    Steve's Home Improvement
The initial quote was close to our budget $225k. The (first) signed contract became $256k. In the middle of construction, after he was told many times that my parents were exhausting their savings in building the house (after we were already deeply into the project), we were told that Mr. Angiolillo required a new contract for $306k (or the project would stop); after we begrudgingly signed that (second) contract, after another number of months, Mr. Angiolillo requested a new contract for $352k, which we would not (could not) agree to (Mr. Angiolillo explained that this would pay for most of the work, and my 78-year old father, and 67-year old mother could, get a mortgage, in order to pay him the rest. Thats when we started looking into ending our relationship with him. For the most part, the work that was performed (done by Angiolillos subs) was good there were some issues, such as the omission of a dryer vent, and some small head scratching issues, but most of the issues were not in the work, per say, but with Mr. Angiolillo, himself. He became erratic fighting with one of his subs (that apparently, returned much later in the process, but whose departure GREATLY slowed any work being done) involving a lot of cursing and ethnic slurs, and after that time, I saw less of Mr. Angiolillo, at the site, and when I did see him/hear from him, he was clearly not in good condition (slurring words, sometimes incoherent), and claiming that things were costing more than he had planned, and a lot more money would be required to finish his project on a day he was onsite, when a set of fiberglass doors (Jeld-Wen) impact doors, ordered from Home Depot (a brand he had recommended, and which cost about $4100) arrived, was impaired when he used a box cutter to help me removed the packing material, in order to inspect the doors he put a big scratch on them (in front of me), then claimed he did not do it. On another day, he appeared at the site, to install windows, and was clearly impaired we saw him stumbling around, while carrying the windows, cursing, while claiming he would, install them himself (since his sub had stopped coming to assist him) shortly later, he appeared to be working on the window framing. My wife and I left him to his work, when , later that same day around 8 or 9 pm - my wife told me that she saw his truck still at the job site, behind our house, and she said she was worried he was dead. We went out to investigate, and he was passed out, with his tools strewn throughout the yard, keys in the ignition, car doors open it took several minutes to wake him; he was conscious, but looked very impaired, and did not speak, at first. I helped him recover a little and I helped him pick up and put his tools back in his vehicle; he spoke of issues including a car accident, and trouble at home. The aforementioned set of $4100 doors were hung, by Mr. Angiolillo (himself), and another worker, and when we examined the work, found the doors did not close (had to lock them in order to keep them from opening), and were scratched badly, on all sides. Much later, Mr. Angiolillo claimed that my parents had caused the issue by leaving the door open, to blow in the wind, and that, inferior Home Depot paint, was to blame for the scratches in the door and for this install, he priced it at $2100 higher than any rate I could quote, from anyone else. To cite another example, of this same behavior, one of Mr. Angiolillos last projects worked on for the guest house, was to paint the house (which he was fired, before it could occur), install drywall, stucco, and insulation. He quoted the painting work at $10k-11k, the drywall, stucco, and insulation at $35k. Since our split with Mr. Angiolillo, as our contractor, we had the work quoted by 3 additional, local contractors painting averaged between $3500$4500, drywall (smooth) was $8k, $1k for insulation, and $2k - $3500 for stucco. On another occasion, when I spoke to Mr. Agiolillo, he expressed frustration that my parents told him, that they were unable to come up with money, beyond the scope of the numbers they had (begrudgingly, and nearly exhausting their savings to do so) agreed to on the $306k contract, he stated his belief, that, they (my parents) has $500k to their disposal, but they just wouldnt give it (the money) to him. This practice of price exaggeration, constant demands for huge sums of money, past numbers on his own, signed contracts, bordering on extortion, and Mr. Angiolillos own erratic behavior, are my parents biggest issues with Steves Home Improvements of Palm Beach, Inc., and less the work, with any of its flaws. God help anyone who hires him for this type of project!

