Ricardo is an extremely honest and reliable person to work with. He was always a phone call away. He helped me prepare my parents home for sale. He also helped with cleaning, fixing cabinets, replacing carpets and hauling away trash. I really cant say enough good things about him and his company. You wont be disappointed if you hire him. Oh, the house never hit the market. I had a cash buyer from the neighborhood lined up right after he finished painting.

    Zelinski Woodworks
Unfortunately I did not get the good work from this company. In fact the baseboards were put on terrible. It is sad as the owner was told immediately when it was done how the work was perceived. He states that the painters will calk it and it will look fine. Yet there were area's that had quarter in gaps from the tile to the baseboards. Some corners not flush. He was in a hurry and did not dig any of the tile grout to make the baseboard flush. as he stated he was going to do. The painters came and also stated what poor workmanship was seen.. The owner, Brian, said he'd fix it but never came back to do so..never answered texts or phone calls. But he was paid in full. Beware and know what needs to be done..I learned a lesson!

I certainly made the right choice when I contracted with GC&D to renovate my apartment in Fort Lauderdale. Their highly skilled team made the process proceed quite smoothly. The quality of their work was excellent. GC&Ds pricing was competitive. This company worked well with the management office of my cooperative to ensure timely resolution to routine concerns that may occur during any renovation process. It is without reservation I recommend GG&D.

R F Wood & Design LLC, German Carpentry and Woodwork
RF Wood and Design was extremely professional, knowledgeable and willing to work with us. Rasin technical and artistic abilities are the best I've witnessed. He is very easy to work with taking your examples and brings in his expertise. I would recommend him over any cabinet maker in the area.

    M & P Maintenance
I've used Miguel probably 2 dozen times for a huge variety of repair project, big and small. He is always prepared, on time and with a positive attitude and is perfect for 2 man projects. Miguel works quickly and professionally. Even though I could do these projects myself, they would take my entire weekend and drag out the completion time. I'm better off calling Miguel to take care of everything from hanging curtain rods, fans, lighting, fixing plumbing, repairing bathroom tile, painting, sprinkler repairs, fascia repair, changing locks, hanging doors, and designing and building a built in booth table.

he will do my next home
1 year later, i just listed my house on May 2nd.
I got offer on my house 4 days later for full asking price due to kitchen and floors and redesign.
He also fixed anything that might have needed some touch ups like soft touch cabins so he does deliver on the 1 year warranty
highly recommend Kobi and his team.
He is very talented in working with all types of spaces, light, views and more.

    Superior Woodwork Inc
To say we are disappointed in this expensive kitchen refacing is an understatement.  We never tried to get the owner, Winston, down in price, and after interviewing 4 companies and checking the good reviews for Superior, we are shocked with what we now have.  The company was around the same price quote as the others.  This is probably our last kitchen having lived in 6 homes over 50 years of marriage.  We have installed 2 new kitchens, resurfaced another and kept existing kitchens.  This is by far the cheapest quality and worst workmanship.  We probably would have done better by purchasing cabinets from a home improvement store.  And, if you are considering refacing please read on because our story might give you some valuable information.

If you want to reface, make sure the company measures all of your existing boxes.  Winston did not and fitting the drawer and door fronts were and are problematic.  Had we known about our "out of square boxes", we would have put in a new kitchen.  However, we were not the cabinet maker nor the expert.  We now know what we did not then...

Also, make sure your contract spells out EVERYTHING.  We changed our contract slightly since Winston's original was about 3 sentences long...but we should have insisted on one that spelled out everything.  Originally, Winston told us the drawer and door fronts would be manufactured in NC.  When the boxes were brought by his installers  there was absolutely no return address from the manufacturer and that bothered us.  The return address was from Superior.  Were they from China?  USA?  They were from Florida and more about that company later.

Things started out great.  The company arrived on the scheduled day and all went well (raising cabinets) for the most part.  The boxes that Superior made were okay however, the top was open with wood cross pieces.  We pointed this out because of concern that things would get jammed and they do.  We are quite neat so this doesn't happen frequently, but it has happened.

After raising the cabinets, the new drawers arrived.  These drawers were made by Winston's company.  We were absolutely shocked that the drawers were glued and stapled.  What custom cabinet company provides drawers like that?  Home improvement stores do but not a company that builds custom cabinets.  NEVER were we told or given the choice for dove tail drawers.  We would have gladly paid for dove tail.

