Overall he is extremelly knowledgable.  Both colonoscopies went very well.  I would highly recommend him as a doctor.  I like that he takes the time to explain everything to you, and that he is not in a rush to see other patients.

The procedure itself went fine. The nurses were helpful and efficient. The front office staff person was. let's say, less than welcoming. But the real problem with this place is their billing practices. I had a routine colonoscopy. The doctor took one miniscule sample to send to the lab. The doctor and anesthesiologist both billed the procedure as a routine colonoscopy as expected and as covered at 100% by my health insurance. The surgery center, however, got greedy and figured they could bill a different code because the sample was taken and get more money than their contracted rate with my insurance company would pay them for a routine colonoscopy. By doing this, they caused a procedure that was 100% covered by my insurance to instead hit my deductible and cost almost $600 out-of-pocket when I had been anticipating zero dollars out of pocket. The doctor's office disagrees with the center's coding but can't make them change it. Two different reps at the insurance company have said different things -- bottom line is they don't care because now they don't have to pay the surgery center themselves. The doctor's office said that this surgery center changes codes on a routine basis, ignoring the code the doctor utilizes but they still use the facility because their other outpatient center doecn't take their patients on Mondays -- obviously a sought-after day for colonoscopies since you have to prep all day the day before.

I highly recommend him. Dr. Guzzardo is very professional and knowledgeable. My wife has used his service for a number of years.
