    M Stransky TV repair
Great. Repairman arrived sooner than expected, took the TV off the wall, made a quick evaluation, quoted a possible price. He took the TV back to his office, fixed the problem in less than a day, returned the TV, put it back on the wall and charged me exactly what he quoted earlier. I was impressed with the professionalism, punctuality and technical expertise of M. Stransky TV Repair.

The TV works like brand new now that Mitch fixed it. Here's how the transaction went for me. I paid the $20 fee when I dropped it off at his shop so he could to diagnose the problem, which I felt was well worth a $20 bill. After a week, I had to call to see the status of the diagnosis, and he advised he meant to call me but hadn't had the time. During the call he advised it would cost $125 total to replace the power core. I said that was too expensive for the age of the TV so I asked him not to bother fixing it and went to pick up my broken TV. When I got to his shop to retrieve the TV, I told the woman, it was too expensive. She exclaimed rather rudely that $90 is not expensive. I let her know that if Mitch had offered to fix it for $90 I would not be picking up a broken TV but would have instead authorized him to make the repairs. Next, as I am carrying the broken TV out to my car, Mitch comes out of the back and offers to fix it for $100 total. What happened to the $90 that the lady just said, haha. Anyway, after the let's make a deal session in the parking lot, I agreed to the $100 and he fixed it perfectly. So far, it's working great. Make your pricing policy more uniform.

Frank had to get the part- it was on back order- and that took about a week. He came back installed the part. TV seemed to work as required. Then the TV reverted back to turning on and off. I called Frank again, he came back by. This time he took the TV to his shop and tinkered with it checking connections etc. Frank stated he left it on for 26 hrs and then tested it to see if would repeat the problem and it did not!
I can not say enough NICE and wonderful things about Frank and FASTECH.He came out when he said he would. Frank took his time and did the job correctly  He went above and beyond for me and my TV!!
I HIGHLY recommend FASTECH and FRANK!

TV was picked up promptly on time Saturday morning, I called Friday in the afternoon.  Brought back 5 days to my home.
Service was great, repair complete and there is a 1 year guarantee. Very pleased.  Would recommend and use again, if needed.

Mitch was great.  He called to set up an appointment to look at the TV in our home.  He called before he arrived to let us know he was on his way and arrived promptly on time.  He looked over the TV and determined that the power supply board was bad.  We ordered one off the internet and brought it and the TV to his shop.  He determined that the board that we purchased was bad.  He replaced that board and delivered the 36" TV back to our house and set it up.

Frank returned my call the same day and we agreed on a visit the following day; he arrived on time and proceeded to remove the back of the set (37" LCD).  He tested various parts of the Main Board and the Power Supply, and decided that the Power Supply was the cause of the problem.  A part was ordered, and 2 days later Frank returned to install it.  Unfortunately, the Power Supply Board did not fix the issue.  Frank then said he would order the Main Board; 3 days later he returned with the Main Board and when he installed it the PROBLEM WAS FIXED.  Even though the original diagnosis was incorrect, Frank should be commended because the parts supplier charges are non-refundable CORE CHARGE, and Frank absorbed this on his own, thus wiping out his profit on the service!

He came in and checked to make sure I had the correct park. We pulled the tv away from the wall and he went right to work. He was there within 2 hours of my call and he was gone in 35 minutes after he arrived.

I took the TV to the shop at 2 PM. ( husband and wife shop ) The husband was on a call and his wife helped me with the TV.
She promised it would be fixed that day. She called at 4:30 and said it was done. They showed me the TV was working and showed me the bad PC board.I feel the price was very fair considering the size of the board and the quick turnaround.

THIS IS A STORY OF PRINCIPLE...I would not recommend this business. I called 5 centers asking the same questions: do you service in home, if so how much is the estimate? If I bring the set for repair how much? Ciro's would not give an estimated quote for repair, but it was close to my work and only one of 2 shops that said the estimate was free if I brought it in and did the repair with them. Ciro's communication skills were not adequate; after verifying three times that he would look at my set for free if I brought it in and had him repair it, I opted to go there. When I arrived, he kindly brought the set from my car to the shop. However he then told me an estimate would be $55! I went to my car to retrieve my notes and he still claimed he never said it was free. If I was not sick I probably would have walked away and gone somewhere else. Not wanting to spend more time running around, I bargained and got it the estimate to $50, but I was not happy at all. I felt duped! Bait and switch? Probably was a communication problem on his part, but as a retail manager myself, I felt he really should make his customer happy. Had I only known he was Hispanic I would have spoken to him in Spanish on the phone. When he called to tell me the cost of the repair, the conversation was also confusing and difficult to follow. The $50 was applied to the repair, but it turned out his estimate was about 35% higher than 2 other repair services that would actually come out to my house for service. I could have opted to decline the repair and have a home repair, but at that point it only would have saved me about $5, since I had paid the $50 estimate fee. When I stopped to pick up the repaired set, I spoke to him in a calm manner regarding my unhappiness. I tried to give him one more chance to make me happy; I told him all it would take was to split the difference with me of $25. He managed to give me another $5 off; he presumed I was satisfied. When he put my TV in my car, I reiterated that I was not satisfied with the outcome. Yes I was pleased to have a working TV, but as a customer, he did not resolve the error to my liking, whether real or just bad communication . Thankfully I can tell my story on Angie's List. However, I wish there were more references here with multiple reports.

I noticed his ad in the yellow pages, because he offered free in home estimates. I explained over the phone what the problem and he knew what the problem was just by listening to me. He came over to take a look to confirm. He gave me an estimate, and he referrals from my condo clubhouse. My condo clubhouse gave him raving reviews. When he came to repair he called before he came, and asked could he come early. He really knows how to fix plasmas screens. Even though the final repair came to more than $450, I only paid him $450 because he was honoring the previous estimate. I have recommend him to friends and relatives.
