the project, just nice to have them asked us for any issues we might have. The installers also kept us on the.loop on what time they would show up to work and they were always here at the stated time. No guessing with this company which was very nice. The office staff was also very pleasant to work with. We can not tell you enough about the great customer service Yeager team has given us. Then the final kudos for this team the floors are beautiful ! Thank you

    COASTAL CONSTRUCTION
Signed a contract with them to remodel the kitchen in September. Was given a 4 to 6 week timeline. After 4 weeks contacted and was lied to - they stated the cabinets were delayed when in fact they did not order the cabinets until 11/29. Adam ordered the cabinets without coming to the house and ordered the wrong sizes. Work began in January could not continue until correct cabinets were ordered. Crew did not bother to turn off the power or water when removing the dishwasher and is just lucky he did not kill himself thru electricuation. Granite guys came and could not template because the cabinets were not plumb. My husband fixed the issues and we finally got the countertops. Contacted Coastal to have the plumbing done and no response. My husband finished the plumbing. We fired them due to failure to complete the job in a timely manner. WE are still in the process of completing our kitchen. Oh and they ruined my tile floor and I have to now pay to fix it as well.

    Workhorse Builders

Horrible experience from the get-go.  We contracted with Workhorse Builders to both build an additional room onto the back of our house and swap out our sliding glass doors to French doors while also changing out our 14-year old AC unit for a brand new (state of the art) AC unit.

While the room addition went somewhat smoothly (a few minor issues that we could deal with), we initially had major problems with the doors.  All of the new French doors were leaking when it rained and most did not fit correctly when installed.  It was very difficult to get Kris and his team to respond and respond appropriately.  He actually brought out someone from the door supply company that told us all doors leak like this when it rains!!!  Ridiculous.  We finally complained enough that they came out - weeks and weeks later to adjust the doors and fix the warped wood flooring in the new room (which was ruined by the water and already had mold growing).  The door issue seemed to take months to get resolved - and with a lot of pain and frustration.

The biggest issue, unfortunately, was with the new AC unit - in which Workhorse hired their own AC guy for this.  This was (and is) a nightmare!  The AC contractor insisted we go with zones for our new AC and began to incorrectly install these zones while taking out our existing insulation and replacing it with mobile-home grade insulation.  The wiring and duct work was never done correctly and our house temperature was in the mid 80s for several months!  There was no way to cool our home AND our electric bills began to double!  While the AC contractor tried - unsuccessfully - to fix these problems, Workhorse refused to get involved and assist even though it was their contractor.  After months of discomfort and major expenses, we decided to call in 2 local AC companies that came highly recommended.  Both could not believe what they saw in our attic.  One suggested that it looked like an 8 year old did this work and both agreed that the zones weren't set up correctly (nor did we need zones for our home configuration).  They were just shocked and appalled at the duct work, wires hanging unconnected and overall shoddy work,

We finally decided to go with Cornerstone Air & Heating (a fantastic company) and they proceeded to both undo what was in place, put the correct insulation back in, fix the wiring and duct work and they had our house cooled in no time.  We also saw our electric bill go back down to where it had been previously.

We continually kept Workhorse Builders aware of what we were doing and were asking for help as we originally paid them over $12k for the AC piece of this job and then had to pay Cornerstone thousands of dollars to repair it.  Not only did Workhorse not respond - or seem to care - but they refused to assist us with the cost of the AC in any way.  They wouldn't refund any of the payment we made and would not assist with any payments we made to Cornerstone to fix it.

We then reached out to Workhorse for months - with no response - to see if we could settle this face-to-face.  Finally, when I mentioned that we would get a lawyer involved and possibly go on Angie's List, Better Business Bureau,etc... Kris (the owner of Workhorse) responded and agreed to meet.  He came to our home, we summarized the issues over the past 16-18 months and he told us that he would have to go back to the AC contractor to see what they could do.

Well, that was almost 2 months ago and he, again, refuses to respond to our calls, texts and emails.  I let him know that we would give him until the end of April 2015 to respond and he didn't.  So I am out on Angie's List for the first time to let everyone know in the greater Tampa area that you should NEVER use Workhorse Builders and share our horrendous experience.

The monetary cost is one thing but the true frustration is working with someone who doesn't seem to care or have any intention of completing the job to the satisfaction of the paying customer.

I can supply additional details of this experience if anyone is interested.

    Solid Rock Construction
Everything was very good. The workers were very nice. A friend had referred them to us. We were on vacation and we gave them total access to the house. They were done at the end of December when we got back. When I call them, they always answer. There isn't anything that I could say bad about them. Even when I did have a question about something or needed something changed, they would respond quickly.

    BROOKS CONTRACTING INC
He's very good. I had a severe problem with another contractor and he saved me from him. He took care of everything. If he can't do it, he'll tell you. He's trustworthy, responsive and easy to work with.

    Stress Free Resoration/DKI
Last week I woke up to find my kitchen and living room covered in water (I found out later that a pipe broke in my kitchen), I was in a panic because I had no idea who to call!
Luckily my neighbor saved me from having to just pick a name out of the yellow pages by referring me to a company who she swears by. I called Stress Free Construction at 8:30 that morning to explain my problem and they were knocking on my door by 9:15, I could not believe it!  The technician could not have been more awesome, he found the problem (broken pipe) and fixed it immediately. Then he proceeded to clean up the water and started drying out my floors and drywall immediately. I found out from speaking with the technician that not only do they take care of plumbing issues but also are a full service company that is licensed to do everything from plumbing to building housesStress Free Construction is now my official go to company going forward!

    5 Star Quality Construction
While repairing the dry rot he determined there was a roof problem. Recommended a roofer to repair the roof and worked with the roofer in getting the whole job completed to our satisfaction. Really easy to work with and very helpful in getting the problem resolved.

    Alimay Home Builders LLC
In 2012 I purchased an Alimay Builders home in Fishhawk Trails, near Brandon Florida.  The home was originally built in 2006.  Every feature of this house still looks and works perfectly.  It's a gorgeous home, and Alimay's attention to detail is wonderful.

    Tisdale Construction
The experience is very positive. Our initial call was acted upon immediately. Steve Tisdale visited and gave us a rough idea what would been to be one and then recommended an engineer. The engineer arrived promptly and submitted the report. Within days, Tisdale workers were here. In two days they had completed the job. We did have to call them back for a slight adjustment to a piece of siding that had popped but they came and took care of it immediately. There could be some improvement in customer service by the office staff especially when it comes to obtaining the checks for payment. I know it is important to them and I am sure some people do not always pay on time; however, those of us who have shown we are not like that should be treated with a little more trust. On the whole the a great experience.
