I also have a sleep disorder which is aggravated by the annual change to Daylight Savings Time. I told her it was worse than usual this year, and that I wanted to go from 5mg. Dextroamphetamine to 10 mg. dailey* ( which my Primary Care physician had given me the previous month and which I had taken before) she implied that I was a drug abuser and began to write furiously in her log. She paid no attention to me as I was describing how debilitating a condition akin to permanent jet lag this was, and how this was adversely affecting my quality of life and ability to work. Wonder what was in the log.
The lady has no empathy with her patients, and considers it to be just a business. Won't take debit cards, as she does not want to pay the debit card charges. Her waiting room is festooned with signs such as: and quot; You will be charged an additional $75 if you are late and have not called aheadand quot;; and and quot;Supplementary insurance is not accepted and payment is due at the time service is rendered.and quot; The list goes on here.
*Your classic amphetamine diet pill is 20 mg. dailey.

I have seen Dr. Agresti for quite a while for anxiety disorder/depression. Treatment has been very successful. For the first time in my life, I am functioning normally.
After a serious accident, I became addicted to narcotic painkillers. Dr. Agresti helped me detox with a lot less discomfort than would have otherwise been the case.
He knows his field and is up on the latest treatments.

Dr. Sheikh is very caring and personable.  She is willing to spend more time with her patients than the typical "fifteen minute appointment".
She only prescribes medication that she is sure will be consistent with your health status (liver problem, some meds not recommended).
Sometimes the wait is a little longer than I would like, but again, it is because she spends the necessary time that the individual patient requires.

I've been going to Dr. Mason for the past 5 years or so for sleep study as I have sleep apnea. I also had fibromyalgia, so this summer when I came completely apart in terms of muscle strength and energy, i chalked it up to the worst flare up of fibro ever. That i was in *such* bad shape wasn't lost on me, but my rheumatologist was at a loss as to what to do. On and off double vision meant only see the eye doctor.
It came time for the "meet and greet" that precedes the sleep study, and when i came in, I thought Dr. Mason was going to faint. I didn't think I looked that bad, but he obviously did.
To make a long story somewhat shorter, he showed me how my eyelids were at half mast, had me resist his downward pressure on my arms and legs (resist? Yeah, right!), which freaked me out. I was born on a horse, and to have no legs was beyond shocking and frightening.
I was given a small IV injection, we talked for a minute, and then re-did the resistance thing again. The man was sweating trying to get that leg down! Score 1 for me! Had me walk down the hallway, and I realized my energy had come back, my balance, even the "fibro" pain was leaving. Unfortunately, it only lasted a few more minutes and then was gone. Diagnosis? Myasthenia gravis, a somewhat rare auto-immune neuromuscular disease. There's no cure, it's progressive, but there are drugs to help control it. It can also strike the muscles of the ribcage (it's limited to skeletal muscles, those that you consciously use)causing what they call "myasthenia crisis" where your breathing becomes impaired, or stop entirely. As far as I'm concerned, the man saved my life!
Now, about Dr. Mason himself. First, you have to like Doo-W**, 50s music. He himself is an amazing little man, very, very bright. He can take a little bit of getting used to, but he cares deeply about his patients, as does the staff. Can't get any better than that.

I feel the wait was longer then I anticipated. I asked at the window (which was kept closed most of the time) why it was taking so longand why several people who came in after me were going before me. I was told that they were there for experimental research treatments and were seeing one of the other doctors. There are apparently 6 physicians at this site. When I finally got to see Dr. Stone, I found him very engaging and thorough in his taking of my history and complaints. He did an EMG in the office (that I didn't know my insurance was not covering completely) and ordered two MRI's for my Brain and Neck. On the follow up visit he told me that my Brain tumor was not regrowing thus far, and that he felt my headaches were a result of bunched muscles surrounding my neck and shoulder area. There was some arthritic degeneration and some cord compression/stenosis but nothing to worry about apparently. He recommended that I see an Chiropractor.

He is really good and I have seen him for many, many years. He is a down to Earth doctor, he takes the time to listen to you, and the staff is very friendly. The only bad thing I can say about him is that he over books and you have to wait awhile. Sometimes there is a 30 or 40 minute waiting time, but he is worth seeing so I keep going to him. My insurance covers it so I don't deal with billing.

Heather Carr really does a fantastic job, she really listens to you, hears all the different issues, and works with you in terms of writing out the appropriate counseling and medications. The office is clean and the staff is friendly.

Dr. Kato was willing to see me over her lunch hour.  She didn't have to do that.  That impressed me.  She was able to prescribe medicine to help me with my stress.  It's been a couple of weeks and I've improved.  I think she's great, and I want everyone to know it.

I have been going to to see Heather Carr on and since 2004. She has helped me tremendously! I find her to be genuinely concerned. Even going as far as calling you to make sure all is well. Highly recommend!

Dr. Theiss is friendly and very knowledgeable about medications, but I am left with three negative impressions. First, I feel that she is barely keeping up with my case history and does not keep organized notes. Based on experience from many sessions, she easily loses track of my particular issues and, most troubling, my medication history. I find myself repeatedly refreshing her on details. Second, I get the impression that she is solely focused on prescription solutions. She rarely asks questions about my feelings and hardly ever offers guidance other than what pill to take. I know this is largely the function of a psychologist, but there should be some integration of cognitive therapy with her pharmaceutical therapy. Finally, I often feel she is not sympathetic or interested in my issues. It seems like she quickly "wanders off" when I discuss issues/concerns. This is often followed by interruption and a broad generalization about my issue. Of course, these are common characteristics of over-worked doctors, but they really stand out with Dr. Theiss.
