FAS replaced all 18 of our houses windows, and installed a new patio door. Workers were punctual, worked diligently, and did an excellent job! One of the windows came from the manufacturer with a minor fault, and FAS worked quickly to get it fixed without us even asking. We are extremely happy.

Fantastic service and product from start to finish. We visited the show room. The sales rep was very knowledgeable and absolutely no high pressure tactics or up sale. The doors were available fro install well before the promised date. The installers were very professional, they were real craftsmen and did a fantastic job of clean up. We will use in future for windows and front door.

I had (knock on wood) a long term recurring leak issue that presented itself only when the heavy summer rains come through--something that the builder should have taken care of, but unfortunately did what some builders did during the economic depression: fleece the home buyer and left them high and dry by declaring bankruptcy and then reorganizing under another name.  Truth be told, it still makes a vein stand out on my forehead every time I think about it.     Nevertheless, I needed someone competent, timely, and professional to finally end this problem (and tackle some other side tasks), now that it was raining hard enough to see the leak regularly.
Recently , I came across Newley and his crew of professionals through local word of mouth and on Angie's List.  With the economy still recovering (including yours truly), I figured I would look locally first and help support my local community.    After obtaining numerous bids for my project, I ultimately chose C.N. Romack for the following reasons.  Newley, the proprietor, is very genuine and down to earth in his demeanor and very knowledgeable about what my issues were and how they may be resolved.  He really took care of his crew and they all seemed local and were friendly and very professional.    Additionally, he also worked with me on a very fair final price for the intended  project.   And I can attest that there were some contractors who did/would not and in fact over-inflated their bids to laughable proportions.
Newley and his crew were, within reason,  timely in getting all the things done..and done well.   The leak has not since re-occurred and if it does within one year, Newley mentioned he and his crew will come back and investigate further and fix the issue, among the other side tasks performed.  Throughout the whole process, I got to know Newley and some of his crew and I can wholeheartedly say he is an excellent contractor who has a great heart, a sense of comradery, and professionalism to boot.
His word is his bond and throughout it all, he has not broken it once and guarantees his work... to me, a man's word IS his bond and he has definitely upheld that.  As a friendly acquaintance and as a professional, Newley and his crew are top notch and one would be sorely remissed if they do not consider contacting him if considering any projects requiring a contractor.  'Nuff said.

They arrived on time and set to work immediately; we originally had the lower patio screen door on the left side of the wall however the installer suggested that we may want to consider having the door on the right side for proper foot traffic flow. After listening to his suggestion we found his wisdom correct and opted to have the door installed on the right side. He completed his work and left an opening for a right side door, however, he would have to come out the following day with another door that would swing open in this new direction.
We are extremely pleased with the work and installation and greatly appreciate the feedback from the installer in regards to the lower patio door placement.

What started as just wanting a new front door with sidelights turned into a major repair project.  The front door had areas of dry rot from issues with the stone above and around the door.  They had to remove a significant portion of the stone so they could see how bad the damage was.  After getting into the framework, we realized how extensive the damage was.  They ended up having to remove all the stone and stucco above and around the door to the roof.  At this point, Newley took the time to show me the damage and to explain the reasons that we were having the issues in the first place.  They totally reconstructed the front of the house, including dry wall work inside, stone work, stucco work, and frame work.  All of the teams of men that they used were excellent and would recommend each to any needing work done.  Newley, knowing that the cost went up pretty significantly, worked with us the entire way and just wanted to "make sure things were done right".  We have already requested a quote for other work that we need done and have passed his name along to anyone that is interested.

We had researced replacement windows and had found Gorell's impact windows fit our criteria (energy efficiency, storm and personal safety).  And we knew they were going to be expensive.  Then moved on to researching installers using both Angie's List and the manufacturer, which is how we found FASW&D.  Due to our hectic and erratic schedules, we chose to go to the showroom to look at our options.  We were shown samples of each of the windows in the showroom, given product data on the options and taken out back to the warehouse to view alternate samples.  We had with us copies of the house floor plans with all dimensions and elevations to assist with the estimate without a site visit.  FASW&D worked up three estimates for us pricing different impact window options and manufacturers.  After reviewing for several days and comparing our options, we went with the Gorell windows even though they were more expensive.  Stuart worked with me via emails and phone calls to get all of our documentation handled electronically, which was a huge help.

Once we confirmed what we wanted, the installers (Gary and Steve) came out to take final measurements before ordering.  Gary then gave us a call when the windows were delivered to the shop to coordinate installation with us.  From placing the order, scheduling the final measurements, fabrication to delivery, the whole process only took 8 weeks even though it fell across the Nov-Dec-Jan holidays.  I've worked in the general contracting business for 20 years, and that's pretty impressive.

But the part that made the most impact on our family was the installation.  Gary, Steve and Ed did a fantastic job!  They were professional and courteous, not to mention patient.  Our 2-year old daredevil son and dog were part of their team during much of the installation in spite of our best efforts.  The installation took seven days due to the weather, the very heavy weight of the windows, and the number of them on the second floor.  Gary and his crew worked with our entire family's erratic schedules during that time.  They cleaned as they went and never left a mess either inside or out.  And the work they did on the windows was great.  They started with a quality product, but put it over the top with their attention to the installation.  They get raves on their finish product from both me (20 years construction experience) and my brother-in-law (5+ years commercial & custom window installer).

Overall, couldn't be happier with both FAS Windows & Doors and Gary's crew.  The windows were expensive, but we feel we really got our money's worth in both quality of product and craftsmanship.
