Hazard Remediation reviews in Sunny Isles Beach

I contacted several companies to get estimates for mold remediation and found the price I got here to be the best. Additionally, they were able to do the rebuild as well, saving me time and the aggravation of having to hire an additional contractor. These guys went above and beyond to do the job and do it well. I'm very appreciative of their efforts and would definitely hire them again.

Bizarre. The technician called in the middle of his scheduled arrival window to say he still had two jobs ahead of me but would arrive by the end of the business day. I shuffled around my other commitments and told him that would be fine. He never showed and I never heard from him again. I didn't hear anything from their office either.

Great communication from the get go. Yoni was very easy to get in contact with and schedule an appointment. He explained the process and made a very stressful situation completely stress free. He and his crew were extremely professional and polite. We were very happy with the results! And would definitely recommend this company to everyone.

Charlie came THE SAME DAY as I called him for additional testing after my kitchen & bathroom were remediated for mold by another company. The reno left a strange smell in my son's room directly upstairs. Charlie literally moved every piece of furniture in there, got up on a ladder & sniffed out the issue near the air vent pipe from the kitchen below. When the test from kitchen came up abnormally high, charlie repeated the tests twice at his own expense! Not only was he prompt & polite, he called me each time w the results as well as emailing a day later. I havent experienced service like this in SoFl before, HIGHLY recommended!! Thank you for your help!

My impression of them is great. We've had three companies come to give us information and they are by far the best. The others didn't come as close to being as professional or as knowledgeable. The representatives are clean, well dressed, nice and friendly. The price was less than I expected.

Overall I was pleased with the quality of the inspection, however, there were no pictures provided, which caused a real problem as I will explain. I was buying a home that needed a possible 4 inspections: general home inspection for purchase, 4 point and mitigation for insurance and if necessary mold inspection with lab results. The estimates were $460 for the primary inspection, another $450 for the mold and $300 for the 4 point and mitigation. Because this was a great expense I asked MIke if he could work with me and he did. We agreed that I would pay for the first primary inspection and that the master inspector Robert would assess whether or not I needed the mold, on site. Further we agreed that Robert would do everything necessary for the 4 point and mitigation but I would only pay for and receieve the report if the initial inspection went well and I decided to proceed with the purchase. I was appreciative of this step by step approach. As it turned out the house needed a new roof immediately, within 45 days to be able to be insured in contradiction to the seller's disclosure that the roof was only 10 years old roof and in good shape. There was also a possible structural problem and some wiring issues which also required correction within 45 days, to be insurable. The team was prompt and thorough. All four gave me a verbal report at the site. Robert deferred to a structural engineer for that issue, which would cost me yet another, additional $300. It was the New Years weekend and I was pressed due to time issues, as per my contract. Again, they worked with my deadline and emailed me the written report quickly. However, there were no photographs attached. I expected a full set of pictures, with detailed ones of the of any problem area. I called Mike and he said they don't provide photos for this inspection, only for the 4 point, if I was moving forward with the purchase. I had bought 4 homes prior to this and in all four instances I was given photos to accompany the reports, with detailed close-ups of any problem areas. I never thought to ask Hometeam if they provided the pictures taken. I believed this was standard practice as per my experience and because they did indeed take pictures on site. I could not understand why they were not provided. When I contacted the structural engineer, he immediately asked for those pictures. He also could not understand why Hometeam did not provide them. He told me that he could possibly save me the $300 if he could simply look at pictures of the cracks first. If he thought it was real issue, he would then schedule an inspection Without pictures I had to decide if I wanted to spend yet another $300 at this point. I called Mike again. This time he sent me pictures of the wiring box, and a different crack near a door, no pictures of the structural question. He said that Robert never took pictures of this. Why not? This was the biggest potential problem and it should have been highlighted and focused on. I felt that he should have had Robert go back and get the necessary pictures, both in and out. I would have insisted, but at that point my gut feeling was to walk away from this house and so I did not pursue the issue. But I also decided not to use Hometeam again because of it. Word of warning, confirm that the inspector will provide pictures for all inspections, not just the 4 point.

This experience was very helpful for me. This was my first time using Angie's list. But, it will not be a last. Charlie and Mold Detective were not the first people that I brought in to check the mold levels of my house. I really didn't trust the first inspector for several reasons; I'll mention only one here. The first inspector sent me a very convoluted report, which he has yet to call and explain to me.

Charlie was very professional, thorough, and friendly. He obviously not only cares about the work that he does, but about his clients and not wasting their time or money. He even charged less than the first inspector.

They were okay but they said that they're going to charge for it. I think when you pay 6,000 dollars to get something done and they tell you that it's a lifetime guarantee, they should honor it. They didn't charge me but they said if they had to do it again, they would charge me. Which I think is ridiculous. They don't honor their guarantee.

I called on October 25 and set an appointment for October 30. No one ever showed for the appointment and I never heard anything further from them.