    Apadana Group Inc
We had $20,000 in mold/water damage to our house and Ryan and his team of experts exceeded our repair expectations. They met the agreed upon deadline, didn't charge additional money, and even went as far as helping with some electrical work which was not part of the original scope of work. I will go as far as saying Ryan and his team are the best group of contractors we have ever had work done by.

    The Home People
At the beginning the representative from the company "Arik" Came to the house and showed us what would be done the type of roofing material we would like to have, and the price for the roof. All seemed good until they started the roofing job, first thaey came and took off the old material, I was charged a good amount of money for a dumpster to be placed on property for refuse to go into... They brought a trailer and loaded it up instead. I attempted to contact Arik over this matter and his phone message is that he doesnt accept phone calls please text him, now mind you this is after being told I could contact him at any time since he was the project foreman. So I text him to no avail... finally when he does call he assures me that that is the cost of taking that material to the dump. Now mind you they hire outside contractors to put the roof on the house and at best only one of the people working on the job speaks a little bit of broken English. The contractors then put tar paper on my roof and thats the way it sits for almost a month, several calls/texts to Arik later and being given the runaround that they had a problem with the city getting them the permit. I went to the city and asked what the hold up was for the permit? The city said it was only awaiting final approval and that nobody has come by to pick it up. I said I am the home owner and would like to pick it up myself, they had to get approval from "The Home People" and they would release the permit. I gave them another contact through another contact at the company by the name of Meir, and quickly got the permit. another week after the permit they finally started shingling the house, by yet another subcontracting crew that spoke worse English than the first crew! Arik had advised that he would come by and see how the progress was going, but not once did he stop by, call or any other form of contact, unless it was me griping about something that hadn't been done and mostly poor Meir was the one I was in contact with more than anyone else. So if you are in the market for a new roof save yourself some headache, hire some guys from outside of Home Depot, you will get better service from them!!

    Closet Factory
We had Closet Factory build custom closets throughout our home. They also built a home office for us in our loft and a gorgeous entertainment center as well. Mark Sidell was great to work with and everyone at Closet Factory was very professional and polite. Highly recommend! L and C Yakich

    Zelinski Woodworks
Zelinski Woodworks was such a great company to work with. I just purchased a new house wanted some interior work done but just had a few floating ideas. I received an e-mail back almost immediately and was quickly set up with an appointment. The owner, Brian, came out personally to help finalize my ideas. The project was started right away and finished at a great pace. The custom wood designs throughout the house added so much! I will definitely be working with them again for any of my future projects.

    Faith Construction Corporation
Little did we realize when we purchased our home that the shower in the master bath had been improperly constructed, creating moisture-rot and degradation to structural a support joist under our house. Fortunately, we discovered the problem before any permanent damage had occurred, but finding the right contractor for such an important job wasn't all that simple. Our one trusted contractor had moved, and therfore was unavailable. Calling Arthur Forrest with Faith Construction was, to me, a bit of a risk, as his company had less than a half-dozen reviews on Angie's List--although they were all A-ratings. But I was searching for a list of qualifications--the perfect combination of knowledge and skill, communication and customer service skills. And I hoped to find someone who actually cared about his work and reputation. I believe I found all I was looking for when I met Arthur Forrest. He returned my call right away. Check. Rather than delaying his estimate, he worked us into his schedule to come take a look at the problem, and was able to give us his professional opinion within 24 hours. Check. His price was quite fair. Check. Everything he presented to me seemed to line up with the positive reviews I had read about him, as he seemed to care about the work, and put in the time to assessing the problem and getting the proposed solution right. Check. The work was done under my husband's scrutiny, who is not always easy for contractors to please. But by the end of the job, which was done on time and on budget, my husband had nothing but wonderful things to say about the quality of the job. Faith Construction had gone above and beyond to ensure that their work was done to his satisfaction, and done right, without cutting any corners. Mr. Forrest has left me with the string impression that he is an ethical man with a deep concern for his customers' satisafaction, and his company's reputation. After seeing what he is capable of accomplishing, and having experienced how this company conducts business, I have no reservations in recommending Faith Construction to anyone who wants a job done right. I am very pleased.
