    On time,  found the problem and scheduled for the next day.  But, received a call later that day and said they could finish right away.  Wasn't expecting service this good but I truly appreciate the efforts.  Would highly recommend Mr. Appliance to anyone needing service for their appliances.  Will definitely call them in the future.  Good job Joe and Felix!

    This provider was paid $309.23 for refrigerator repairs that were not successful. He provided us with a written warranty on his repair work. He returned to our residence once, admitted that he had not repaired the refrigerator, but said he did not know what else to do to fix the appliance.
    We have spent the past month manually defrosting the refrigerator every 2-3 days when the freezer ices. We have lost over $125 of food due to a warm food-storage compartment. We have spent an additional $250 on parts and invested countless hours of time researching and working on the refrigerator.
    Mr. Velilla (owner/technician d/b/a A Thru Z Appliance) has refused to honor his warranty. We have filed a BBB complaint against him, and will pursue legal action if necessary. It is deceptive, dishonest and not right for a business to charge for full repair when the work is not successful or effective and, in fact, makes the original problem worse, particularly when the business guarantees the work in writing and on its website. I assume that this is a common practice for Mr. Velilla, so hopefully, this feedback will protect others from hiring this business in the future.


    UPDATE ON January 6, 2016:

    We have mailed multiple copies of letters dated December 8, 2015, December 20, 2015, and January 5, 2016, to Mr. Gabriel Velilla at both his business and home addresses. All letters have been mailed by both First Class U.S. Mail and Certified U.S. Mail. Mr. Velilla refused to sign for correspondence mailed to him by Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested.

    As of Jan. 6, 2016, we have received no communication of any nature from Mr. Velilla or his business (or any representative of Mr. Velilla or his business) in response to our correspondence or in response to complaints filed against Mr. Velilla and his business with the Better Business Bureau and AngiesList on December 22, 2015 and December 27, 2015, respectively.


    UPDATE ON January 7, 2016:

    Due to Mr. Velilla's continued avoidance of this issue and his failure to respond to us in any fashion, our foreseeable damages are escalating over time. He has been so informed multiple times in our letters, to which he refuses to respond. Consequently, we can no longer settle this matter for $309.23 (refund of money paid for his failed service). In addition to that money paid, our damages include the value of lost food items resulting from his failed work (approx. $125), the additional costs to finally repair our refrigerator after Mr. Velilla's failed attempts (approx. $250), and legal fees and costs (TBD), and any settlement of this matter will require Mr. Velilla's payment of those amounts. Any of our prior statements or suggestions implying that this matter can be settled solely by Mr. Velilla's refunding the $309.23 paid, are hereby withdrawn.

    HARVEY'S REPAIR SVC

    Refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling completely, on a Friday night.   Harvey & Son were here first thing on Monday. (I had put in a couple of frantic calls over weekend and got a call-back on a Sunday!)   Determined that motherboard (or equivalent) element went bad; ordered a new one and had it installed within 24 hours.  An attentive, knowledgeable, and wise team!

    A few weeks after that, I called them when it was determined by a vent cleaning company that my dryer was not venting properly. 

    Harvey determined that the debris was collecting at the back of the dryer rather than filtering through the venting system.   They removed the dryer back and saw all debris; then completely cleaned debris from machine (big mess inside), and the problem was completely solved.   Not a spec of lint or dust remained at the worksite!

    I place a message thru angies list on 8-7, late nigh.  I got a call in the morning before 8am.  Mr.Steve was profesional and honest.  He told me that he was going to be able to come on 8-9.  He call me before getting to my house and told me he was on his way.  He got to my house and in less than 10 minutes told me what was wrong with my machine.  He showed me the filter and told me how to keep my machine working great.  I was very please and happy.  He also gave me additional advice on my dish washer, stove and garbage disposal.  Mr.Steve is outstanding. I never been so happy with a service call.  I will be calling him again.  The price was great. Other companies charged more just to come and figure out what its wrong.

    I called Mr.Dough and set an appoitment for Wednesday August 7.  He had me waiting all day long and never showed up.  He did not even call to tell me he was not coming .  He seems to be very unreliable and unprofessional.  I regret not paying attention to the other reviews about him not showing up.

    We came home from a trip to find that the refrigerator had not been working for several days. I found A Thur Z Appliance Service on Angie's List. He had been to our house once before several yrs ago. I called him by 8:15AM the next morning. He asked me questions as to size and age of the appliance. He told my what his service fee would be to look at it. I agreed to the terms. He was there by 9:15 AM. When he arrived he took a quick look and showed me the part in question. He said he had the part on the truck and gave me a price. By 10AM the repair was finished and the refrigerator was running correctly again.

    They did a great job. He knew what he was doing. It seemed like the labor cost was a lot for the service performed. I had a leaking issue that he could have fixed but he said he was only out to fix the coupler. I felt he should have looked at the other the issue since I paid so much.

    Samsung gave me the name of W V Electronics that take care of their Products,  (mine was a Dishwasher) in the 32809 area. I called and talked to someone in the office and he said the repairman was out  at that time and he would have him call me when he came in. About 10 to 12 days later I got a call to set up an appointment. I told him he was not needed at that time. I would not trust him to do any work if he works like he did in responding to a telephone call and calling me back.. I reported him to Samsung as unreliable and did not respond in a timely manner to my call..
