KBF remodeled our kitchen four years ago and we were so pleased that we called them when we wanted to remodel our master bathroom this year. We love our new bathroom. Brian helped design both the kitchen and bathroom. The remodel took three months, which at times seemed long but the result is perfect and well worth the wait. The workers were polite, considerate and kept the concrete dust to a minimum; cleaned up after each days work. They answered all our questions. We were always notified by the office staff of when workers would arrive. Shane, our project manager, was always available by text, phone or email. He responded promptly to questions or concernseven when he was on vacation! He personally checked on the progress frequently. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of materials as well as the workmanship. Thank you KBF!

    Twin Brothers Flooring
The installers were very professional and precise. They had my carpet laid down in a timely manner and was very helpful moving all the heavy items that I could not do myself. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends.

    Georgia Floors Direct
They don?t have a lot of inventory and there was no transaction. I was looking for flooring for my house and I wanted something modern but they looked at me like I was speaking Greek! They kept trying to push me to a sample they had rather than what I wanted.

Lorena is such a great find.  Not only did she get this laminate installed, she took the time to teach me and we did it together.  I thought I had it all figured out from watching a few hours of YouTube instruction but I didn't know the first thing!  Lorena gave me lots of tips on handling different issues.  My subfloor was not as level as one would hope and she showed me how to adjust for the unevenness.  The floor lies perfectly.  And it was fun!

It went great.  She remembered all the details, helped me shop (who DOES that!?), told me how to care for floors, fixed things I didn't even ask about, was clean, stayed in touch and was a joy to work with.  I am sorry she is not close because I know I will need her again.

    Upright Remodeling
This experience was truly wonderful from start to finish.  I selected Upright from the reviews and ratings that were on Angie's list.  Honestly, I was a bit leery going with a local Plant City vendor.  Initially I did a broad search that encompassed the Tampa Bay area but after meeting with Art from Upright - his attention to details, thoroughness and concern to meeting our needs all calmed my nerves and we moved forward.  Right from the start, Art brought in each member of what would be the team to ensure that our "vision" was realistic and doable - Foreman, electrician, plumber, etc...  We went back and forth with our initial drawings (Art was always patient with my 100+ initial revisions!) until we were pleased and then a complete cost estimate was provided and agreed to prior to anything beginning.  We talked about time expectations during this period as well.  Our remodel was quite extensive and Art gave us a 90 day estimate from the time we signed our contract to the completion of the work.  I honestly wasn't sure how realistic this time frame was as we had went through a complete bathroom remodel 6 months prior (about 1/3 the size of this remodel) and it took nearly 5 months to complete.  So we signed our contract at the beginning of April.........fingers crossed that we would have a big 4th of July party! Work/Demolition began on April 16th.  The foreman of the remodel was Bill - let me just say that my entire family adored Bill (and everyone honestly).  He was polite, honest, concerned with our comfort and cared that the job was done right.  Wow - I wish all businesses could be run by someone of this caliber.  This was certainly not a small project - three major walls were coming down and all of the flooring in my home was coming up (half of the removal was tile!).  They helped us to carefully move the majority (excluding bedrooms) of our belongings into a pod that was brought and placed in our driveway.  Plastic sheets were put up to block dust and placed on bare floors as well.  Don't get me wrong - it was a mess BUT at the end of each day......Bill was always there sweeping his way out!  Trying to leave us as comfortable as possible.  Our main crew was Bill, Lisa, Chris, Nate, Greg, Wayne & Memory.   EVERYONE was incredible and their work was A++.  They lined up each portion of the job and kept us informed daily of the work that was being performed.  They worked on my kitchen and floor 90+% of the time.  It was rare to have a day that work was not happening.  I could provide you with many more details........but the point is that the entire job went incredibly smooth.  I have zero complaints - only glowing reviews - and (I know this never happens!) the job was completed BEFORE the deadline.  We had an awesome 4th of July party and even invited the entire crew to celebrate with our family and friends.  My kitchen is absolutely amazing.  We are looking forward to beginning our outdoor kitchen remodel with Upright soon!  THANK YOU AGAIN - Art, Bill, Lisa, Memory, Nate, Wayne, Greg & Chris!!

My husband and I purchased a 1922 Bungalow that had over 2400 square feet of heart pine floors that had to be refinished.  Some of the floors had been abused or covered with linoleum and were in rough shape.  Tom and his wife were extremely professional and accomodating and they did a fantastic job.  Our floors look perfect and so shiny and beautiful!  We would definitely recommend them, especially to anyone trying to restore an old home.

    Upright Remodeling
First of all let me state that the reason for choosing Upright Remodeling's was based on reputation.  They had completed several projects in our area and all feedback I received had been excellent. The estimate I received was higher than the other contractors, but I needed somebody I could trust to be in my home for weeks unsupervised and at the same time confident that I would get a quality job. After meeting several times with Upright Remodeling my confidence grew  enough that I left the country for a 2 week while European Cruise while they continued to work on our project.
To begin the journey we packed everything up and stored it in a spare bedroom and the garage and moved out of the house for 6 weeks. Upright moved all of the heavy stuff to the garage which was an added service at no charge.
During the duration of the remodel I would stop by at the end of the day to monitor the progress and make sure it was what I wanted.  There were very minor issues that I pointed out that were not to my total liking.  In most cases they already new about them and were on a punch list to be fixed. They reassured me that work was not completed yet, and that everything would be right at the end.  They were right.  At the end of the project everything was magnificat.  Upright Remolding took the extra steps with out additional charges to insure that we were completely satisfied, and we could not have been happier with their work.  I have used them again since to paint the exterior of my house.  If you are looking for a quality job, reasonable cost, and responsiveness to all of your questions and concerns I suggest you consider Upright Remodeling for your next project, I will.

    The Handyman Company
The individual who did the estimate for the work did an excellent job of capturing exactly what was to be done.  The estimate he provided was complete, detailed, and very descriptive.  The individual who actually did the work was a different person.not the same person.  Everyone involved in the work was courteous, friendly and professional in appearance and conduct.  The quality of the work done, however, was not good at all.  Not all of the wallpaper was removed before the workman painted so there were fuzzy spots where bits of paper had not been removed.  Vertical paint lines were not vertical and horizontal paint lines were not horizonta.  Ledges around windows and other areas were not even dusted, let alone painted.  Instead the workman used a roller to get close and did bother to paint areas that could not be seen unless you stepped on a chair or latter to check the ledges.  He even left paint drippings on shelfs and on the carpet with no attempt to clean them up.

The workman made it clear that he was done with the project at the end of the 5-day effort he put in.  After examining the final product I contacted Handyman Connection and expressed my displeasure.  They sent an inspector to examine the work, agreed that it was not done properly, and send a second workman to correct the deficiencies.  It seemed he was under pressure to make things right in one day and while he did a good job correcting as much as he could, still the final results were below average quality and incomplete.

The lesson learned from this experience is this:  Don't hire a handyman to do a job that a more specialized professional, in this case a painter, should do.
