Interior Painting reviews in Saint Johns

    Affordable Actions
They did most of the work on the ceiling and interior painting. I paid he with the thought of finishing paying him once the cabinet doors and drawers were done. He took the doors and drawers to a shop to complete. He wont return them He wont return my texts or calls. Its been over a month and the work I paid for is not complete and I dont have my cabinet doors and drawers.

    Ibis Painting
Based on their positive online reviews we contacted IBIS to quote a small interior paint job and our front entrance door. Initially Timothy Spence was very responsive to our inquiry. He came to our house on Wednesday 10/3 and gave us a $795 proposal based on us supplying the paint. When we gave him the go ahead he told us that they might be able to do the job as early as Friday 10/5 or the following week. He said he would call by Friday to confirm the work schedule. When we did not receive a call or email from IBIS we called and left messages on 10/10 and again on 10/12. Next we sent emails on 10/14 and 10/17. We never received a response.

    House Doctor Construction LLC

Painting took much longer than they indicated it would, had to come back multiple times to paint areas that they missed or had done poorly, mediocre job at best, and worst of all they used tape on our hardwood floors when they put down drip paper that stripped the finish off of the floors!   Now having to refinish them to repair the damage.

The "project manager" who has no project management skills whatsoever, rarely if ever showed up for meetings at the agreed upon time, and we constantly had to re-answer questions from her that we had previously answered in person or by email.

When they came in to redo the electrical in the rental apartment downstairs, they put in wall plugs without asking, which now have to be moved based upon our remodeling plans.

Paid them $1,500 for "blueprints to submit for the remodeling permits", and what we received were nothing close to professional grade.

We asked them to put together bids for replacing our old interior doors and front windows, and had to ask multiple times to see the breakdown on their proposed pricing; when we finally did receive a breakdown we saw immediately why they were balking at giving us the detail as they had marked up the windows and labor by 40% profit.

    We fired them that day.

Bottom line, they didn't do what they said, they did shoddy work, and they stepped up to do things that they had no experience doing.

    Kitchen Solutions
These guys (Paul and Steve) have a great reputation...and after working with them on a complete remodel, I have to say it's well deserved. They arrived on schedule and completed the demolition on  time? All the old cabinets as well as the drywall was removed out to the studs.  Next day the drywall guys showed up and got right to work, finished and cleaned up before I knew it. Their tile guy came the next morning, and replace several tiles to accommodate the new footprint. Didn?t take long, and like everyone else, he cleaned up the area before he left.  Next day the drywall guys showed up and got right to work, finished and cleaned up before I knew it.  Paul and Steve were back the next morning to install the cabinets?and the project started to really come together? We had wanted to paint the wall before the cabinets went up, but the mud just wouldn?t cooperate?not a big deal, and really didn?t bother us as we were more interested in getting the project completed.
Accuracy and attention to detail are the best ways to describe how they approached the cabinets, ensuring everything was plumb, and level?the doors went on and were aligned to absolute perfection?Counter tops were next and the following morning the granite guy arrived and made the template?then there was the inevitable lull in progress while we had to wait for the granite fabrication, but it was only three days?not that bad at all?Friday saw the granite installation?again, another item that went well?Plumbing was completed with the reinstallation of the dishwasher and new disposal in the under mount sink?next (after a very brief delay) the glass tile backsplash was installed and the following day it was grouted?start to finish was just over two weeks?and we are very happy with the outcome?not one single complaint or misstep.  All of the people that worked on our kitchen were professional, courteous, and friendly.   We had some reservations before the project started, hoping we had made the right choice?they weren?t the cheapest, but we are more than pleased with the outcome?and highly recommend them.

    A New Leaf Painting, LLC
New Leaf Painting- This was an excellent experience from start to finish. The estimate was professional and easy to read. They kept in contact with me daily and gave me a recap of the work that was done for the day. The finished product is amazing and priced right.
I would definitely use them again!

    Anastasia Painting
You'd think painting is painting, but what stood out for me was the preparation work before the paint was applied. There was a lot of scraping and priming, which should ensure the job will last. Excellent service.

    Anastasia Painting
Daniel Lewis, owner of Anastasia painting, does business in an honest and professional way, almost unheard of in today's construction industry fraught with big talk and no follow through. After dealing with others who promised much and delivered little, Anastasia Painting was a refreshing change. I cannot stress enough how important trust and professionalism meant to us. Fresh on the heels of a horrible experience in a remodel, we were very gun shy. I made Daniel do everything but leave me his truck as collateral! From the get-go he seemed very determined to prove himself a man of his word and to give us a better experience. Not everyone would be willing to come in behind an experience like ours, out of fear the owner could be difficult to deal with. Daniel didn't flinch; Even when I interrogated him like a police detective. AND...he never went over budget. We finished out writing a check for exactly what he quoted. There were no games. Again, refreshing. The added bonus with Anastasia Painting is the paint crew. They were professional, super hardworking, tidy, punctual and very attentive and considerate of our 1800's-era home. They were a pleasure to have on our property and the attention to detail shows their years of experience. Freddie, Steve, Steve and John are the real deal. You want these guys to paint for you. I am grateful they came and brought out the beauty of this old home in a n absolutely professional way. I greatly respect craftsmen, and they are. My husband and I are indebted to Daniel and his crew for giving us a more positive experience with which to finish out our remodel project. We are 100% satisfied. And then some.

    Got It Covered Painting
The company called promptly to set up an appt. Then closer to appt time, they called to say they needed to reschedule due to time run over on other jobs. On the rescheduled date, they did not call or show up to do the job. When I attempted to contact them, the phone stated they where unavailable, and I was not allowed to leave a message. Called multiple times, but received the same message every time.
