  • I had waited until the last second and a hurricane was on it's way. Business was as expected and swamped, but they said to bring it in anyway, no promises but they would get to it as fast as they could. I was afraid I might have to buy a new generator, but they overhauled the carburetor changed the oil and replaced the broken parts and had it back to me the same day. It now starts with 1 pull. This company represents what great service is all about.

  • I was told that the tool would be evaluated and the repair might take up to a week. I received a phone call the next day. Mike told me what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix it. The repair was completed that day. When I arrived to pick up the weed wacker Mike was still not satisfied with the performance of the tool. His assistant made a few adjustments and it now works really well. Mike and his assistant were very nice and helpful as well as well skilled in their craft.

  • I have a John Deere L120  riding mower that the cutting deck belt broke while I was cutting my grass. I removed the deck and tried to removed the old worn blades myself but just stripped the bolts.
    When I arrived I spoke with Mike and explained that I had tried to change the blades myself and in the process stripped the bolts.
     He explained it wasn't going to be easy to get the bolts off that hold the blades and they would need to be heated and there was no guarantee the bolts wouldn't break but he would try. This was 8:30 am . I got a call from Mike at 1200 pm saying it was done but the belt I brought him was too small and the blades would need new bolts. I went to the John Deere Dealer in Davie and got the bolts and new belt. Took it to the shop Friday in the morning and within 10 mins the blades were on and Dave was kind enough to teach me how to replace the belt in the future. ALSO this visit there was no charge and thats speaks volumes to me about Mike and Dave and their customer service. I will be a repeat customer when needed and refer anyone who ask me for a good honest shop.

  • I was greeted promptly when I arrived with my mower.Staff removed mower from my suv and we discussed mower problems.  Mike determined transmission was "shot" and mower needed new blade. We discussed the pros and cons of repair or replace mower. He provided estimate of repair. I was not pressured in any way as I made my decision to repair mower.
     Delivered mower on Tuesday and it was ready Saturday. Estimated cost was what I was what I was charged, $191.00.
    I was treated with respect and courtesy. This was my second repair at Lauderdale Lakes Small Engine and I will definately us them again.

  • My Husky pressure washer didn't start, so I called the shop this morning and brought it in about 9:30. You pay $25 for an estimate which is deducted from the cost of repair if they fix it. Received a call around 1:00 that the machine was finished. One of the mechanics took the time to show me how the unit should be stored, both long and short term and answered all my questions. Machine stars right up and runs great. Very pleased with the service.

  • Called on Friday p.m. to verify shop was open on Saturday. Dropped off Sat a.m. and explained the pressure washer was running erratically after sitting for quite sometime. Tech explained the deposit which would be applied to the total invoice and said he would have the machine repaired by mid week. Tuesday a.m. I received a call that the machine was repaired.

  • I spoke with Joe the owner to get a tune up for my rider mower, first one
    in 2 years on a new rider mower, plus a repair covered under a warranty
    plan. He gave me an $85 estimate but lowered the price when he saw the
    mower. I got back a mower back that worked better then it did new. He
    even cleaned it. It was well worth the price. He has a clean shop in a
    good location but his shop is located almost to the exit of a busy
    complex. My only drawback was the charge for pick up and delivery, $60
    round trip. My total was $67 for service plus $30 for them to drop off
    door to door. All in all it was worth it to me.

  • They kept the lawnmower for 2 or 3 weeks, but they didn’t repair it.  They didn’t communicate and we had to keep calling them.  The grass grew very long and when I asked them for a rental lawnmower, they didn’t.

  • Don't know what happen to this company! Bought my Snapper Riding Mower there three years ago and had a great experience! (Before becoming a member) But this time they get around to looking at it after being in the shop for a week! I get called and told that they ran the mower for two hours and it kept starting without a problem and asked when I was going to pick it up. I replied what about the annual service and he was quiet. Huh, that's not on the ticket. My copy of the ticket had detailed but I guess the mechanic really could care less. I'll have to call you back. Two days later I get a call with the estimate from another guy (Jack, I believe), which I approve. Having to work like I'm sure many of us I could only pick it up on Saturday since their service hours are 8 to 4. I received a message EVERY DAY to come pick it up. Well I get out of the office early today so I can pick it up and mow my lawn that is now overgrown and while it is up in the air I look at the blade and it sure didn't look like it was sharpened to me and I ask the guy putting it in my truck if the blade was sharpened? Oh yea, it was sharpened. I pay the bill as I leave I professionally explain how unhappy I am with the service and I find out that the guy who says the blade was sharpened was the mechanic, so I guess his answer to my question has got to be questioned. Well, I get it home and start mowing and have to stop in the middle of mowing and go back to start it and guess what, it will not start! So as I am waiting for it to cool down, I am too by writing this! Also I know that when I run the mower for a couple of hours I need to refill the fuel tank and, yep you guessed it, it just so happen to have the same amount of fuel when I dropped it off. I know because I filled it up before my last mow and the fuel level did not change to justify two hours of running! Thanks Angie's List for giving us poor consumers a way of letting others know their experience before we choose!
