    I walk into their store and I forgot my password and the owner of the store put me on the phone and said I must call AT&T. I had them for 20 years. They have a lot young people there who walk around with their IPod and they don’t know what they are doing. You have to hire people who know what they are doing.

    The service has been so-so.  There has been drop in calls occasionally.  It is very difficult to get to their customer service.  I think that their price is high.  I wouldn’t use them in the future.

    I have loose calls very rarely.  I started with them and I have continued with them because I continually get upgraded phones and that’s how they catch you.  I have unlimited texting and data in the US.  I am on senior program.  I never exceed my calls.  I went down from accumulating something like 9000 minutes because I hardly use my phone to call and with other landline service provider that I use why would I use a cell phone.  I accumulated 9000 minutes and I said I need to change my program and by then I was over 55 so then we changed it to the senior program.  It took it down to a $150 to $600 a month depending on where I was in the world to $90 a month.  I don’t use it when I travel because it is too expensive.  If I text oversees it is extra.  The quality of service is good.  They are professional and very good at sending the accounts on time and debiting the money from account.

    I told her I didn’t have my phone set up to iCloud and the photos were very important to me. They said that everything would be okay. They erased 5,000 of my pictures. They didn’t even ask what they could do for me.

    I find that it's really difficult trying to deal with their customer service if you have a problem. It is very difficult getting through to them. It's just hard to speak with a rep; you have to wait a long time. My daughter lives about five minutes from me and I can't get service over there. I do get good service otherwise.

    Mr. Wimmer talked us out of our existing contract with AT&T for cellular service, which provided unlimited data.  We had contracted with AT&T several years ago and were going to be grandfathered in with the unlimited plan as they do not offer that any more.  Mr. Wimmer assured us that we could save money by going with his recommendations and dropping the unlimited data plan.  Huge mistake on our part.  We had our new phones for exactly one week when we were notified that we had used 65% of our data allowance.  I called Mr. Wimmer several times and he was never in.  No service there.  We went into the store and he was not there.  One of the other reps asked why we dropped our unlimited data plan, that it was a mistake to do so.  We advised him that we were told by one of his coworkers to do that.  He just shook his head in disbelief.  We have been talking with AT&T to get our grandfathered unlimited plan back and are getting the run around.  
    We did speak with a very nice man in Birmingham, Barry Washburn, who seemed surprised that one of their employees would talk us out of the unlimited data plan.  He has asked us to follow up with him if AT&T cannot rectify this.  I am losing faith each day.  AT&T keeps delaying their decision, saying it needs to go to one committee and then another, etc.  Ridiculous.  
    We are very disappointed in Ryan Wimmer and the training he must have gotten from Planet Cellular.  We don't know if they are trained to talk people out of these grandfathered plans or if it was an error on Mr. Wimmer's part.  It certainly was naive on our part to trust a salesperson!  My husband had just lost his 93-year-old mother and our heads were not on straight.  Not sure we ever want to work with AT&T again.

    I know why at&t is rated as low as possible for customer service by every rating service I could find!  No one I have spoken to really cares whether you remain with their service or not!  They do not appreciate their customers at all.  My latest frustration all began when my husband agreed to give me an iphone for my birthday.  I placed the order on line & was informed that I should receive the new phone within 5 days.  Five days later I checked the status of the order (I had been checking everyday) and found it was canceled.  I had not received an email, phone call or smoke signal advising me it was canceled & why.  So I called to find out why the order was canceled (it took at least 15 minutes just to find a phone number!).  The rep told me it really was not canceled they were just temporarily out of the phone & I would receive an email update within 3 days.  Three days later I still had not received the email so I called again.  This time the rep was very nice & professional.  She told me the order had been canceled due to some computer glitch but she fixed it & overnighted the phone to me.  After receiving the iphone I had some difficulty getting it set up so I went to the at&t store for help.  The person at the store was able to help me get my iphone straightened out & asked if I was interested in Uverse service.  I finally agreed to try the Uverse service for my home phone & internet connection which was presently with at&t analog & DSL.  She told me I could cancel at any time during the first 30 days & return to the service I presently have.  She also told me that there would be no problem with my home alarm service but I would need to disconnect it during the install.  If I had a problem, for $50 they could send out a tech to complete the install or I could call & talk to a tech for free.  I agreed knowing my husband was able to disconnect & reconnect our alarm service.  They sent me the new equipment.  I then received a call on Wednesday morning from an at&t tech who told me he was going to switch the service out side my home to Uverse & by afternoon my DSL would no longer work but my phone would work fine.  I did not know a tech was going to be doing anything at the house but I agreed & he did switch the service.  When I arrived home, I began unpacking the new Uverse equipment & called our alarm company to let them know that we would be temporarily disconnecting the alarm service.  They advised me that my alarm service would not work with Uverse.  I have agreed to have a tech come out to evaluate what it would take to upgrade our system.  I then called at&t.  The tech told me that he would cancel the order & if I called 888-757-6500 between 8 am & 8 pm they would be able to get my DSL reconnected the next day.  He did advise me to call early to ensure that they would be able to get a tech out to the house the next day.  I called at 8:30 am EST.  First I discovered that the phone number was for California & Texas not Florida.  After being transferred around I was finally given the phone number for Florida.  I called that number & was told that there was no way they could have a tech out today!  It did not matter that I was promised that a tech could come out or that I was originally told that my alarm system would not be problem.  They told me a tech would definitely not be able to come out before next Tuesday & probably later than that.  I asked to speak with a supervisor.  Ms Carter, supervisor, told me they could not have a tech out today but that she would cancel the phone part of the order & I could still hook up the internet to Uverse.  However, I would not be eligible for the equipment rebate so it would cost me an additional $100.  She also told me she would be more than happy to transfer me to the disconnection department if I wanted to disconnect my phone service completely!  I asked to speak to her boss, Ms Huggins, manager, who of course was not in & does not have a direct line.  I am not holding my breath that I will actually ever speak to Ms Huggins!   However, I will be looking to completely eradicate at&t from my life!  It will probably take some time, but I will eventually stop having anything to do with at&t.
