The first surgery went amazing within 4 days after surgery I was back down to Key West and did not need any pain killers, I was able to take care of my 4 and almost two year old for months alone while my husband was gone without any problems.

Very well. It has been a little over 30 days since the operation. My recovery has been exactly as Dr Shaya said it would. I am most impressed by Dr Shaya's skill however his excellent communication with me was most impressive. Not your typical leave a message that either doesn't get returned or takes so long you forgot the question. He is very accessible and prompt about returning calls. I would definitely recommend Dr. Shaya without hesitation. Also, the office staff is the same way. Prompt and considerate. If you need help with neuroscience this is your guy. I believe he holds special merit certificates and has held different educational positions in neuroscience. I could not be more pleased with him and his office.

He is a great doctor. ...Knowledgeable, caring, personable, everything you could want and look for. The other physicians in the group are also great and his office staff is courteous and pleasant. Plus, the office is run professionally and doctors who are on call actually return your call if you have a serious emergency, as we did.

Dr.Acon wasn't bad, but her office staff & billing practices are unethical. They will charge you for a Wellness visit that's supposed to be no copay, and then change how it's submitted. When questioned, I was told "How we bill is within the scope of the law".

She walked in and the receptionist said she couldn't walk in. My wife insisted that she needed to see someone. As a result the receptionist went to the manager who has been with Dr Chin-Lenn since opening and he became very rude with my wife who was crying and emotional. So much that she left the office in tears and screaming we will never use you again. The staff has no bedside manner and doesn't care about the patients. I overheard the conversation over my wifes phone as she was calling me during the altercation. I would recommend finding another doctor as the staff really doesn't care.

Excellent! I truly love this physician and his caring bedside manner. Additionally, he found colon cancer in my father approximately 3 years ago and I'm happy to say my father has been clear ever since.

It is relatively easy to get an appointment. The staff is friendly and helpful. Both Dr. Tomchik and Dr. Jones communicate well and spend adequate time. I have been a patient with them for about six years.

I have seen both Dr. Maratchi and Dr. Migicovsky. Both very caring. They don't jump into costly tests that they don't feel is warranted even though I have outstanding insurance with no authorizations needed. I have used them over 10 years. Staff si very pleasant as well.

the cysts being removed went fairly well. The shock came when i received a bill from the pathologist they sent the tissue samples to. I was charged $500.00 for their service. If the doctors ofiice had used the inurance company approved  pathologist i would have been charged nothing. I brought this to their attention and they did not do anything about it. I can't help but feel this was a scam to pump up their bottom line. I am thinking about taking them to small claims court.

I initially went to Dr. Stearns to seek treatment for stomach pain. I was seen by her nurse practitioner who took blood work and ordered an unltrasound and a stool culture that was to be done at Quest Diagnostics (Pembroke Pines location).  Immediately after my appointment at Dr. Stearns office, I went to Quest Diagnostics to provide a stool sample. I was unhappy with the poor service at Quest Diagnostics (Pembroke Pines) and went back to Dr. Stearns office for a prescription for another laboratory that same day.
The next day, I received a call from her staff telling me my blood test results were abnormal and I needed to come in for further testing the following day. I asked to speak with the Dr. Stearns and was told she was busy.
The following day I received a call at 5:15pm from her front desk girl, Lourdes, telling me my ultrasound results were also abnormal and Dr. Stearns is referring me to a gastroenterologist. I asked Lourdes some questions and she immediately became condescending and argumentative. I was completely appalled by the way she was relaying my test results and speaking to me. I proceeded to tell her to not call me anymore and I would like to hear directly from Dr. Stearns. She then told me Dr. Stearns does not return calls. The following morning, I called Dr. Stearns office to speak to her prior to my 10:30am appointment that morning. Once again, I was told that the Dr. Stearns was too busy to speak with me. I showed up at Dr. Stearns office at 10:30am to retrieve my medical records and to have them simply call Quest Diagnostics to cancel my prescription for the stool culture. The staff refused to allow me to speak to Dr. Stearns or cancel my prescription at Quest Diagnostics unless I signed a "Patient Refusal of Service" document. I then explained to the staff that I was not refusing services, I simply needed Dr. Stearns to contact Quest Diagnostics to cancel the order, to give me another recommendation and to get some questions answered about my test results and ultrasound. At this point, I was well aware the "Patient Refusal of Services" was not required to cancel the order with Quest Diagnostics and I was being coerced to sign this document which releases Dr, Stearns from further patient care. The staff refused to cancel the order with Quest Diagnostics unless I signed the document. Once again, I told them that this was not required for Quest Diagnostics. I even called Quest Diagnostics while in Dr. Stearns office to verify this. I then pleaded to speak to Dr. Stearns for only 30 seconds, and was told she was too busy today. I then asked to be scheduled for the next available appointment with Dr. Stearns. The front desk guy then said..."we have an opening at 11:30am today." I was required to pay first to see or even speak to the doctor that day. Once in the exam room, Dr. Stearns quickly reviewed the blood test results with me skipping pertinent information. I then began to explain how, Lourdes, the front desk girl is unprofessional and unequipped to relay medical test results and I was here to request her office make one call to Quest Diagnostics to cancel the order.
I then proceeded to tell the Dr. Stearns that I was still experiencing pain in my abdominal and pelvic area. She asked me to lie down and began to quickly and carelessly palpitate my stomach and pelvic region. She quickly said..."I don't feel anything" and I responded..."I do doctor, the pain is right here."
Dr. Stearns then proceeded to say..."I don't think we can meet your expectations." (I was taken aback by the mere fact that she did not even attempt to ask me ANY questions. I am not a doctor, but I would expect the doctor to ask me simple questions like...what is the reason for your visit, are you still experiencing the pain, has any of your symptoms progressed or any new symptoms developed?)
Dr. Stearns then asked me to exit the exam room and to go see Lourdes. As I was saying "Dr. Stearns...",she is abruptly leaves the exam room, leaving me there and does not return. I asked the medical assistant that walked by if Dr. Stearns is returning so we can finish my exam and if I can speak to her in confidentiality. Dr. Stearns never returned to the exam room where I was waiting. I then went back to the front desk to get confirmation that the order to Quest Diagnostics was cancelled. At this point, Lourdes, the front desk girl was very uncooperative, refusing to answer my questions and reluctant to even followup with Quest Diagnostics.
I would never recommend Dr. Stearns and her staff for healthcare. I urge you to seek another doctor who will treat you with care and respect.
I would also suggest you research Dr. Stearns reviews. Not good.
