  • First visit with pa to chat.  I went for blood work, second visit was to discuss blood work, charge for office visit. asked when i would see doctor for physical, so they scheduled me with doctor, blood pressure and weight, no physical.  said they don't do them.  very confused.  dirty office. asked to measure my height, cause I am almost 60, for a base line to check in the future, but they said they don't have anything to do that.  My family history includes severe osteoporosis.  found it strange that they don't have the equipment.  I can't seem to find any other doctor taking new patients, so I am stuck. I will have to use them again, cause there is no where else to go.  very disappointed with all health care i have received here in Florida. Certainly not like up north. They would not address all my issues that I was having.  Also the staff were not dressed in what I would call a clean and professional manner.

  • Dr. Mercer, Signature Healthcare, is a "member" based health provider. He accepts a limited number of patients on a yearly fee basis. This keeps waiting times to a minimum, and access and availability to Dr. Mercer maximized. He and his staff are pleasant, friendly and professional. Dr. Mercer seems to be an excellent diagnostician. Office visits with him are never rushed, and he's genuinely concerned with your overall health. He is not a pill-pusher, but isn't opposed to trying medications that could make a positive difference. The yearly membership fee might be a little steep for some, but it includes a yearly full physical exam with all blood and other tests included in the membership fee. As far as I know, they accept pretty much all major insurance plans. Contact Signature Healthcare for membership availability and current fees. I highly recommend them.

  • Dr Billmeier ha been primary care physician for me and my wife for about 13 years. We felt lucky to get into his practice. He is very knowledgeable, compassionate and has a great sense of humor. His entire staff is great. My father-in-law went to Dr Billmeier until father-in-law's death (not Dr Billmeier's fault). The only reason my mother-in-law will not go to him is because she thinks Dr Billmeieris too young and cute.

  • I have been a FHCP member for over 10 years. During that time, I have a number of issues. I have always been seen and treated promptly, with full explanations of what was going to happen and when. The co-pays were never a secret and I have never been referred to a provider who did not accept FHCP's insurance. Never a suprise on a bill. All the various doctors and nurses have been highly professional and knowledgeable. My elderly in-laws recently moved to the area and are in a different HMO, a nationwide plan you would recognize. I am not happy with that other HMO because they are extremely difficult when it comes to getting answers.

  • All in all it was a very pleasant visit. Most of her staff are real pleasant and I believe I will be very happy with Dr. Tui as my primary care physician. I rated her availability a and quot;Band quot; due to I had to wait 3 weeks to see her. I later found out she sees about 20 new patients a week. She must be good if a lot of people want to see her.

  • PA was distracted and stated she  would prescribe medication recommended by specialist. When checking out I asked Front desk for script they said she did not write one and they  went to her- she stated she did not say she would write the scipt. 2 days later received phone call from office saying she had made a mistake and had called the script in. I had already gone to a walk in clinic for care by this time.
I have been a patient of this office for 10+ years and their limited office hours and "short staff" has caused me to go to walk in clinics for care much to often because I cannot get in to see the Doctor. I have had surgery and cannot follow up "with my primary care physician" as recommended without long waits. THis office does not care for you if you are admitted- you will end up with a Staff Physician of the hospital who knows nothing about your history.
Dr Buchanan (And Dr Manestar before her) are really good Physicians...but not if you cannot get in to see them. Their office hours are very limited and I have had many appointments scheduled only to be called the day before to be told "THe Dr will not be here tomorrow can I reschedule you" (Understandable that Doctors get sick, their children get sick, family emergencies, etc- but it happens to often with no one to cover for them)

  • Dr. Makary and his staff are always very accomodating, and professional. He always takes the time to discuss the results of my blood work, and make recommendations as to how to lower my cholesterol levels. He is also very prompt, and rarely do I have to wait long before getting an appointment.

  • I like her and I think that she is very complete. She constantly sends me for tests that I need and keeps up with my total health, which is good. She is very thorough and she gets me in as fast as she can and she oversees everything. She is good. The chairs in her office are really uncomfortable.

  • Dr. Makary has been my primary care physician for a while now. He takes a different approach to your health than any other doctor I've had before, in fact, when becoming a patient, he has a very strict set of rules for you to follow, and I've heard he's kicked patients out of his practice for not following them. I cannot stress enough how much I feel this is a positive thing. Some examples of those rules include getting him past medical records, being present (or at least notified) if you are hospitalized, getting copies of records from other medical doctors/specialists you are seeing. If you're paying attention, you'll notice he wants to know EVERYTHING that is going on with you medical-wise, I can't help but feel this allows him to come up with the best possible care for you.
He notices little things, and remembers things about you (hobbies, etc), and takes the time to get to know his patients. Sometimes the visits to his office seem rushed, but he always covers everything, and usually arrives at a diagnosis quickly.
A final note, is that he does have a fairly heavy accent, and is sometimes hard to understand, but he acknowledges that, and even asks you to have him repeat anything you don't understand, he's never taken offense to me asking him to repeat things, sometimes I've even had to ask multiple times too.

  • They are good at getting me an appointment and squeezing me in at the last minute. He has a good bedside manner and he takes the time to listen to me. He doesn't rush me. He is friendly and approachable. I don't feel like I am wasting his time. He has never missed a mark on anything.
