Hardware Store reviews in Plantation

I was ready to replace the whole zone control system for my sprinklers until I went to Windmill sprinklers and hardware. When I walked in I was greeted by a very nice man so I told him my problem. He knew exactly what had to be replaced and explained exactly how to install it. This man saved me so much money and time. My sprinklers change zones and work perfect now. Thank you so much for your expert help.

Contractor (Llorens Construction) used by Lowes could not keep supervisory personnel on the job.  I really had to monitor and demand correction for things that should never have passed a supervisor's inspection.  Several times I gave up and fixed them myself.   I contracted in June 2014 and what should have taken 2 months took almost 10 months!  Mix-ups with permits, discontinued appliances, paint on my furniture and missing cabinet doors.  Lowes personnel gave me a lot of lip service, but in the end I just had to wait it out.  Since I paid up front using Lowe's credit, I had no leverage at all.  Will never use them again!
For what it is worth -  Diamond Cabinets -  Excellent quality and features for the price.

I thought by going to professionals and avoiding the big box stores I would get professional service.  While their pricing on wire was competitive, (City- $0.38 a foot for AWG #6 THHN,) ( Home Depot- $0.40 a foot #6 AWG THHN)  they screwed my on other equip.  I was wiring an outdoor hot tub, Home Depot had a 50amp GFI outdoor load center for $65 including housing.  City electric charged me $97.89 just for the GFI breaker (siemens W0204ML 1060)  and then another $35.05 for the housing. ($133 at city vs $65 at home depot).   Amazon has the exact same GFI breaker  (siemens W0204ML 1060)  for $59.90 .   I should have researched more.  City electric baited me with good pricing on wire and gouged me for 40% over pricing on the breaker. Buying anything but wire from them is a mistake. If I had stuck to big box stores I would have saved over $100.

From start to finish, All Weather Protective Systems did an outstanding job.  They were prompt, efficient, courteous and all around outstanding.  All my concerns were addressed and they exceeded my expectations.  I recommend them highly.

The Home Depot service is accommodating, very easy to work wit and you could get in touch with them and they will get back at you.  They have new and a wide variety of product lines you can choose from.

This has been a very unfortunate experience. I went to Home Depot (2901 Univ. in Sunrise, FL) and selected a water heater that I wanted to have installed in the home I had just purchased. Based on size, placement, etc. I selected one that was between $200-$300. They told me that they would take care of everything and that their installers would pick up the unit I selected, take care of the permit, and come out and install it. They took my name and number and said they wanted to know that the experience was good and I would get a follow-up customer service survey. That was the last I heard from Home Depot.
Their installers were Florida Delta Mechanical, Inc. Since I had just started a new job and had no time off I asked a friend to be there and communicate with them. I left her a signed check to give them to pay for the unit and work. When they arrived they did not have the unit I selected in Home Depot, not even the same brand. The cost of the unit was almost twice the one in Home Depot but they said they did not have the one I selected from Home Depot. Since the water heater was leaking and in dire need of replacing I told my friend to go ahead with the work. By the end of the job the cost has escalated to $970, of course, the invoice is not broken down so I don't know what they charged individually for the install, permit, unit, etc.
During the install, they did not put in a pan under the water heater, saying by code it was not needed but they could put the old (broken) one back in. Since it was broken I said not to. The first comment from the real estate agent who checked in a few days later and from the City Inspector this past week - "There isn't any pan under it". It passed inspection so it was not required but apparently quality install would have included it anyway (not my area of expertise so I don't know).
The most frustrating thing is that they would not take my check from my friend, so she gave them her debit card so the install could move along. Since then, they have refused to put the information in my name or contact as the home owner. The City Permit has her contact number, the company has her number. I've called repeatedly and they say if her name is the one on the payment she is the one contacted for everything. No possible way to change anything. So, when the inspection from the City was scheduled to occur this past week, she was called. She was in another state and informed them she had nothing to do with the house and gave them my number. Needless to say, as the home owner, I am beyond frustrated with this company and will never use them or Home Depot again.

They are beautiful.  I wasn't at my home while the work was being done but he kept in contact with me throughout the process and they did an excellent job.  This company does what they say they are going to do.  You call him, he shows up.  No excuses.  He is a man of his word.  Since then, I've recommended him to four other people and every one of them was thrilled with the work he did.

They installed it.  They did a great job.  They were very clean cut, and professionaly dressed.   They really worked as a team and did a great job.  I really like how they have their own people do the work, meaning that they don't outsource.

The price was very good but the subcontractors who did the installation were a problem. They came up with all of these extra charges. All they had to do was move one bed frame and they charged me $15. I was in a hurry because my tenants were coming so I just agreed to it. They wouldn't take my carpet out because it wasn't clean so I had to hire a handyman friend to do it. I told Home Depot about these people and they said they would look into it.

They used a contractor to do the job and he didn't do such a hot job. The roof came out ok but they caused a lot of damage inside the house, particularly ceiling damage around the house. I called them back to let them know and they took care of it without charging me.
