Richie is very responsive. His work speaks for itself and I was impressed not only with his professional manner and knowledge of the problems and medium he works with, but with the finished product. We happened to have some unusual rain storms after he applied the product and without my asking, not only went over the particular area again, but a third time due to another rain. Turned out the area giving problems gets no sun at all to dry in a quick manner but Richie knew what the problem was and solved it on his own. I would definitely recommend him and use him in the future. It's hard to find someone in this business who does such excellent work and prides himself in a job done above and beyond what is required.

Installation went smooth. Hard to get a hold of follow up problems. In less than two years driveway has cracked and tire marks. And they want $900 and I was told that was a discount. Doesn't sound like a discount to me.

    American Stamp Concrete
Did an excellent job. Problems we have been having is to find a competent company to reseal it annually. American Stamp Concrete does not have the time to do it. So if you can get a company that stands behind its product and reseals it, for a price, on annual basis, that would be better.
The folks American Concrete recommends did not do a good job.

Mr. Tessa will say one thing and do another. We spoke the day after I purchased the deal. He said before he does the work he always measures first so that he can let the customer know if there will be any additional charges. He asked for my address so that he could measure. He called back twice for the address because he was in the area of my home and he wanted to measure. He then let me a voicemail that he measures the driveway and that he measured the driveway and confirmed that it was within the 1000 square feet purchased and he wanted to schedule a day nod time todo the job. So far, so good. He and I then speak and he confirmed again that he measured and was ready to do the work. But based on his inspection I probably needed a double coat. I said no thanks but call me when you get to my home. He gets to my home and surprise he claims that the driveway is triple the size and that he didn't come out to measure before; it is now triple the price. I had to pay for his mistake.

    Mosley Driveway Maintenance
This is a family run business who I first used five years ago to seal coat then used again to repair major root damage, repave those repaired sections and apply two coats of asphalt seal coat to the entire driveway.  My driveway is approximately 500' long and 13' wide.  Mr. Mosley is professional, knowledgeable, provides a fair price, dependable and does a first class job.  He doesn't cut corners and finishes the job on time (weather depending).  I highly recommend his work.

From the beginning to the end of the project he was very responsible, did things when he said he would and was on-site everyday during the project.  He directly supervised his workers and took full responsibility for the work.  He answered every phone call and was always availble to discuss the status of the project.  If you have done work with other contractors you know all these attributes are hard to come by.  Jamie is a true professional.  The project entailed removing old asphalt and replacing with brick pavers in the front semi-circular driveway.  We also did a brick paver path from front of house to back.   Jamie also installed  travertine pavers around the terrace and pool deck,  re-did the pool's diamond brite along with pool coping and waterline tiles.  This was a pretty large project and every aspect of it was handled professionally and throughout the project it was evident that Jamie's goal was to make sure his client was happy.  Some other reviews say that he was hard to get an estimate from, my recommendation is that he is worth the wait.  He is very busy and does not take on more work than he can deliver to his customers - so you may have to be patient to get a hold of him for an estimate but if you are interested in a quality job, don't hesitate in calling him - you won't regret it.

I called Richie and two other contractors to review the job. One of the contractors didn't call back, one gave us a "quote" on the back of their business card, and Richie showed up on time and as promised. He reviewed the job, provided a written quote at that time which was competitive with the other quote received. He also explained the process he would be using to me which was very helpful.
The job was set for the 17th of January and Richie and his coworker were there on time and stripped down the old, loose asphalt and were about to go get the new asphalt when it began to rain. He advised that they would have to finish the next morning and were there for 9 am on the 18th. After completing the asphalt, they cleaned up the site very well and offered to put a topcoat on the asphalt the next day, which I agreed to. Total cost above is for both the asphalting and the topcoat.
The driveway looks great, and is fully sealed with any rainwater beading on it before running off. Richie kept us informed throughout, provided a good price and performed professionally throughout. I'd be happy to recommend him.

Above & Beyond Concrete & Paving
After finding the company on Angie's List I contacted them and Abbot came to the house (pretty much as scheduled) to give us an estimate, which was 30% better than the competition. Super nice guy, very polite and personable. I told him that what was important to me was quality and I wanted the best possible job and was willing to pay more to get it done right. We agreed on a better quality asphalt (at a higher price) and that he would subsequently (his recommendation) seal the driveway with airport-grade sealer (for more money). Before the scheduled date, Abbott tried to delay the job because he said he couldn't get any asphalt, but I insisted on having him do it as scheduled because I needed to show the house for sale and could not lose another week. He showed up with a crew (looked like they had been subcontracted) and they did the job. He was very polite and apparently service-oriented but didn't seem to be very knowledgeable, changing his story about when to seal the driveway based on information from the subcontractors (?). He told me not to drive on the driveway for 48 hours. We stayed off it for 72 hours. Approximately one week later he came back and sealed the driveway. By that time I had noticed imperfections in the way the driveway had been laid down and also that my cars' tires were leaving indentations (tread marks) in the pavement, so I asked Abbott to address these problems before sealing the job (which he did in a very amateurish manner. I could and would have done better). Again, we stayed off the refinished surface 50% more time than he instructed us to. Since that time (only a couple of months) the driveway has already begun to crumble on the outside edges, there are many spots where the weight of the cars has left indentations in the pavement and even cracked it in some spots, and the driveway has stains all over it (from water accumulation?). I tried to reach Abbott by phone several times in the weeks after the job was "done", but he never returned my calls. My wife and I have been very busy with full-time jobs and all the other aspects of preparing a house for sale and showing it (sometimes several times a day) and preparing a move to Europe, so we have not had a chance to pursue this, but now I was in Angie's List looking for a mover and decided to post this report as I have intended to do since this job unfortunately went very wrong.

It was great. The guys worked all day in sun and got the job done. It looks great. They even came back the next day (on a Saturday morning) to make sure everything turned out well.
