    FL's Professional Screening LLC
When the economy is bad, everyone wants to do your job, no matter the size. When the economy is booming, it's hard to find anyone willing to give you the time of day. When I wanted to screen in my garden building porch, I requested quotes from six companies. Three ignored me completely, one sent a note telling me they were too busy. Two gave me bids. I went with Florida Professional Screening, who very promptly answered my initial request, asked a couple of pertinent questions and followed up with a concise and reasonable bid. Within a couple of weeks they had completed the job. The installers were cheerful, professional and did a terrific job. I couldn't be more satisfied and would recommend them without hesitation.

    May Construction
I called May Construction for a quote before checking with Angies List. We were considering replacing old worn-out windows in our older manufactured home with newer design double pane vinyl windows. Steve May was able to find a source and got us a quote for both the standard trailer home type windows and the more expensive energy efficient windows. We were very serious about getting the better windows but after more research and consideration of the economic sense of our situation we decided to go with the standard windows.

After the window order came in we got the call and scheduled the installation.Steve and his crew arrived on time and went right to work. Most of the window installations required some modification of the window framing due to a little difference in the replacement window frame depth. This was unavoidable because the original old window design were not being made anymore. Not really much extra work and there was no extra charge. One window opening had some old wood damage from water leaks in the past. It looked to me like it would need some rebuilding of the wood framing but they were able to install the window without any restoration. They also repaired the inside sill of that window which looked pretty bad in the corner of that window frame. It turned out looking like it was new.
Overall it was a pleasant experience.

    Superior Aluminum Installations Inc
The two crews that did the work ,first the concrete then the aluminum enclosure were very hard working and professional.
The quality of there work is outstanding. Every one in the office and the crews kept us informed about when things were going to
be done. All of the people at Superior Aluminum were very polite and helpful. All the work was done on time, and they were careful to clean up after themselves. I would recommend them.

    ATLAS POOLS
We met with a different salespeople from 3 different central Florida pool builders.  All 3 asked what we were looking for (designs, size, features, etc.). They all took measurements and surveyed the land and the surrounding properties.  They all gave us a computerized 3D image of what it would look like in our yard.  All 3 prices were close.  We choose Atlas pools for a few reasons. 1) the price for everything was slightly cheaper. 2) The salesperson "Steve" was very personable and very professional.  He had experience as a pool builder and was able to give further insight about the process, prices and products because he built and serviced them before selling the service. The other salesmen representing the other companies gave me the impression they were there for one reason and one reason only. Very little conversation.  3) The Atlas Pools brand is a family that can build, service, repair and heat your pool.

It felt that if we needed anything we could use one company and they would not have to sublet out.  When we chose to go with Atlas we traveled to the office to choose our tile and we were introduced to the owner.  Not everyday do you meet the owner of the company. He was in the office working like everyone else. He chatted with us and offered coffee and things like that. We really liked the professionalism and courtesy displayed by the company and its associates.  Atlas Pools arranged to get the necessary permits from the city, HOA, county etc. They even arranged to have our in ground sprinklers re-routed.
For such a large scale project in a residential setting it is nearly impossible to not have delays or issues.  They started building in May.  They were restricted from building on several occasions because of the typical central Florida rain that happens every single day. Not the fault of the builder, we just had a large hole in the ground for longer than we wanted.  The only other issue we had was a new project supervisor was assigned to our project about 1/4 of the way through the work.  We did not know that, and we weren't advised until we called the previous project supervisor and left a message.  Then got a call from the new project supervisor 2 or 3 days later. He explained he took over many of the previous supervisors jobs and had a lot of work to catch up on and follow up on.

We understood however it would have nice to hear from someone telling us our point of contact in the project will be new and to give us a heads up. Not really a big deal though. Because of the rain delays and supervisor change the workers mixed up a plan and a corner of the concrete for our deck was poured prematurely. The problem was caught almost immediately which is why only a small corner was done.  It did not affect anything, not the foundation to the deck or integrity issues otherwise. So I guess you can say "no harm no foul." But it was an eye brow raiser when it occurred.  You can tell a lot about people and companies alike by how they handle their mistakes. I was happily impressed how it was handled. It did not cause a problem. After pool completion they gave us "pool school" which is basically a guy comes and shows you how to work on the pool and how everything works.

We have recommend Atlas Pools to a neighbor and they recently just finished building their pool. They were pleasantly satisfied as well. We received a $300 referral check, which I am not sure if any other pool builder will do.  I still frequently speak to the salesman "Steve" and ask him advice and things about the pool.  Even though, I am sure he collected his commission on the sale, he will take the time to talk with me about the pool.  Which, to me, is a great representation and ambassador to Atlas Pools. We were sold on Atlas because of "Steve" and the company. We felt like we were buying from a friend. A friend that did not let us down, like some friends can. I am happy we chose Atlas Pools, we have no regrets or buyer remorse.  I would, and have, recommended Atlas Pools to anyone else who asks.
    Thanks

A.P.C. Home Improvement & Painting Co LLC
Andres was very knowledgeable and started job as agreed! Totally repaired my ceiling which had the knock down coming loose all over! Scraped everything and applied mud, smoothed then sanded and applied premium paint as we requested. Very nice finish and my wife and I were very pleased! Upon completion we noticed some small imperfections and Andres returned promptly to fix! Andre takes pride in his work which is why he works alone and we appreciated his attention to detail and his willingness to make sure we were pleased with his work! We would no hesitate to recommend or hire Andres again!

    L ROD SCREENING INC
Luis's estimate for re screening the porch was the lowest of several estimates we obtained. He was responsive, punctual and professional and made every effort to keep our expenses for the unexpected demolition and rebuilding of the wall to a minimum. The entire job, including materials and the originally contracted for re-screening cost a very reasonable $2,200 even though the job that was expected to take him and his assistant less than 2 days ended up taking 7 days to complete. Luis carted off debris from the demolition and always left the work site cleaned up when he left for the day. He and his assistant were extremely polite, respectful and co-operative. They even tried to keep noise to a minimum to accommodate a very ill next-door neighbor of ours. We would not hesitate to hire him again.
