If went really well. The windows and door are beautiful. The scheduling didn't always go as planned but there was a lot of rain those few weeks. They boarded up the window openings when they weren't working and protected the inside from the rain. The windows were finally installed the day Hermine came into the area. They held up well during the storm.

    Perkins Concrete Inc
Perkins concrete was the only company that could accurately describe the process I knew was required to recreate this column. For home resale purposes all of the four columns around our driveway had to look alike and match the stucco faux bricks of our house.
The column is approximately 2 1/2 feet square and about 4 1/2 feet high with a custom built lighting fixture on the top.
First the broken components and the damaged foundation were removed. A new foundation was laid and allowed to cure. The concrete blocks were laid to build the internal structure and allowed to cure. Then the first layer of gray colored stucco troweled on to the side and top of the concrete blocks and allowed to cure. Then second layer of brick colored stucco was troweled on, allowed to set for a short time and then the brick colored stucco was cut away to make the mortar lines for the faux bricks.
This was a long process from initial contact from December 8, 2014 to January 24, 2015.
Perkins is always very busy and the holidays were approaching but their representative showed up for the estimate one day later on December 9. I received a firm estimate on Dec 12. I gave the go-ahead to do the work on December 16.Perkins concrete advised me that they could not schedule the work before Christmas only nine days away and that they were closed for the holidays until Jan 5. They started the work on January 7 and completed it on January 24. There was time required between each of the steps to allow concrete or stucco to cure and there were rain days that interfered with some of the scheduled work.
I am as pleased as I can possibly be. Although Perkins Concrete warned me that it would be tough to mix the red stucco to exactly match the color of the faux bricks to the other existing columns, I can't notice a difference.
Perkins Concrete works effectively and efficiently to perform high quality work. The prices seem high but the quality could not be better for a difficult reconstruction that matches my other existing columns.

    Always Reliable Concrete Inc
Had an existing brick walkway removed and replaced with concrete. They were very punctual in coming out to look at the job and give me an estimate. Work was scheduled for 2 days, one day to remove and place the forms, second day to pour and finish. Day one's activities took only a few hours but day two came and went with nothing happening and no communication. Day number three came with the arrival of workmen and a concrete truck so maybe a name change to Usually/ Almost Always Reliable Concrete?
In all seriousness, the job turned out great and looks perfect.

John did a great job of copying the style of the original mailbox using only that picture as a guide. It took him a while to find distressed bricks that matched those of our house, but he did it. I think his pricing was fair for the work performed. He told me before he bought the bricks that he had to buy half a pallet minimum which would leave quite a few bricks left over and cost an additional $150. I agreed to this, but in the end he did not charge the extra, nor leave the extra bricks. It was a small job that John had to fit into a schedule of larger jobs and he did a great job. I would definitely hire him again!

    Second Nature Landscaping
Jim returned my call the same day when I found him on Angie's List. The whole experience felt like a home improvement show on HGTV! Every day there was so much progress. With the enormous amount of work to be done, Jim figured out a seamless schedule that could be done to accommodate all of the work. Each project (and there were a lot of individual projects!) exceeded our expectations. We had a choice of products throughout the process and we even visited a bamboo garden and nursery where Jim educated us on the different plants available to us. Jim and his crew are professional and courteous, respectful and hard-working.

We will have Second Nature landscaping back without hesitation. We encourage you to go with this company, you'll be happy you did.

I called Joe Jimpie to tell him about the problems in my house and he did not know if he could do the job or not, so he advised me to call Bayside Construction. Skip Ennis, did the completed job of my house except for the masonary which Joe did himself. We began our project in June, but before Joe came out to see the problem he finished my concrete job for us somtime in August I can not tell you the date it was approx aug 10th or so. He did the job in five full days 8-10 hour days and it was pretty hot then. I gave him lots of ice and water, which most people do not give any contractors, but People you must take care of those who do work for you too. The payment was with a contract that I signed on with Bayside Construction. You will have to contact Bayside Construction on the payment that mr. jimpie received. Joe did an excellent job, the house 30X30 room is stable and secrure No more mildew no more mold. heavy laddled concrete in my house and I am happy that I got Joe to do the work here. thanks Joe

John's work quality is excellent and professional. Although I was not home during the project, it was stated he worked "very hard" throughout the two days. It was great to have the confidence that I did not have to be at home to oversee how I wanted it done. He met and exceeded my expectations.

Excellent! Jim and crew designed a layout that tied in with the other areas, and had all the necessary equipment to work in a hard to access area. Great job!
