Rick and his team were great! He showed up on time, finished to job in one day and charged exactly what had been quoted. His attention to detail is phenomenal, as is his good attitude and responsiveness. I highly recommend Rick for home improvement projects.

    S & W Kitchens Inc
I have had three remodeling jobs done by Bill and Tom of S & W Kitchens in Longwood, Florida. One bathroom and my kitchen were totally removed and rebuilt. The other bathroom was basically refreshed with old wallpaper removed new flooring, bathroom hardware, vanity, mirror and fresh paint. Bill provided the decorating expertise while Tim supplied the project planning, supervision and selection of fantastic craftsman. My kitchen had some layout issues that compromised its utility. These utility issues were completely resolved and I was left with a much more useable space. All three spaces always receive compliments from my guests. I recommend the pair to anyone considering remodeling.

    DURA DOORS
I will start with the positive part of the experience. I originally went with this company on the strong recommendation of my next door neighbor, who was very pleased with his work. The owner (Joel) came out, measured the front door and recommended a particular fiberglass door with sidelight. He quoted me a price and an approximate date when it would be available. No problem so far. The door showed up at the approximate date that I expected it to. The door installer showed up promptly. The quality of the door was very good. We are happy with how the door looked once installed. The problem was with the installation. Unfortunately, I couldn't personally be at home when the door was installed. My wife was the only one at home and she knows nothing about what to look for when a job like this is finished. As it turned out, when the installer was finished, the door did not close properly without some difficulty. The installer told my wife that he hoped that the door would work its' way to proper operation after a bit of use. Well, when I got home, it was obvious I wasn't going to be able to close the door and lock it without some dremeling of both strike plates. This is on a brand new door installation. I also noted that there was an uneven gap at the top of the door with respect to the frame. I took photos and texted them to the owner. He came out a couple of days later and agreed that there was indeed a bit of an uneven gap with the door. As I inspected the door more, it was apparent that both strike plates were really too high for both locks as both locks were binding on the bottom of the strike plates. We made arrangements for the installer to come out again. The time agreed was 9AM. Unfortunately, he showed up at 830AM and we were not at home but close by. I finally arrived at the house just as the installer was finished. Since I expected him to be there for a bit of time I asked him what he did to fix the problem. He said he did something to the hinge. Well, in my mind, he just wasn't there that long to do much of anything. The door did work but it was still a bit stiff. Sure enough, later that day when the sun hit the door, the door failed to lock properly again. On top of that, we gave our dog walker a code to get into the house (electronic lock). She opened it once but never could close the lock as the mechanism again was binding on the strike plate. I eventually took the dremel tool again to it and I finally got it to work reliably. For what I paid for this door, this should never happen. The other issue was that the installer did such a poor job of staining the outside frame around the door. He left noticeable splotches all around the door. I had to order a can of stain from Home Depot and redo it myself. I finally texted the owner after all of this to share my displeasure with the installer's workmanship. To this date, not a reply from the owner. The owner knew I was seriously thinking of replacing a sliding patio door with french doors. I will be doing that but with someone else. If you're in business and you have a somewhat dissatisfied customer, you try to find out how to make it right. Not totally ignore the customer.

    Ben Built Inc
Ben helped me by reconstructing some facets that needed to be retrofitted due to taking stone off of my fireplace.  The trim no longer matched up to the wall and there were large gaps.  I also needed a cricket created on the roof around the fireplace to improve the drainage off my roof prior to re-shingling the roof.  All of the work was top notch.  Great work.

    CAM Contracting, LLC
CAM Contracting replaced old slider doors with french doors on the back of our house.  We have used them in the past to install new windows and flooring.   They have also replaced outside ceilings on our back porches.
From the first day on the job - to the last day on the job, the work ethic is impressive.  We needed three doors replaced along with the french doors installed.  Dave and his team show up everyday on time, work continuously through the day ( not on the phone all  the time),  and ALWAYS clean up the mess from construction.
The french doors were a little bit tricky, but Dave's crew are very knowledgeable and skilled.  They did a beautiful job and the end result is perfection.
We are planning on updating a kitchen soon and I know I can count on CAM Contracting to do a wonderful job for me again.

    Continental Glass

Jamie answered the phone when I called Continental Glass and was efficient and professional. She quickly understood my problem and scheduled a time for Tony to come out and determine whether or not my existing door was repairable. Tony showed up on time and quickly determined that my 40 year old door could not be fixed. That did not surprise me.

I called the office again and talked with Pat, the inside sales representative, and made an appointment to go in, pick out the door my wife wanted and place the order. The visit was pleasant and handled efficiently. We placed the order and was told that the policy was to make full payment at that time. I was not real comfortable with the policy but felt like I was dealing with reputable folks who had been in business a long time so I didn't press the issue and it all turned out well. I was then told it would take two to three weeks for the manufacturer to deliver the door. That didn't exactly thrill me either but it all worked out.

At the appointed time Tony and Jerry came out and did a heck of a job installing the door. They were pleasant, friendly and efficient. Everything considered I was very pleased with the experience.

John's Sliding Door Wheel & Window Spring Repair

I called John Donahue the morning of 04/17/2012 and he returned my call at 5:00 P.M. the same day.  John only repairs sliding glass doors; he doesn't replace them.  When I told John how old my problem door was he told me there was a good chance that he would not be able to repair it.  He recommended two of his competitors who could repair the door if that was possible or replace it if that was the only option.  He went on to suggest that would be a better option and I would possibly save paying him a $50 service call and still not have a serviceable door.

I appreciated John's honesty and in addition found him to be pleasant and friendly as well.  I would call him again in a heartbeat.

    WAYNE DALTON
The spring on our garage door broke early one morning. After checking the phone book and Angie's List I called several places to inquire about repairs, cost estimate and when they could get out to do it. They quoted a price and came out two days later on the date and time I requested. The repair man called early and said he could do it sooner in the day if we would like - worked out great. He had it fixed, tested and cleaned up in a very short time and when I went to pay him he said they usually charged more than what I was quoted. He called the office and they charged even LESS than quoted. Would I use them again - you betcha!
