    Seminole Carpet Cleaning
We hired Seminole Restoration for a project at our house. At first, things went well. The field staff were professional and punctual. Then they forgot about our project, until we had to follow-up with them. The worse part of our experience was when someone affiliated with their company installed particle board to support holding up our air conditioning unit. Their field staff and I talked at length about why particle board is a poor choice for this type of job because of what happens to it when it gets wet. For some reason, this person they referred still installed particle board after it was discussed with him! I asked several times why that happened. To this day, I still haven't gotten a response. *** So, they are not transparent and do not hold themselves accountable for their mix ups.*** We looked into getting another company to change the material. It would've taken too long (we had already been living with our reported mold issue for about 6 months--not all their fault--and were tired of waiting for our house to return back to normal) and we would have had to pay someone else a lot of money to replace it. Because Seminole could replace the particle board with plywood within a few days, we reluctantly went with that option. But we had to pay this person, their affiliate, to correct their mistake. The cost was about the same other companies would've charged. We debated this with Seminole but they did not care. We will never work with them again.

The bone dry folks were fast, professional, and friendly. It could not have been an easier process. They are not only helpful in taking care of the water issue, but they are a tuned to what it is like to be in a mini crisis. The whole crew was really a great support on top of doing a top notch job. I will never use anyone else, but they are trustworthy and excel at their craft. Lord willing, I will never need them again, but if I do I know that I will be in good hands.

They were amazing! They helped me with everything! Kind, professional a great group! They had to come back 3 years later and help me again due to a subcontractor drilling a hole in a water pipe that leaked the entire time! It was a mess, but they put me back together like new a second time! I would definitely use them again, but here's praying that I don't need to.

Restored my trust in service companies. I had no idea what I was dealing with at my home in Tallahassee other than my current renters were insistent on performing a full-home test for mold and eradication... they ordered the tests and sent me the $1000 bill. The report I received indicated that a single bathroom and adjacent closet had growths that should be addressed. I called Bone Dry Restoration. Karen "talked me off the ledge" and provided at great deal of insight as to the process to assess and address any potential concerns. I then spoke to Jeff and provided them the reports from the lab the did the tests. He offered to go by my house and assess for the best solution. He was prompt, courteous and professional both with me and my tenants. He called me immediately after his walk-through to advise that issues are minimal (well below the 10 sq-ft affected area) that would require remediation so out of their purview to address. He made several recommendations on as viable means to address that were cost-effective and would ensure long-term resolution to the issue. For both Karen and Jeff's time and advise they did not charge me (although I offered). They were fantastic to work with and I would highly recommend as a company that is founded on integrity and customer service first and foremost!! Of note, another company offered to do the eradication only at a "discounted" cost of $1550 (which was simply applying a product to the 2 small affected areas).

We thought it had gone well until after we closed on the home and found many omissions. We had chosen this company because we saw a report that they had done a very thorough job on. Our first night in the house, the master bathroom toilet flooded the bathroom. We hadn't even used it. I saw water on the floor and my husband checked to see where it was coming from. The tank bolts were loose and the tank was rocking. He shut the water to the toilet off and flushed the toilet. We dried up the water and went back in the bathroom about 20 minutes later just to find that the toilet had flooded the bathroom again. My husband had to crank down on the shut-off and we had to soak up the remaining water in the tank. The next day he had to take the toilet apart, reset the tank and rebuild the guts inside the tank. I wanted to know if the tile shower pan was leaking because I had seen the report from the other house where they had taped up the drain, filled it with water and waited to see if the water escaped. However, on my inspection, they said there was no way to tell if it was leaking and all they did was take moisture readings on adjacent walls. Why didn't they check to see if water was escaping in my shower? In the kitchen, they said the dishwasher APPEARED serviceable. What ever happened to checking to see if it was serviceable by running it? I went to open the door and the thing nearly fell out of the hole. It wasn't even bolted in. The sink DOESN"T have a hand sprayer but the faucet was dripping steadily. The ceiling fans in the laundry room are a joke. The blades were loose on one but at least it works now that the blades have been tightened. The other one doesn't work at all. The pull chains have frozen up. The garage door opener has a battery back-up but the battery is dead as a doornail. The outside spigot on the patio was dripping steadily. As for the electrical outlets -- not a single outlet in the house will hold a plug. They are so loose that I can't even get the vacuum cleaner to stay plugged in long enough to do the floors. We didn't expect the house to be perfect, but we expected to get our money's worth.

Jeff, the company owner, showed up on time with a crew of two.  They checked the closet and attic in the area of the leak.  No mold was observed in the attic and the mold in the closet was determined to be superficial.  I was given instructions on how to clean it (a simple process) and Jeff would accept no payment.  Obviously not a guy just out to make a buck.

    Affordable Inspections Inc
They did a good, but not great job. The inspector was pretty thorough. He missed a few things and didn't seem to know some things an inspector should know. Our windows can be folded out to clean the outside. If they are not re insert properly, it can cause them to not open and close properly. He was not able to tell me this and I had to have a window specialist come out and tell me it was a simple fix.

The person I spoke with was extremely professional!  He went out of his way to help me with my mold problem, even though he turned out to be outside of my market.
If I were in need of services of this nature, this company's honesty and integrity would make me choose them.  I'm not sure about their pricing structure, but even if they cost more than their competitors, they would be my choice.

Raney Oven with Southern Home Consulting provided the mitigation needed to reduce our radon level to 2.1.  Southern Home provided a turn key process, with their electrician and roofer.   All work was clean and professional started and completed as promised.
$1800. Was expensive but they are the best game in town.
