    Halls Gas Services Inc
Pros: Overall they did a timely and functional job that passed the County's permit inspection. Cons: 1) Took 3 or 4 follow up telephone calls for them to respond to my request to set up an installation schedule. 2) They did not make any effort to level out the mound of dirt they generated trenching the 10 foot copper line between the tanks and standby generator. 3) The propane delivery man had to relocate one of the tank top copper lines that had been installed blocking the initial fill vent valve. 4) We were quoted $400 to $450 for the job but was invoiced over $600. Original quote included 3 concrete block bases that were not required since prior to the tank installation we had a mason furnish a custom cast base. Requested an explanation for the higher than quoted price but never received one.

I have Griffin service an maintain my HVAC units in my home. They do such a great work, fair price and very professional. Joey is usually the tech that comes over and he's always great to work with. I highly recommend this company!

    Griffin Service
Working in customer service, I fully understand the importance of "first impressions." As I was shopping around for a repair service to fix my heat pump, I became very frustrated and angry at the responses I was receiving. I felt like I was only a $ and annoying everyone. However, when I called Griffin Services, everything turned around. A young man by the name of Kyle answered the phone, and immediately everything started "going right." Not only was Kyle pleasant, courteous and polite, he was totally professional, informative and helpful. He listened patiently while I explained my situation, and then offered numerous solutions, letting me choose my best course. His knowledge was extensive, and his reassurance was refreshing. He totally "sold" me on his company's ability to help me! However, Kyle's expertise did not stop there. Throughout the whole process - from the first phone call to the completion of the job, Kyle kept in touch with me - making sure that everything was going as it should and that I was ok and satisfied. I highly recommend Griffin Services to any who need skilled, professional help in any of the services that they provide. Kyle not only made an excellent "first impression," he made a "lasting impression!" Thank you, Sir Kyle !!

    Griffin Service
I have always had a hard time finding a AC company I can trust, but that problem has now been solved. Griffin Service will be easy to recommend to my friends and family because of their service and most specifically the work done by Kyle. He spent more time in my attic searching for problem areas I had spoke of than all the other companies combined. The results were immediate and my family can sleep well at night in absolute comfort. I am very thankful and I appreciate his hard work. Thank you so much!

    Griffin Service
My upstairs system started having problems so I called Griffin, whom I have not used before, but came highly recommended. And they did not disappoint, they were at my house for almost two hours thoroughly identifying the problem and discussing my wants/needs as a home owner. The attention to detail really caught me eye, Griffin Service really understands what customer service means. Kyle even helped me put some boxes in the attic that have been too heavy for me to lift. I did not even ask, he offered and I was genuinely taken back by his level of service. It was truly a special experience.

    Griffin Service
Griffin Service is my new go to ac company! Kyle was amazing, he really took the time to help me understand the process of replacing my air conditioner. No one wants to buy a new ac but it has to be done and Griffin made the process feel easy. I honestly felt like Kyle was a friend trying to help me make the best decision possible for my family, he did not try to "sell" me anything. He listened to my concerns, my needs and built a system to fit. Would definitely recommend, ask for Kyle!!!

    First Coast Climate Control
When I was researching alternate central A/C system manufactures online for the best highest efficiency choice multiple reviewers said that total cost was a factor but less important than selecting a highly rated manufacture and a competent installation contractor. My research lead me to a select a Lenox 20.5 SEER 4 ton system and a 22 SEER 2 ton system each with Lenox Pureair photocatalytic oxidation air purification systems and Ultrasmart thermostats. For the installation I selected Certified Climate Control which recently changed their name to First Coast Climate Control. The installed price of $19,777 with a 10 year parts and labor warranty was among the highest we received. Removal of the old functional by lower efficiency 10 year old Carrier systems and installation of the new equipment was all done in a day. If I had to do over again we would insist on a more realistic work schedule. It took the installation crew almost 14 hours from start to finish plus travel time. No one can work that long at peak mistake free efficiency and necessarily complete the entire work scope. In my case I had asked First Coast as part of the job to adjust the duct dampers to more evenly balance the air flow throughout the house. The installers did not have time to do the damper adjustment and never came back to do so. I should have retained a percentage of the contract payment pending receipt of all manuals, warranty paperwork and completion of the entire work scope. First Coast was very responsive prior to receiving the order and did a good job installing the equipment; however, I am very disappointed with their post installation responsiveness. It took over 2 months of multiple emails and telephone calls to get copies of the compressor, air handler and air filter manuals. After the installation the first correspondence from First Coast was a 4/20 email stating that our purchase did not qualify for the Extended Warranty listing 7 reasons none of which made any sense to me. I asked for clarification but never received it. It took 6-1/2 months of multiple emails and telephone calls after the installation to receive any paperwork on the 10 year warranty that was in our contract.

Climate Masters Heating & Air Conditioning Inc
They came out to fix a leak in which the unit needed Freon as well. I paid 840.00 to have my unit fixed only to have it go out days later. I called them back and was told the Freon leaked out of the leak they were paid to fix and that I would need more Freon which would cost more money. I told them no since I was skeptical by this point and felt like i was being swindled. I was irate at this point and wanted nothing to do with them anymore they tried to rook me into buying a brand new unit 4800.00 worth and in return they would put the money I already paid out for them to fix my old unit mind you towards the new one. I ultimately had to buy a new unit but not with them. Also, their customer service is atrocious Kelly being the worst she likes to hang up on anyone who calls with concerns over being ripped off. If you check their BBB status it's an F and for good reason. I submitted a complaint with the BBB and they ignored it, not even an explanation. Hope this helps anyone looking to avoid a bad situation. I have read other reviews from people with the same issue, but don't go to their website since all the reviews are 5 star and impeccable as if put there on purpose. Hope this helps.

    Fahrenheit Propane
They sold me a new regulator, brought out a 100lb tank, installed my regulator, and hooked their tank up to it. They were professional, polite, and arrived exactly when they said they would. Their price is the lowest in St Augustine. Their vehicles, tanks, and equipment/tools are cleaner and nicer looking than some of the other propane companies. They obviously care about their customers, and I will be using their services from now on.

    Courtesy Gas Co Inc
Been doing business with this company for 21 years this December. Called them on Dec 24th to let them know to pick up an empty tank, they said leave it by the gate. Tank was placed inside first set of gates, close to street. Guy shows up this morning (12/26) and takes tank but also proceeds to let himself into my second gate/into my yard, walk around back and take the regulator off of my current tank (from another company) without my permission and with me asking him to leave. The regulator is my property, not one we rented from them. I informed him of that and asked him to leave my property, he refused to leave and got very nasty and threatening, and started yelling and took it anyway. He told me to call his dad - Steve, the owner! I told him I'd call the police if he didn't leave, he told me he was leaving and he wasn't coming back! He then left with the tank and my regulator. He had another guy with him, who had his entire face covered by a baseball cap and bandana, so I literally have no idea what he looked like. I called the police but unfortunately I no longer have the receipt so I'm out of luck. Courtesy Gas will never have my business again, they just lost a 21 year customer.
