    Merritt Island Woodwerx LLc
Josh was professional, friendly and responsive from beginning to end. We actually set up the job months in advance because we live out of town and he calendared it and was there on the appointed day with all required materials and crew. The job went quick and the deck is beautiful. I highly recommend Island Woodwerx if you need a deck repair or facelift.

Great! Ken Truffa explained what he needed to do, why and gave me a fair price. He suggested ways to save money too! He was there when he said he would be there. He told me what to expect time-wise. His assistant was also on time and pleasant. These gentlemen had to put up with my nosy, annoying pets.... including a very curious chicken who needs to be in on all the action in "her" domain. Ken was very pleasant, professional and polite. I would hire him again in a minute! I'll be calling him again I'm sure.

I've always lived in old houses, so have a lifetime of experience with contractors. Ken Truffa and his crew were far superior to any I've ever dealt with. From the very first meeting, when he said he'd be there at 8:30 and the doorbell rang at 8:29, it was ideal. He understood what I wanted done and presented several ideas about how to accomplish it. He and his crew are perfectionists. I couldn't see the caulked nail holes in some molding, for example, but they ran their hand over it and decided to do a second caulking and painting. Doors were hung absolutely straight, moldings set in perfectly. They were always on time, and cleaned up every evening. If they found problems with prior work (a door was hung only on the old molding, for example), they independently solved it. We've already hired Ken and his crew for a second project. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Ken Truffa did a wonderful job in building a planter on my deck. The gentlemen that he had do the work was polite, proficient, punctual. The work looks professional and I appreciate their work ethics. I love plants and this is giving me a wonderful addition. The material that was used is maintenance free and will not cause work for me to upkeep. Very kind person and company is very trustworthy.

    Honeybears Home Repair
Came in first day on time and removed broken and loose tiles. Did not have enough tiles to replace broken ones. After checking 3 stores none available. Decided to add pattern with different color tiles. Second day laid tiles. Came back on Sunday to grout tiles.

We called and left a voicemail. Ken called back right away. We set up a time for him to come take a look at it. He was also not sure what had happened to cause the hole, but said that when they came to fix it they would take a look. He quoted us a reasonable sounding price and we agreed. Jason came out a little over a week later to fix the hole. He removed some of the surrounding ceiling to patch the hole, and found that a piece of drywall that had fallen from the roof and cut into the ceiling. This made sense as we had recently had our skylights replaced and there was a lot of pounding in that area. In less than a morning Jason had not only patched the spot, but he also matched the texture on the ceiling. He did an amazing job. Ken said that we would probably have to paint the ceiling to get it to match once it was dry, but Jason did such a good job that we have not had to do any painting. If you did not know that there was once a hole there, you would never be able to pick out the spot that was patched. Not only did Jason do great, but both he and Ken were either on time or early for the appointments we set up. Ken was also quick to return any calls we made. I would definitely use this company again.

    JERRY'S HOME IMPROVEMENTS
. I would definitely  hire Jerry again. Jerry did an excellent job. He was very professional from start to finish. He cleaned up the work area and even hauled away extra shelving for us. The job I think took longer then expected but he stuck to his price and never asked for more. Now we have a very sturdy shed and we are very pleased.

    Sprouse Services
Sean was very prompt in contacting us to set up a date for the services.  The service was scheduled for Wed.  On Mon evening we emailed him a list of the items we would like done.  The list included replacing exterior lights with motion detection lights, replace 2 existing ceiling fans, replace an existing kitchen faucet, replace an interior door, and several other items.
Sean started with the replacing of the exterior lights.  That went fine.  He spent around 5 hours working on the replacement of the kitchen faucet.  When he left we still had water spraying out from several places under the sink.  The sink was not leaking prior to Sean's work. We will now have to hire another provider to finish the job correctly.  Sean explained to me that one of the pieces was old, but that piece connected the drain to the pipe.  Right now it is completely disconnected from the drain.  We are not sure why it was taken off in the course of replacing the faucet.  The faucet lines are now spraying water all over as well. The faucet and seal does not line up either.
Sean removed a ceiling fan like requested.  He then informed me that he doesn't do extensive electrical work and the replacement fan had a remote and many more wires and he couldn't do it.   We had him put the old fan that he had just taken back down up.  We didn't even have him try to do the other fan.
Sean did replace the interior door, but it was done very poorly.  The brackets were not installed at the correct location in the door frame. The replacement door was new and will likely need to be replaced as the brackets were put on poorly.
Sean's skills were not that of a skilled handyman.  He might be fine at pressure washing, debris removal, etc but we cannot recommend him as a handyman.  We will now have to hire someone else to correct his errors.  We wish he would have informed us when we sent him the list that he could not install fans and that these tasks were not things he was capable of doing. Sean did work very hard but didn't have the skills required.  In his frustration a few "choice" words were also heard from Sean under his breath.
After 8 hours (9 actually as he stayed trying to fix the faucet) of skilled handyman services we do have 4 exterior motion lights that appear to be working fine, a kitchen sink that cannot be used as water is spraying out from multiple places, a damaged new door that looks unprofessionally installed, and a ceiling fan that was taken down and put back up. We will need to hire another professional to fix Sean's work.

UPDATE in response to provider's response:

We never thought you were a plumber or an electrician.  We emailed you a list of things to be done that included replacing the ceiling fans and the sink faucet.  You never indicated you would not be able to do these items until after you began the tasks.    During the sink faucet replacement you never stated a plumber was needed nor offered to bring one out as you stated.  Your reply here is the first you offered this to us.  On the day of service you did offer to do additional jobs for us in the future at a discounted rate to compensate for the problems that day.  If you had offered to bring a plumber out and pay for it we certainly would have taken you up on it as we had to pay for one ourselves to fix the incomplete faucet replacement work.  We insisted on you doing the plumbing as after you started the job the sink was leaking and spraying water under the cabinet.  It was not doing this prior to your work and we couldn't leave it like this.  We had a fully function kitchen sink prior to your work.  When you left the sink was unusable.  We did finally tell you to give up after several hours.   We told YOU we would have to have a plumber out to fix it now.  The sink lines had been inspected and some replaced as they were old (although not leaking) by a plumber in March of 2014 when we purchased the home.  We also had a full home inspection in March of 2014 and no active leaks were found at the sink. There were no leaks prior to your work.   The sink collar did need to be replaced by the plumber as it would not screw back on.  So that piece was stripped but it was connected and functioning fine when you arrived. In changing out the faucet removal of the sink collar was not needed.

We have requested a refund from Sean but he has refused.  He did offer to have a plumber come out at his expensive but we have already paid a plumber to fix it.

They were very patient as we discussed different options for  the decking as well as placement for the fountain.  They have completed many repairs for us over the years and we would highly recommend them.
