    after some initial communications issues, things went pretty well. The countertops were beautifully made. They used birch plywood as the substrata for a very modest price addition instead of particle board and the construction was absolutely flawless. The installation had a couple of issues which were identified and resolved. The installation crew were VERY professional and wife and kid appropriate. Michael O'Connor, the owner, generously made an additional backsplash for the oven at no charge when we added this to the contract.

    They are courteous, efficient and clean up after themselves. They also have their own tools to do the service, rather than borrowing ours. They are excellent. The salesmen who came out were courteous. They looked at the size of our house and the number of windows and were thorough in making sure the right size unit was installed. Our electricity bill had dropped significantly since installing this new unit. They were price very competitively. They called to let us know when they had a vehicle breakdown, so we would know they were going to be delayed.

    Geek Squad - Best Buy
    I got a new washer, dryer, dishwasher, fridge, and microwave. They brought the wrong microwave multiple times but finally got the right one after about a month. The price was good and they had everything in stock. The people in the store weren't very professional except for one particular lady, she fixed the problems with the microwave and refunded my shipping costs.

    JESSUP'S APPLIANCES
    We went into this location to purchase a NON high efficiency, NON Whirlpool manufactured, washer and dryer.  We did not not want Whirlpool as they would not stand behind our high-end Cabrio that had rusted, and also we had a problem with a brand new Whirlpool dishwasher that had a computer component that keep shorting---and  the DEALER eventually replaced the part for free---not Whirlpool. I  also explained to the salesman we wanted a Non high efficiency model so that I could control the water level manually.
    We are new to the area and had originally ordered from Home Depot, but Jessups could deliver a week sooner than Home Depot, so we cancelled the order and purchased from Jessups, even though they were more expensive.  They arrived on time and the delivery people were very pleasant.  When I questioned them as to why they were using a plastic vent as opposed to the metal one I have always had, they told me plastic was better as it was more flexible.  Every website says metal is preferred and that was what Home Depot had sold us.  I was in a rush as the house was filled with workman, so I didn't have time to argue.
     When I turned the washer on I was dismayed to find it filled only 3/4 full, leaving the clothes sitting above the water level.  I immediately called the store and was told my salesman would call me back, but I could put in a service call.  I called GE and they told me that  their washers don't fill to cover the clothes anymore due to energy concerns.  I don't care about energy, I care about clean clothes.  After not hearing from the salesman, we flew home.  I waited two weeks for a return call, and called again, only to be told by a salesman that the washer can clean just as well in a half empty tub!!   Obviously, this guy doesn't do 7-10 loads of wash a week. I told them I was very unhappy, and  asked how were they going to help me, as Home Depot would take it back in a heartbeat.  NADA. ZERO.ZILCH.
      Now, I have to carry 3 to4 dishpans of water across the room to fill the tub, each and every time I do a wash. I would never buy another appliance from Jessups

    Big Lots
    I brought the things I had bought from Big Lots home and tried the steam mop. The handle of the steam mop wouldn't stay together and I took it back and got my refund and the next day, I hooked up the hose to water my gardens and I turned on the water and not 2ft from me, there was a big hole and I had to return it. That was my only complaint. I have bought garden tools from there but they weren't good quality, they have some good deals but I haven't had good luck with them.They don't have enough cashiers so you have to wait by the desk.

    I had to return the gas tank that I bought from Sears because the lid wouldn't open and I also had to return the weed raker but other than that, they are very courteous and I got my money back.I found out something interesting about Sears, If you buy on the internet, their stuff is cheaper because if you buy at the store, their employees earn only USD 6 per hour plus they get a commission, so they try selling more on the internet instead of paying their employees. Their employees are very good. I am satisfied with the lawn mower, the gas tank had a new regulator cap to it and I tried everything to open it and so did they and then I just decided to get it somewhere else. I usually have my auto oil change done by them so I will continue using them.

    I have used The Home Depot several times but the one complaint that I have is that I bought a gas grill that was too large to transport in my car, so I paid them USD 75 and I was told that it would be delivered and dropped next to my garage door. When I moved in, I had bought a washer and drier and the truck came right up to the garage and they connected everything but they refused to come up the drive way when delivering the gas grill and they dragged it up all the way and the gas grill was dirty and scratched and so I called them up and because it was scratched, they gave me a USD 20 discount, but I never saw it on my card other than that, I am satisfied with them. The customer service is sometimes good and sometimes bad. I was really upset with the incidence because I would have rented a truck for a cheaper amount. Their prices are reasonable.My problem was the price of the delivery and then the appliance gets dragged up the driveway.

    Jessup's has wonderful showrooms with very helpful knowledgable sales people. They can advise you on what you really need for your situation. Their pricing is competitive with the big box stores, only they pretty much have the appliances you need on hand and can get them to you very quickly. I would rather buy from the local business than the big box stores. We are remodeling our kitchen and replacing the appliances. I am buying the rest of my appliances from Jessup. Highly recommend.

    He worked for quite awhile. Tried to get GE to help but couldn't get them to answer the phone.
    Finally estimated that the circuit board was bad an repair would cost an additional $300.
    The Angie's List coupon only applied to parts and he had never heard of it.
    We decided to put the money towards a new washer. He recommended a Whirlpool or Maytag.
    The only bad part of the visit was he recommended Badger Bob's for replacement washer.
    The visit to the showroom was definitely not worth the trip. They only had three top-loading washers and they appeared pretty high priced. What really got us was the sales person (receptionist?) just walked off and left us. She was gone a long time even though we could her her in a back room. We Just Left.
