Lighting Installation reviews in Seffner

    CORNERSTONE CONTRACTING CO.
When they installed 3 overhead lighting fixtures, the technician stole the unused hardware from the lighting kits. As he was installing the lights I asked why he did not use the included hardware and he claimed it was obsolete, but he took it without letting me know. After he left I was examining the empty boxes and discovered he had taken the hardware. I ask detailed questions when someone is doing work for me and he was unable to fully explain the installation, but when I went to Home Depot to verify that the installation was correct, the tech's explanation was very clear. I initially contracted for additional work, but decided never to use this company again. It took 2 weeks and three calls to get my deposit refunded. I have called repeatedly to have the stolen hardware returned, with no success. They are way overpriced and customer service is lacking.

The crew who came out, Matt and Duane, were extremely nice, knowledgeable, and thorough. They treated the projects at my house as if they were working on their own homes. They did an amazing job and I would definitely hire them again! These guys can do just about anything, from your "honey do" list to full kitchen remodel.

No one will believe this. The entire staff did the best work imaginable. There were two or three 'issues'. Everyone one of them was resolved with a smile and perfect completion. I can only speak accolades to the entire staff. I had only to mention a concern and the staff were there to help us make a knowledgeable decision. The lead construction person hurt himself and even after that each staff member pitched in and the construction went on as scheduled. I cannot single out one as better than the other, or the best. They are all professional and treated my house as their own. The staff at the beginning helped us resolve all different kinds of issues: cabinets, exhaust fan, lighting, flooring, granite, type of windows, kitchen layout, and backsplash. The staff made changes on the go as needed to comply with the needs of my spouse. The cost was always minimal. The equipment they needed was always kept in neat and out of the way place. They always kept the construction site extremely clean. Cabinets, flooring, appliances, and construction supplies were always available when needed and were never a nuisance.

The install was great, the tech was very professional, ontime, asked me for my preferences, quite nice, clean, and friendly. But the prices! There was just a formal pricing sheet and the total was over $800. The sheet was based on each service, and an outlet was over $100. I ended up having the tech do only the boxes in the wall, and I installed the lights and the actual outlets by myself since I'm an engineer. I paid their prices for everything else because I needed the work done when I had them come out and couldn't take more days off work for more quotes/companies.

    Mister Sparky Electric
Clay was awesome. He worked late into the night to get the job finished. He always called 30 minutes before arriving and never said "no" to a request we had before he checked all possible options. Clay was extremely professional and took pride in his work to make sure it was done right. Mister Sparky is now our official electricians.

We had an issue with 4 lights in our home and had it looked at in the past and the electrician could not figure out how to fix them.
Brandon Electric did an excellent job.  They were prompt on their initial estimate appointment. The technician was very informative and gave us clear options as he investigated the issues.  Eventually he recommend a re-wire to fix three lights that would not work in the home.  The scheduled the work and came back at the right time and did the work as per the specs.  Again, the technician kept us informed and made sure the work was done to our satisfaction.

    • After a slight delay, technician arrived and immediately surveyed the area and decided on his course of action.  He worked steadily to neatly install the lighting fixtures and switch.  The entire project took several hours to complete and the clean up was performed both during the job and upon completion.  We are very pleased with the appearance of  the lights and their arrangement over the table.  The switch works smoothly and has is unobtrusive and easily operated. All in all, a super job.

David & Tom arrived on time and ready to work . They supplied ground cloths for each work area and proceeded to install the first two fans without any problems . When they removed the existing ceiling fans in two bedrooms , they discovered that the electric box's were neither meant for fan installation or in good strong  condition . ( the handyman that installed the previous fans made no mention of this problem ! ) David then offered to install bracing and an electric box meant for fan installation . Due to having medallions in place and working from the room , as requested , this additional work entailed about two and a half hours extra for completion of the job . Everything went smoothly and these gentlemen were courteous , considerate and cleaned up after themselves including hauling away the old fans .

    A very good experience .

    Small Jobs Electric

Ron Smith, electrician with Small Jobs Electric arrived on time for our appointment.  He explained the we needed to have the fixtures replaced because they had out of date equipment with bulbs that were not going to be made in the next year.

The quality of work was very good and he cleaned up work site when the job was completed.

WE had a breaker break and our bathroom uv light wouldn't work.  The breaker caused about 4 outlets to not work and the bathroom light fixture wouldn't come on.  They came estimated it to be over $250 and ended up only charging us $170...that's what I am talking about! :)
