  • My purpose in writing this review is twofold, o express my sincere gratitude to the agent who helped me find a safe lovely rental property for my mother and to provide a helpful resource for anyone facing the nightmare of looking for a Florida rental property online. My mother is a retired professional with a stellar credit history and a healthy bank account. One would think it would be easy to find her a nice home in a decent neighborhood, to rent while she decided where she wanted to live permanently. It wasn't! One thing about the Florida real estate market has not changed since the economic meltdown. It is still full of sharks, scammers, and slum peddlers of every sort. Every major site that offers rentals is packed with scammers looking for victims. One could waste whole months searching online for a suitable rentals, to little end but serious risk taking and wasted trips. I know I did. The harshest lesson, one you need to commit to memory, is never contact a property owner not associated with a real estate agency you can confirm without first doing a google search on the property address and the name and contact information. Eventually, you will get fed up and make your way to a listing agent at a property management division of a well known company. That's how i found Lorraine, at a Coldwell Banker office's rental division, Sunstar Morris Realty. From our first conversation, I found Lorraine to be professional, knowledgable, and extremely considerate. I had loads of questions for her, and she was very patient and thorough in answering them, understanding how important it was for me to see my mother safely situated. It took quite a bit of work on her part-- work she took on despite the fact that the listing we were interested in was not one of her own. In other words, she was doing all that work for the sake of team spirit and genuine concern for someone who had asked her for help-- without a commission. That's the kind of person you want on your side in a difficult situation: someone who listens, someone with a lot of experience, someone who sees you as a person rather than just a payee. Thank you so much, Lorraine, for everything you did for us. You're not just good at what you do. You're a genuinely good person. The Florida real estate market is as flush with sharks as the sales market was five years ago. The internet is their Great Barrier Reef. It is thanks to Lorraine and her team that I was finally able to find my mother a home, in a beautiful gated neighborhood, from which she can safely search for something permanent. I wish I could go back in time and contact her before we started looking online. We would have saved ourselves several months of frustration. At the very least, maybe this review will help someone in a similar position and spare them some of the mishaps and frustration we went through

  • PLEASE BEWARE - DO NOT USE OR TRUST THIS GUY - TOOK OUR MONEY AND RAN
    I made a HUGE mistake by trusting Mike Feheely, the owner and primary employee of this so called company. We were looking for a company to manage our lawn care and maintenance on an annual contract basis. This involved trimming all of our trees, and spraying our yard (which are rocks) for weeds. He talked me into paying in advance, by giving us a discount on the annual costs. I was an idiot and fell for it. He did a small amount of work on our yard in the first week to make it seem like he wasn't a total FRAUD. They showed up fairly quickly and started the first tree trimming, but only did half the work and would disappear for days. I would have to call constantly and finally they came back, but still didn't finish the job. They never actually finished everything they said they would, and what work that they did do, was poor (compared to other people we have used). Soon he stopped answering and responding to all of my calls. At this point he has taken over $1,000 of our money and ran with it. I am now stuck looking into legal recourse.

    It's hilarious that Mike has the nerve to try and justify breaching the contract because he thinks he lost money. What Mike doesn't realize is a contract is a legally binding agreement, and he doesn't get to pick and choose whether or not he fulfills his obligation under the contract. If he lost money, it is because he is not good at his business, but that does not mean he is entitled to take my money and discontinue providing the services that were paid for in advance. Mike is going to get the opportunity to make his case to a judge, and we'll see what happens there. 

    Please save yourself a lot of time and trouble and DO NOT use this provider. Mike is obviously untrustworthy and he just made that point in his response.
