Great. Andrew and his team did multiple jobs for me: drywall repair and texturing/painting. Some electrical work. Installed kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Tile backsplash in kitchen. Laminate flooring throughout house. Exterior included soffitt repairs and painting. Also painted garage doors and front doors. Installed several lights. I've recommended them to people at work as well. Would definitely hire again.

I don't have the words to thank you for doing such a beautiful job on my bathroom remodel. All the horror stories I heard from some of my neighbors who had remodeling done in their homes did not hold water. The house was taped up to stop the spread of dirt and it did. The crew was on time each day and when they were done each day, they cleaned up and put their stuff away. They were all pleasant and a pleasure to have in my home. The work done was exemplary. I had a mental picture of what the finished bathroom would look like and what you did far exceeded my expectations. I have recommended One of a Kind Carpenter to many of my neighbors and I know they would be delighted with your work. Thank you for a wonderful job and a stunning result. Bobbie Starr

Owner Greg came to my house on April 6, seemed nice enough, and promised a quote in a few days. I sent him an email on April 13 asking for quote. No reply. I called a few days later and he said he was having computer issues and would have quote ready later that day. About a week goes by and he gives me a quote on April 24 for windows I didn't want and said he was giving me cheaper windows as a comparison and would send the quote for the ones I wanted later. However, the written quote was only a breakdown of material. I sent an email the next day asking for the correct windows as well as information on repairs to drywall or sills if necessary, and whether they would repair wood rot if they discovered it during install. I also asked about whether he handled all the inspections and permits. I asked about labor warranty, how long install would take, and whether it included clean up and trash haul away. I also asked about payment options. He stopped responding after that. I can only assume he has something to hide? Either way, it wasted both our time.

Our interior doors are nonstandard so they needed to be measured and cut precisely. He did an excellent job with both. It didn't hurt that he was a fine gentleman, the kind you like after some brief conversation. He showed me the receipts. I saved time and money by buying my own doors, but he would have done so as part of his hourly rate without upcharging for materials. These guys have a 3 hour minimum on their hourly rate so make sure you have a big item or enough small ones to fill the time.

    JB Total Construction Inc
Josh and Mike are very hard workers that were at our house every day early and leaving late. They are fairly priced and once they agree on a price, they are detail oriented and work to do it right. I had many Pinterest ideas and they replicated so many of them from the pantry shelves, a utensil drawer, a hairdryer drawer with electrical so it can always stay plugged in, cookie sheet shelves, peg drawers for plates and bowels, sliding barn door, and a few more. Overall, we had a great deal of work and were in a tough spot from out last contractor. Josh and Mike worked with a challenging situation by picking up where another left off and worked very hard to make it great! I would definitely recommend JB Total Construction.

Salesman was responsive until he had the money, then became hard to pin down. Gave misleading info and to compensate, was told i would get a visa card, but it never happened. Installers refused to make any adjustments, preferring to leave it to Service Dept. Service Dept is the best thing about them. The product is supposed to be sound suppressing, but I still hear trucks rumbling, dogs barking, etc. Also, it took months for the right order to arrive.

There were mistakes made and some things I wasn't happy with. They installed the wrong configuration of doors but they offered discounts because of that. The doors themselves ended having a portion of the weather stripping which wasn’t sealing against the door and the installer was unhappy to come out and do the repair.

I had hired Steve previously and was glad to wait until he could come do some relatively small projects. He came with his son Justin, and they got the jobs done in about half a day. The largest task was to assemble a kitchen island, including sanding and staining the butcher block top. They also assembled two bar stools. The kitchen light hung too low to use with the island, so they shortened the chain and adjusted the wire. In addition, Justin changed the light bulb in an outdoor pendant light that hung to high for me to reach it even using a ladder, and they fixed an outdoor lounge chair for me. As always, Steve was exceptionally pleasant, and Justin was, too,

    Precision Door Service
Blake was  running about 15 minutes late but he called in ADVANCE of the scheduled arrival time to let me know if I needed to adjust my schedule.  He arrived, evaluated what I wanted and needed, then made several recommendations with pricing and I made the final choices. He had all the necessary parts on the truck, immediately went to work and completed the job.  Both doors operated like new doors.  I found Blake to be pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. Given past unpleasant vendor experiences, I definitely would use Precision again and recommend them to anyone needing new garage doors or repairs.

I contacted Steve because he did a great deal of high-quality work for me last summer. I had been very pleased with that work, so I felt comfortable hiring him for these projects without asking for a written estimate or calling anyone else for a bid. For me, quality work and smooth processes are more important than the lowest price. He chose the deck stain (he is excellent at choosing good colors, ones that I would not have picked but turn out to be exceptional), chose to apply it by brush rather than spray it on (it is a very small deck), and attached two lights that I had purchased, one on each side of the garage. The lights that had been there were old and corroded, which presented some challenges but Steve obviously knew what he was doing and quickly found solutions to all of the installation challenges. He came back the next morning with a ladder tall enough so he could hang the pendant light, which also was challenging to hang but Steve figured it all out. That second afternoon I saw that that when the deck dried it did not look good, The stain was much darker in some areas than others, and there were a few places that looked like there was no stain at all. I called Steve, said I could not give him an awesome Angie's List review because the price was too high for what was accomplished because the deck did not look good. He said he would be out to put another coat on the deck--this was not surprising at all because wood absorbs stain differently and two, even three coats are often necessary. Indeed, several days later he put on another coat, did not charge me more for either his labor nor the stain, and now the deck and the price match my expectations.