Next, the doors and drawer fronts were delivered in those non-address boxes.  As they were being installed, we noticed numerous blemishes including permanent marks from the corrugated shipping boxes in the paint. 14 out of 28 doors had to be replaced....and were reordered.  Now we are in October and this was supposed to be a one week job.  We told Winston to check the new ones that had just arrived at his shop...he did and THEY were damaged.  And, we were told the manufacturer would not rush new ones.  Sometime during this time, we noticed that the new panels on the refrigerator did not line up and the freezer panel was not wide enough showing the brown board that the panel is attached to.  We called Winston and he was going to fiddle with it.  The installation of those panels was very sloppy.

We sent a text on Dec. 1 about getting this job finished.  And shortly after that, we got a text saying that new doors had arrived and that they were "pretty good", but there were still damaged ones.  We called the manufacturer of the door and drawer fronts out of sheer frustration, Designers Choice Cabinetry ( in Rockledge, FL, telling our story and asking what was going on with their quality control?  They were very indifferent and said  they were sorry after we told them we would not continue this fiasco with them.  Also, their rep told us the drawer/door fronts were packed before the paint could cure.  Bottom line - they really did not care. And getting Winston to give us the name of the cabinet company was an issue. He first gave us a different name that made no sense...we had to demand the name.  Finally, we sent a letter to Winston/Superior stating we were done; we were keeping the final payment of $4500 severing our relationship with them.  BUT  we are stuck with these damaged doors and drawers and ill-fitting refrigerator panels.

As to Superior's workmanship, the installation of the drawer fronts is very poor.  We have multiple holes where there should be only one on each side because his installer blindly screwed into the face panel.  He never measured where to put the screws, so the holes are not even nor were washers installed.  Even home improvement stores do that!  Some door fronts were crooked due our existing boxes that were not square and WE suggested ways to straighten them.  A new handle was broken because of screwing too tight and too fast.  The list goes on and on and every time we get into the freezer we notice the panels don't line up.

Fortunately, we had our own plumber (from Angies List) do the sink plumbing.  Superior did supply an excellent electrician,  tiler and granite/sink installer.  Superior understands quality work but not when it comes to their work.

We have since had another contractor complete this job.  He showed us some very shoddy work done by Superior installers... areas that were hidden.  To straighten doors he had to reinstall hinges, add more support to the panel in front of the kitchen sink, etc. He spent about 13 hours to get it right.  Finally,  we can put this fiasco behind us.

    Villa's Construction & Remodeling Inc
This is the second house that we have used John to remodel.  We purchased a bank owned home that needed some repairs and some additional work to make the house our home.  His cabinet  and granite work is impeccable.  John and his crew are punctual, trustworthy, and perfectionists!  I would definitely use them again.

    The Closet Wizzard Inc
Matthew and team did a GREAT job with the consultation, design and installation of the closets.  Matthew was very helpful in determining layout and knowing what would work best given some nuances with the larger walk-in closet (e.g. had an air return duct through the back wall/floor).  Based on the dimensions to work with, he was able to quickly advise how to best use the space we had.  I would have no idea had I been left to the "DIY" units available at Home Depot (e.g. our reach in is about 10 inches deeper than a normal closet, he designed two floor to ceiling shoe racks on each side that would benefit from the extra space).
He really understands what works and what doesn't given his many years in the business.  I have no doubt the design was the best it could possibly be.
The lead installer was very professional and helpful especially since our house was older and had a few weird angles and such given the many renovations/improvements over the years - especially in the laundry room.  They cleaned the units, covered the screw holes, caulked when needed, etc to make it look really professional.
You immediately notice the construction is very substantial as they use 3/4" boards, nice solid metal hardware, etc.
My guess is we doubled our usable space in these three rooms and the laundry room is no longer an eyesore and the closets look great.  I have no doubt we will get our money back on these when it comes time to sell AND get to enjoy them every day.
Not sure how I made it so long without having premium, yet cost effective, closets...  Will not hesitate to call them for my next project.

Lasker's Fine Cabinetry & Carpentry Inc
This was a complex job tearing out cabinetry below a sink that had been inundated with water, the job required cutting a granite top, removing sink, faucets, dishwasher, stove, garbage disposal, trash compacter, taking out the old flooded cabinets, replacing the gypsum board behind the cabinets and building new cabinets that matched the existing ones.  Overall I'm satisfied with the work done, Brett works alone and is a pleasant person to work with, he works very professionally and his cabinetry work is top notch.  I would have given him an A except that the work took much longer than I expected and that the price kept going up as the project went along.  The final price was over 50% above the original estimate of $4,000.  I would work with him again, but get him committed to a price and get him committed to deadline.  I do need to mention that the final price also included some other odd jobs that he handled while he was there, these were built into the final price but never detailed, but I would guess that these additional jobs probably added $1,000 to the final bill.
