The installers at JZ Star Flooring Services did a fantastic job on our stairs. They really took their time to make sure everything was satisfactory. Also, they took the time to explain options available to us every step of the way to make sure that we would be happy with the results. We're very happy with the results.

I hired Way Floors company, and they did an EXCELLENT job. With $8,000.00 cheaper than other companies that were charging me arms and legs. The Owner have a lot of experience and his first concern is to perform High Quality of work with very reasonable cost. And EXCELLENT Customer Service. Definitely I will call Way Floors for any future work that I need in my house or my Business. I ask God to bless him and his Family, because we really need Honest People like him.....

Everything went just as planned. On the first day of demolition the installers showed up on time and worked on the job for the next 3 days as planned. They were careful, thorough, courteous and respectful of my home as if it was their own. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again.

We recently purchased a first floor condo with atrocious brown carpet and 20-year(+) old linoleum, and while we had initially planned on leaving the flooring in the unit, we just couldn't bring ourselves to keep it. As we currently reside in North Carolina and are in the process of moving, we decided to put a key lock box on the empty unit and solicit quotes from several highly rated but cost-effective companies that we screened using Angie's List and other sites. We needed to find someone that could work within our budget, could be trusted to complete the work unsupervised (again, we are in NC) and was patient and attentive, as my analytical nature often times results in long conversations meant to elicit the most optimal solution possible. After making little to no progress with several other companies (missed appointments, completely screwed up quotes, idiots who apparently don't know how to operate a lock box), I contacted Jaime via email and was immediately impressed with the fact that he responded to my request for an estimate within an hour(!), asking for the address and trying to ascertain what we were looking for. I explained that the unit we were moving into will eventually be used for rental, and I wanted a durable, low-cost tile that we could install once and be done with it (instead of having to constantly replace the carpeting). He initially brought up vinyl planks, but I dismissed it as I wasn't familiar with the product. After visiting our unit, Jaime sent me a detailed quote outlining two different options (ceramic vs. porcelain tile), along with some pictures of the various tiles that were available for the quoted price. Even though the porcelain tile was higher than our budget, I was almost set to go with that when I decided to revisit the vinyl planks. Jaime quickly sent me yet another detailed quote for the vinyl planks, again attaching images showing the options available. I did some further research and after getting feedback from other rental owners, decided to move forward with the vinyl planks. During this whole time I sent Jaime a lot of emails/text messages, and he always responded quickly and courteously, without a hint of pressure to sign with them. After agreeing to his estimate, I mentioned that I was actually coming down to Florida in about five days (as I had some other obligations to attend to), and offhandedly asked him if there was any chance they could start before I arrived (as I had hoped to check in while they were working to make sure were progressing to my satisfaction). To my astonishment, not only did he say they could start, but there was a good chance to could be done the day before I arrived. I quickly agreed to the estimate for the vinyl planks and asked him to start ASAP - plus I asked him for the usual documentation that I needed to provide to the condo association (i.e. insurance, license, etc.), which he forwarded very quickly. I gave him a down payment and the next day his team arrived to rip out the old carpeting and linoleum (which - and then I got a message that the vinyl planks I had chosen were out of stock, but he agreed to swap it for nicer vinyl plank that was in stock, with no additional cost to me. At this point, I was more concerned about not having the job done before I arrived (as I had just adjusted my plans and was now looking to bring down a small load for the condo) than I was about the potential for a small upcharge - but thanks to Jaime's offer, I didn't have to worry about either. *Then*, later that day, Jaime sent me pictures of the condo concrete floor, showing it in worse disrepair than we had expected. He had already forewarned us that there could be issues lurking below the carpet & linoleum, so I wasn't too surprised (especially as I had recently learned that the concrete floor had been cut to replace the main leading out of the condo - something that I neglected to mention earlier). The cost for the patching was reasonable, so we were able to move forward without any problems. From that point forward, they were able to work without interruption, and Jaime kept sending us pics of the work in progress. True to his word, they finished up before I arrived, and I was blown away when I walked in and saw how nice the unit looked with the new floor - not to mention that it was clean and tidy! I'm an avid DIY-er around the house, primarily because I loathe spending money on shoddy work that I end up having to redo anyway, but we've hired plenty of contractors over the past several decades and houses we've owned (most of whom become exasperated with my micro-managing). This is the first time that both my wife and I have been thrilled with results, communication and price we received from Jaime, especially given that we were doing all of this remotely from North Carolina! I *highly* recommend Jaime and JZ Star Flooring Services, and look forward to working with him again in the future.

The whole project from start to finish went amazingly well. Jaime Zagazeta , the owner was outstanding to deal with. We told him of our concern that the removal of the old ceramic tile flooring would be a dust and dirt nightmare and he assured us that the dust and dirt would be minimal with his White Glove Service. It was minimal. We were thrilled. He helped us to pick out the Ceramic Composite flooring that we absolutely love. The installer he sent was terrific. . He was neat and did a fantastic job. In conclusion we highly recommend J. Z. Star Services to anyone needing new flooring.

    DNG Construction
We tore down our bathroom to the bare walls and floor. DNG installed all of the materials that we purchased at a fair price and in a very timely manner. Everyone showed up on time. They were very clean and respectful of our house and our time. A few bumps along the way were easily managed and resolved courteously and professionally. Changes in the plan were treated in the same way. Highly recommend and look forward to using DNG for our kitchen renovation in the near future.

    Sawgrass Floors
Friendly staff that can lay laminate flooring, but do not expect a quality finished product!! The company responded to our request within a day and the owner personally came to our home and measured the bedrooms. The owner and office staff were warm and friendly and helpful in selecting laminate colors. The installers were friendly and professional; however, they clearly did not understand the varying heights of the floors. Once the floors were installed, the installers put the baseboards back on leaving a 1/4 inch of unpainted and scuffed up surface above the baseboard. Once the installers realized the flooring was lower than the previous flooring, they should have called us and asked our opinion on what to do. Instead of calling us, they went ahead and put all the baseboards on. When I told them I was not satisfied, they told me "our painter would have to fix the walls" (our walls had just been painted and now they look awful). The owner did call and ask about the finished product and I told him our dissatisfaction. He told us he could put a higher baseboard on and sent us an estimate. The estimate included a $250 removal of the existing baseboards. The installers were short one threshold and it took them several weeks to come to our home to install it. I'm sure if I wouldn't have paid in full, it would've been completed much faster. Two of the thresholds have come off the floor since installation and one of the thresholds is too high to close the door so we are going to have to take the door off and sand it down ourselves.
