    Goodman, Dr. Ira
Dr. Goodman was our choice and I'm happy we found him. If you have AD there's no cure, only some weak medications that don't stop the progression or do much good. Dr. Goodman is very pleasant and knowledgeable. He put us in contact with a research study that is testing a better treatment for AD. We found out while trying to qualify for the study that my wife does have AD because a PET scan (paid for by the trial) detected the tell-tale amyloid plaque in the brain. Being in the study gives us some hope for improvement, if it works. That's so much better than having no hope since no treatment on the market currently works. In the meantime my wife gets regular checkups by Dr. Goodman's nurse practitioner (or similar title). The practitioner checks my wife's progress every 6 months and makes sure her medications are proper. There's not really much else they can do using today's knowledge and medications. But the research trials give us hope and we feel like we're getting the best possible treatment available. The trials are no cost to us, and we get paid a little for each visit in the trial. It's the closest thing to a free lunch. The Dr. visits are usually covered by insurance, but if you private pay they are about $200 per visit, not including any blood tests or extra tests.

This doctor is incredibly well educated. He's also board certified in a difficult specialty. Dr. Jacobs is not only brilliant, but he is also very caring and hard-working. You'd be lucky to have him as your doctor.

    Baker, Dr. Christopher J.
He is very very nice and very ethical. He is not just looking for business because he won't help you unless he really thinks he can. He put two disks in my spine and I was out of the hospital in two days and in a month I was fine. This was five or six years ago and I still haven't had a problem. If you have a back problem go to a neurosurgeon.

Details are personal but Dr. Tikku was very gentle and kind.  He listened to both of us with patience and understanding and he is the first neurologist to prescribe a medication to help. There aren't many neurologists in our area and we have now seen three.  The first seem to think we should bring all information to him from other physicians.  The second verbally abused and battered my husband and wondered why we were angry with him. Dr. Tikku was so different from the others.  He asked questions without raising his voice and understood everything we said. He knew that a couple married almost 53 years were inseparable and would be protective of each other. We are anxious to see him again and to see how the medication is working.

    Pineless, Dr. Hal S.
His office is interesting because it is decorated more home-like. You realize that that the type of person he is too when you go in. He always finds things in common with people and he is highly recommended.

He is one of the best and is in downtown Orlando. He has saved my life on numerous occasions. He is unbelievable. He has been fabulous, however you can't just call him and get in. You have to be referred. It is really hard to get in but he will take you if you are an unusual medical case because he is also a professor. Even when I have been in Virginia, he will call me there. I can call him from wherever I am and he will still be involved in my case. Other doctors that were specialists or internists would totally blow off my complaints, but he felt that a med student should have been able to catch on to this stuff. I was telling him what I had a history of and what I thought what was wrong and what needed to be done in terms of the exact tests and upon sight he knew what was wrong with me. When I whipped out the blood work or the studies that were done he couldn't believe that someone had missed it and could still be in practice. I go to him for everything. It doesn't even matter if it is neurological or pain related. He treats me for pretty much everything. I have been seeing him for 7 years. I was the first person he had ever seen with the disease I have and he has gotten extremely involved in my case. He has a great bedside manner and actually cares.

Dr. Nieves was very knowledgeable and was able to reduce the number of medications required for treatment and explain the proper use of generic medications so that we were comfortable with switching to them.

He has been highly rated, and so, we decided to go in and take a look for ourselves, and we were just thrilled.  He has got a great attitude.  He takes his time.  My husband is doing well.  He is very professional.  We actually feel at ease.  Everybody just loves him.  We have got a confirmation of all the appointments he is going to have next week, and this is handwritten.  We would use him again in the future.

I've seen him several times. He will see you first and refer you to his associates. I didn't have surgery on my shoulder because I went to him and did several physical therapy exercises and was able to avoid having surgery because of his help.
