AFireplaces & Stoves MDCarl was excellent. He covered and protected my floor around the fireplace before beginning. He then thoroughly cleaned and even spray painted the inside of my fireplace and repaired it totally, when no other company could fix it. He replaced the wall switch that operates the fireplace and now it all looks and works better than it ever has! He spent nearly 2 hours working on it and his price was very, very reasonable. He couldn’t have been nicer or more professional and he completely cleaned up when he was finished. AOlde World Chimney Sweep, Inc.I had used a local business that closed as the owner retired. Seeking a replacement I used the List and reached out to OWCS. I spoke with Kevin's wife (family business), and after a very pleasant and informative conversation, scheduled Kevin for services. The only caveat was the time he was available was during a mandatory work call. Kevin arrived on time after a heads-up the day before. We were able to work out a workflow where any noise from the activity wouldn't interfere with the work I was doing. After completion and self-cleanup, my call had ended and so Kevin ran through the conditions of each item as he found them and the corresponding work/action taken. Recommendations were made for a two-year follow-up and maintenance schedule which I have already marked on my calendar. They can manage more activities than I required, and given the pleasantness of Kevin and his wife along with my experience with the service, I will certainly keep them in mind should any of those listed services on their website arise as a need in my residence.- WAYNE M.

AGordon Griffis LLCI could not be happier with the work Gordon did restoring the fireplace in my newly purchased 95 year old home. He took an old gas fireplace that hadn’t been used in at least ten years, had weeds growing in the chimney and had mortar falling out or missing and turned it into the stunning focal point of the home I had envisioned. Gordon basically rebuilt the entire fireplace box and chimney, converting it back to the original wood burning and updating the mantel. He was on time, did what he said he would do, explained what and why he was doing it and finished the job on time with no real surprises. AYeager & Company IncThe hardwood flooring turned out excellent. The type of flooring was recommended by Yeager and it looks fantastic in these rooms. The remodeling was done extremely well and matches original ceiling, walls and textures. They used processes to control dust and dirt and kept everything as clean as possible during the demolition and installation phases. The tile flooring turned out equally well and looks terrific. They suggested several alternative tiles and helped us in the selection process. They recommended the fireplace remodeling and design and it turned out better than we hoped. Again, they employed their dust control processes and did final cleanup after the project. We are extremely happy with their results. Their advice and recommendations were excellent. Their bids, proposals and contracts were well defined so you knew what they would deliver beforehand. Their quality of workmanship is very high, they use modern best practices and materials. Their teams of specialists were professional and courteous. They price their work fairly, payment terms are fair and they did what they said they would do!! AYeager & Company IncJim Yeager did an absolutely fabulous job of understanding what we wanted and was particularly good at visualizing a "look" that we couldn't quite describe. He was very patient in discussing several different options of carpet vs hardwood, and willing to walk us through various pricing and quality choices. Jim went over and above to find the right products for us. We had originally selected some marble for the fireplace, but Jim found some gorgeous Turkish travertine that really blew the other stone away. It just makes the fireplace and the family room really "POP"!! Despite some problems with an uneven wall and less than stellar backing on the ceramic tile, Jim found solutions. We can't say enough good things about the workers that Yeager employs. These men are true craftsman. They take pride in their work and it shows in the way they do their jobs and most importantly, in the final product. In addition, they were always willing to answer questions and explain what and why they were doing something. The communication was exceptional. Unlike others, Jim is a 'hands-on' owner who was here checking and following-up at every step. Jim's wife, Susan, was responsible for the tile and grout cleaning and did a great job! She also found a very large, unique mirror she thought would go over the fireplace. It's just another example of value-added service that Yeager delivers. We highly recommend Yeager and will be calling them when we're ready to remodel the master bath and kitchen!!- Steve M.

APaul and Erica were an excellent team. I'm so glad they were the first ones I called to clean my carpets and upholstery! Paul made sure I had proper expectations and was very honest about what his services can and can't accomplish - Surface Experts can do a fantastic clean, but they can't exterminate fleas and dust mites. However, Paul connected me with a very helpful pest guy that talked me through natural pest solutions. Paul kept in close contact with me, and arrived when he said he would! He and Erica set up baseboard bumpers for all the corners where their hoses would rub, they moved our very heavy furniture (at no extra cost!), and they were polite and courteous the whole time: a truly service-oriented mindset! I was extremely grateful for the heavy duty "door sheet" that Paul hung in the front doorway where his hoses came in. My son is fighting pollen allergies, and not having an open door made a huge difference. Not only did they clean thoroughly, but they put all our furniture back where it belonged, dusted the baseboards, and left us 4 floor fans to dry out the carpets - all free of additional charge! I truly felt we received great service for the money we paid. Paul charged me exactly what he quoted when I first called, even though over half our house is carpet, and they ended up doing a lot of heavy lifting - the job was over 3 hours! We will definitely use Surface Experts the next time we steam clean, they were easy to deal with, flexible, and very understanding of our situation and needs. Thank you Paul and Erica!
