    Rich arrived on time as always to tune our piano and replace a broken string. He has tuned and repaired our piano several times. He does not use an electronic tuning device, he uses his ear and really knows what he's doing. He does much more than tuning. You do not have to worry about finding someone who can repair your piano - he does all that - string replacement, cleaning, reconditioning. He also plays professionally, which adds to his expertise and reputation as a technician. We will always call him with any piano issue.

    Havertys - Wesley Chapel
    I purchased a leather couch at Havertys Furniture near I-75 and Rt. 56 in Wesley Chapel, Florida. It was delivered on October 29, 2016. In less than three weeks, the cushion bottomed out. When I purchased the couch the seat was comfortable. Now when I sit down, I feel the hard base below the cushion. The store refuses to take the sofa back saying they have a three day return policy only! I am out of luck. In my opinion, you cannot get to really feel comfortable with a purchase in three days. The cushion took longer than that to wear down. I would never recommend Havertys Furniture with a policy like that. I do not remember the sales manager, Scott Heathcoate, which sold me the couch ever saying anything about a three day policy.

    I scheduled a tuning through a Big Deal on Angie's list ($99 for tuning). Richard arrived on time and went straight to work. We have had technicians in the past who relied on an electronic device to tune the piano, and they weren't able to do much of anything else except the tuning. Richard tuned the piano by ear the way musicians and piano tuners have done it for centuries. He is a very knowledgeable professional whom I will call again as well as recommend to others.

    Macys Mattress Dept (2201 University Mall Court)
    We stopped by the Macy's mattress department by chance.  We hadn't planned on buying.  We were just looking for low pressure shopping.  We wanted to avoid those high pressure mattress stores.
    The salesman took his time with us, explaining the benefits etc of all the options.   He gave us a price quote based on a sale that was about to start in a week.
    We came back a year later asking for the mattress and the price.  He outlined the options given the department's sales times.   For accessories (frame) he went through the options at the store but said we might discover other lower prices elsewhere - encouraging us to explore and decide on our own.  
    It was a surprisingly pleasant experience.  If you need a mattress, stop by Macy's at University Mall.

    My air conditioner would not cool the house or provide any cooling at all. I called Sonny's Discount Appliances because my neighbor who lives a few doors down worked there at the time. When I called for someone to inspect my system, an appointment was made for the next day. A gentleman arrived and after a brief discussion, he said that I needed a new system as the home was built in 1996 and the unit was already fifteen years old and fixing it would just mean more expensive problems in the not-to-distant future. So I had them install a new heat pump system to replace the old one. The job was completed and the Sales/Installer left with the words and quot;If you have any problems, just give us a calland quot;. The receipt says One year labor and ten years parts. (See attached photo of receipt).

    The outside compressor started making noise the other day and the evaporator in the garage started leaking. I called for service and all they could say was and quot;If we don't find anything wrong, you will be charged for a service calland quot;. Someone will call you back to set up an appointment. Same disclaimer: and quot;If we don't find anything wrong, you will be charges for a service calland quot;. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.... It seems that the warranty doesn't cover labor.

    I spoke with my neighbor who used to work there. and quot;Oh no!and quot; he said. and quot;I wish that you had checked with me before you called them. They're the last place that you want to buy fromand quot;! WHAT? I won't repeat the rest of the things he told me. It wouldn't be fair to the company. I'll stick with first hand experiences.

    So far, the unit hasn't been in a year and already I'm getting grief from the installer. Would I deal with them again? No. Not with their attitude. They couldn't do enough when they were delivering the sales pitch, but like so many fly-by-night companies I've dealt with in the past, the hand is always out if you have a problem. Whether this company turns out to be that type of business or not, I will let you know next week when the service tech comes by. Until then the above has been my experience. Stay tuned.

    UPDATE: I made an appointment for Monday 5/7/12. I tried to set a time and was told that the service department would contact me on Monday morning. No call. I called them and left a message. No return call. I called again at around 10AM. Salesman said he couldn't do anything. Service people already left. Unprofessional and inconsiderate. Service man got here around noon. He said that the drain line was clogged and proceeded to clean it out. Said to pour a cup of bleach in the drain once a month and it should stay clear. Why didn't they say that when they installed the unit? As far as the noisy unit goes, he said that after about a year the unit gets a lot more noisy. Really?!!! I wonder why they didn't tell me that when they installed the new unit? Another $91.00. bill (See attached). They would NOT honor warranty. My recommendation for anyone considering Sonny's Discount Appliance is DON'T DO IT!!!

    I have used them extensively for doors, tiles, bathroom products and other construction products. I only buy products from them because I have an electrician who does the fixing. They usually have the products available, and that is why I like the most because I don't have to run from place to place looking for what I need. They have a loading service, and they load the products that I purchase in the truck and I don't have to it myself. I would use them in the future.

    Had been looking for 2 sets of 'long twin' box springs and mattresses at a number of stores but the better ones seemed to be more expensive than we wanted and the ones in our target price range were not of desired quality. Reviews on Angie's List led us to check out the closest location of Bed Pros which was Wesley Chapel. The store had a number of display models and they could arrange delivery the following day. While the prices were not "bargain basement", we thought they offered a good quality mattress for the money. Their bed frames for long twin were also reasonable priced so we purchased them at the same time.
