    After waiting several months for my home warranty company and their preferred repair service to restore my primary HVAC unit we finally called Tony Kelly. We had been out of air and heat for the 3 plus months during Thanksgiving and Christmas and were facing the new year still without either. We called Tony Kelly and they sent a technician out the same day. The tech assessed the problem and was able to get our old unit working the same day using a generic blower and some plain old electrical know how. Even though they got the old unit working, we decided to get a new system complete and replace the in adequate duct work at the same time. We were extremely pleased with the service and speed with which they replaced our system...and that they were knowledgeable to get our old unit working until our new system arrived. These guys are the greatest and I would (and plan to) use them again and forever!

    What a great experience. Debbie, Myles and all of their workers were very nice and easy to deal with. They were always prompt, communicated with us on every step, and were always willing to make adjustments as needed.     We have been long time customers (over 10 years) using them for annual maintenance and repairs as needed. Up till this year, it has been great. We have recommended them to family and friends. Something has changed in the business drastically and we are not the only ones who have noticed. Recently, we noticed stains around our AC vents. We asked for someone to come out and look. For whatever reason, we were told Stanley Barineau insisted on responding to take a look. At first, that seemed like just good service. Mr. Barineau came out, looked at our vents, and advised the duct work needed new insulation. He did not go in the attic. Since this seemed reasonable, we took the $500 quote and scheduled the work. My wife took leave that day from work to be here. After the scheduled time came and went, my wife called to find out if they were running late. She was told the crew was tied up on another project and could not make it. No call to let her know or to reschedule. I guess we were expected to call them when they did not show. We rescheduled for the following Friday. Once again, my wife took off work. This time, a single employee showed up. He took a look at the duct work and advised re-wrapping would not solve the issue. The insulation would need to be stripped first. Instead of working up an estimate, he advised we would need to schedule another appointment for the estimate and suggested we schedule the work in cooler weather. Once again, we called for another appointment. Once again, Mr. Barineau apologized and promised to give us a new quote. He did not. It is now 7 days later. We called during regular business hours and got the answering machine. No call to follow up with a long-standing customer. No effort made to keep a long standing customer. No effort to fix repeatedly abysmal service. I suggest you find someone else to work with. This company has obviously gone off the rails from the top down. I expect they will be out of business soon from what I am seeing on their recent reviews.

    I wanted to share my recent experience with Giddens Air Conditioning Inc of Tallahassee FL. Our 23 year old Rheem unit had been having issues for the past couple of years. Our home warranty company continued to patch and piece the system together during this period. The final straw came when the unit started blowing warm air on my daughter's sweet sixteen birthday party with about 20 guests at the house. The home warranty company offered to replace the compressor in the unit. Unfortunately they wanted to charge approximately $1200 for the refrigerant they would need to refill the unit. Upon hearing of this charge my wife suggested that we look to replace the unit. (This was a wise choice as every company that came out to give an estimate said the problem did not sound like the compressor was bad.) I called Jody at Giddens who was very knowledgeable, helpful and offered great suggestions after listening to what we were looking for. She stated she would have Ben (the owner of Giddens) come out and give us an estimate. Of the four companies that came out, Ben was the only one that really went through our house and engineered the house to give system options and a very accurate estimate. He explained our options, the various products, energy efficiency ratings and what would take place to get the replacement done in great detail. He also offered to put a portable unit in our home until the replacement was done. After reviewing our options we decided to go with Giddens. As Jody stated on the initial contact, they would not be the lowest price and they would not be the most expensive, however the product and the service would be top notch. The main influencing factors to go with Giddens was the time Ben spent engineering our house and explaining the products and options. Another determining factor to use Giddens was that they install Trane systems. In my research most of the opinions stated that Trane was the best product on the market. The installation began in the morning of June 27th . Octavio, Lalo, Enrique and Andrew were extremely friendly, knowledgable, efficient and hard working. The attic work was hot, dirty and took most of the day to replace the air handler, line set, drain lines, sealing duct joints, tying into the existing duct work and maufacturing a new return plenum. The guys divided and conqured the entire system working simultaneously on the air handler, the outdoor unit, replacing the thermostat and sealing the return joints under the house. Ben stopped by toward the end of the job to perform a quality assurance check and to make sure that all of items that were discussed at the time of the estimate were completed. He also had the guys patch a hole in the brick from the old system with mortar to had a more professional finish. From start to finish, all of the employees and owner were extremely professional, thorough, friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, respectful and paid great attention to detail. All of these qualities resulted in a perfect installation, which from what all of the folks that came out to give estimates, will result in a more reliable and efficient system. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Giddens and extremely pleased with our decision to use Giddens for our system replacement. I will highly recommend Giddens Air Conditioning to everyone that needs heating and air conditioning work and am looking forward to a Trane system that will give us many years of reliable heating and cooling.

    I needed to replace a 23-year-old A/C unit, and I was looking for something more energy efficient in the Carrier Infinity line. I knew I would be paying more for the equipment, but the high-efficiency unit would also require new duct work to be run in my attic. The whole project took 3.5 days to complete (removing old equipment and ductwork, new pad for outdoor unit, running new copper, building new ductwork, minor electrical). The crew was efficient and did things the way they should be done, with minimal mess and inconvenience. Though the initial cost was more than I had anticipated because new ductwork was required, I am very pleased with the results. The Barineau crews know what they are doing.

    This is the WORST company I have ever worked with. My wife and I were long-time customers who purchased annual service agreements every year and regularly used this company for issues with our system. We contacted the company to have one of our annual service agreement services performed last fall and their technician failed to show up for this appointment without providing any notice. We subsequently rescheduled for a set time and they failed to show up again. When we called the company, they offered no assistance and instead told us that we should contact the technician (who happens to be one of the owners) to try and resolve the issue. We ultimately scheduled 4 appointments with this person and he failed to show up on every occasion, costing us a lot of time and energy! They didn't even offer so much as an apology for all of these missed appointments. The company never performed this service, even though we prepaid for it. To make matters worse, we started to have issues with one of our systems (which they installed a few months prior) and when we finally were able to get a technician out, he was unable to fix the problem. He repeatedly assured me that he would return with new parts and get it fixed, but this never happened and he stopped returning my calls and texts. He never fixed the problem but the company had the nerve to send me an invoice for the service that was never completed! After weeks of trying to get a response, I ultimately had to contact another provider who was able to fix the problem in less than an hour. I have tried contacting the company since all of this to resolve this issue and they are no help whatsoever. They don't respond to calls, emails, or even certified letters. I have cut all ties with this company and will never do business with them again. I always support local business but this was the most ridiculous experience I have ever had with a service provider in Tallahassee. Do yourself a favor and find another provider!

    Giddens' staff was amazing and professional... They replaced the compressor in our older unit. The part was faulty and tripping the breakers. When we told them, they came back out immediately the next day and changed the unit out. They made sure everything was perfect. We obtained several quotes and they were very reasonable. We are happy with the job and would hire them again. Thank you Jody!!

Once the equipment arrived they completed the swap-out quickly and professionally. I'm happy with our new Trane system and the service provided by 3H AC of Tallahassee. I would highly recommend them to my friends and family.
