He was able to get that resolved for me. He gave me some stuff. He said it was an onset of neuropathy and that I didn't really need to worry about it coming on at this age because I would be 94 before there would be any real problems and I would never be on a wheelchair. He gave me a combination of vitamins and minerals. He said that nerves could be treated with this and it worked fine. He is fantastic. The only thing is, with him there will be a wait and it's well worth it.

My husband went to this doctor and said he spent time with him, which was good, but when it was time for a prescription renewal, they didn't answer the phone, wouldn't respond and when I left work early to drive up there to get it (urgent since we were leaving on a trip, he needed the refill) they were extremely rude to me, including the Dr., and lied that they had sent it on to the pharmacy when I had just come from there. I called pharmacy in front of them to ask again. When pharmacy confirmed that they had not faxed or called it on, they finally gave me a prescription for the refill. My husband liked him as a doctor, but he could never reach him. They don't answer their phones......

The office staff was friendly and I felt comfortable enough there. I did not have to wait long for the doctor. I went into Dr. Perovich's office which was also comfortable and well lit. He seemed matter-of-fact and direct, and quickly got into asking me questions about my background and the reasons I was taking the medications I was taking at the time. He asked direct questions about my personal history, including questions about my sexual abuse history. That is totally appropriate and expected. What I did not expect was his reaction of disgust. He asked me to tell him details, and then stopped me in disgust when I did.
This is not meant to be a personal attack on Dr. Perovich, or an all-or-nothing, and quot;Don't go to this provider!and quot; rant. I have no doubt that he is a competent practitioner. He was definitely thorough with his questions. But it was difficult to overcome the effects of a mental health professional reacting with disgust at my experience. I expected him, as a psychiatrist who I believe was trained to deal with mental health issues stemming from abuse, to be able to react with understanding or empathy at the disclosure of an abuse history that is difficult to share.
Dr. Perovich was not the right provider for me, and perhaps if a potential patient is getting help that stems from abuse, letting him know what kind of reaction you need in order to feel safe would be wise.

She was very friendly and patient. She asked questions about my condition, improvement, and struggles, and listened well. The office is in a large building, but the floor it's on and the office space are very private. The office staff was friendly. Dr. Kirsch had her dog in a crate in her office, which might be bothersome to certain people (perhaps with fear of dogs or severe allergies), but the dog was quiet and well-behaved. I stopped seeing her because I no longer needed the medication I was taking, but if I ever needed to again, I would go back to Dr. Kirsch.

She seems to be efficient and the office is efficient. I have only been there several times so it is hard to give a final judgment. The staff is good and the office environment is quiet. The wait time is short; only about 10 minutes.

Dr. Punjwani is a bad psychiatrist who is only in it for the money. He was busted for drugs and alcohol, I don't know what his status is now, but our experience with him was years before his drug bust and it was really poor.

I had a very similar experience as that of a previous reviewer whose wife suffered from insomnia. I was sufferfing from chronic insomnia after my prescribed Xanax stopped working. I took Xanax for anxiety and for sleeping, and had done so for many years, but never took more than the prescribed amount; when I saw Dr. Barnea, he seemed very judgmental, firing all kinds of questions at me, expressing shock at my pill use, and generally made me feel awful about myself. He said he would not work with me on my insomnia until I was completely off the medications (which did make sense to me) and that the only way I could get off the meds was to go to detox! This seemed like a bit much, but he insisted it was the only way I could get off the Xanax. Though this didn't really resonate with me (I really felt I could have weened off the Xanax myself), I figured he must know what he's talking about... and I desparately wanted help with my insomnia..... so, in spite of me literally leaving his office in tears, and feeling wretched, and vowing never to go back to see hiim again, I did make arrangements to go to detox (which he refused to help me find a center, saying I was on my own finding a detox facility).... This turned out to be a horrible and unnecessary experience that cost me a week of work.....even the detox staff wasn't sure why I was there.  All of this left me feeling very foolish and very bitter toward Dr. Barnea.  Thank you, Angie's List, for providing a venue for telling my experience and showing the reviews of others who feel the same way as I do.

These people would not let my son leave! He was not comfortable there, they were highly medicating him with suboxone when he did not have an opiate addiction. They kept giving him risperdone and seroquel!!! 2 very serious meds. They illegally baker acted him to JFK hospital. When he was evaluated the hospital let him go. The told me and his father he was mumbling despondent and was worried about his mental state and then for 3 days would not return our phone calls.... The sheriffs department was called and thank god for them they realized what was happening and my son was able to come home with an officers help the next day!

Dr. Stengo, explained my illness, and begins medication immediately. He is never hesitant to discuss new, and alternative treatments. He is absolutely current, and updated. He knows what the latest treatments are, as well as the positive and negative aspects of each treatment. He is very conscientious about checking my blood work. He is interesting, friendly, and warm. I don't see him every visit, but his supporting staff is wonderful! I can't imagine going to anyone else! There is also a lot of paper work involved, and his office manager, never gives up getting every penny she can.

I have been seeing Dr. Wand for about two years now. He takes his time with you. He is very caring. A lot of times, it's difficult with the pain specialists and the pain places around here, but he is not. He has a private office and it's not a clinic. He doesn't have a lot of people waiting around since he is always on time. He is a really good doctor and takes good care. He is very knowledgeable. He also recommended nutritional supplements. He has a massage therapist in his office. I would use his services in the future too.
